Still being sick at 14 weeks - more likely girl than boy?

I'm still suffering badly with nausea and sickness at 14 weeks. Most people I talk to who've been in the same boat seem to have had girls so, just for a bit of fun really, wanted to ask if this was the same for anyone on here.

DH is desperate for a boy so he's not enjoying this old wives' tale too much 😂

I have two boys and a girl, the sickness varied for each pregnancy but was worst for DS2.

Emma9876 · 30/06/2020 07:14

I was sick until 21 weeks and had a boy! If the tale is true I definitely dread having a second and it potentially being a girl!!

InvincibleInvisibility · 30/06/2020 07:15

I was sick the whole 9 months with both my pregnancies. Both boys.

Glitterheart · 30/06/2020 07:15

Very sick with both my pregnancies until 23 ish weeks - both girls! May well have been the same if I’d had boys though.... hope you’re feeling less sick soon!

MashedSpud · 30/06/2020 07:16

No morning sickness with ds and lots with dd.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 30/06/2020 07:16

Nutrigrainygoodness · 30/06/2020 07:17

I wasn't sick once and I had a girl.

DuaLipa95 · 30/06/2020 07:18

I have one boy and three girls. With my son I had no sickness at all, but I was sick from 5-16 weeks with all of my girls .

peachypetite · 30/06/2020 07:18

I think this is often old wives tale....one of my friends suffered immensely throughout her whole pregnancy and had a boy!

user1493413286 · 30/06/2020 07:18

My sickness continued to 16 weeks with both my children and I’ve had a boy and girl.

Passthecake30 · 30/06/2020 07:21

I have one of each, never actually sick but felt much more nauseous with ds.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 30/06/2020 07:22

1st pregnancy - mild nausea until 11 wks then had 2 wks nausea free before it came back with a vengeance at 13 wks and i was so nauseaous my 20min drive to qork could take up to an hour because i had to pull over so often and retch, i was only actually sick once the whole time. It lasted until i gave birth. Boy

Pregnancy 2 - mild nausea until 14wks then it disappeared. Girl

Pregnancy 3 - no nausea at all. Girl

cptartapp · 30/06/2020 07:26

Sick for months both times. Two boys.

20viona · 30/06/2020 07:26

I had no sickness or nausea whatsoever and it was a girl.

Pipandmum · 30/06/2020 07:36

Nah - friend not too sick with first: boy. Really really sick with second (boy). Really sick with third (amazed she had another): girl.
I was mildly sick throughout with both mine: one of each.

userabcname · 30/06/2020 07:39

Haha nope! I had HG my whole pregnancy with my first son. And was sick twice a day until 16 weeks with my second son!

flibbertmygibbert · 30/06/2020 08:03

I have one of each. Both of my pregnancies were exactly the same. I wasn’t sick a single time with either of them but get extremely nauseous for exactly 12 weeks.

BaronessBomburst · 30/06/2020 08:05

I was sick and nauseous the entire pregnancy. He was a boy.

Namechange8471 · 30/06/2020 08:06

I was sick a total of 2 times throughout my pregnancy.
She was a girl 😂

SallyWD · 30/06/2020 08:06

I have one of each and felt more sick with my son.

Sallycinnamum · 30/06/2020 08:07

I had very little sickness with DS but I was terribly ill with DD which was why I wasn't surprised when i had my second scan to find out I was having a girl.

The sickness was so awful I'm glad she was my last child. I'm not sure could've done it a second time!

jennyt82 · 30/06/2020 08:12

I had sickness until 12 weeks with 3 of my pregnancies - all boys. I was sick until 25 weeks in my 4th (and last!) Pregnancy - another boy!!!

daydreamerfordays · 30/06/2020 08:21

Thank you - I love all of your replies!! Except the ones that make me think this sickness isn't guaranteed to go away any time soon, or at all....! x
