Pram and a Fiat 500!!

Need some help!

Does anyone have a Fiat 500 pop, and if so, what pram did you get which fits in the boot?

Had my heart set on the Cosatto giggle 2, but looking at the dimensions I don't think it's going to fit.

Any help/advice would be very much appreciate TIA

I've got a Clio and also starting to have the same concerns...🙈

Birdy1991 · 18/06/2020 18:13

Following as I also have a fiat 500 and am slightly worried 🙈

maryberryslayers · 18/06/2020 18:16

Just look for a compact one that you can use from birth baby zen yo-yo with the newborn attachment for example. I think the bugaboo ant can be used from birth but you'd have to check.

beccalyn · 18/06/2020 18:18

I used the baby zen yoyo which fit easily into the boot of my Fiat 500.

Schumann · 18/06/2020 18:20

Bugaboo bee, fits perfectly 👍

marauder1994 · 18/06/2020 18:31

Thank you! I like the travel systems but have no idea what might fit. But I'm not in a position to sell my car as I'm still paying the finance x

My friend has a Fiat 500 and discovered that she couldn't fit her icandy in it.

She had to buy the smallest folding umbrella buggy to fit in the boot.

ThistleAmongRoses · 18/06/2020 18:50

Regarding the iCandy Peach, I bought one a few weeks ago after reading up on it (probably would've went for a smaller choice if I'd have known the following) and can get the frame into my boot however the wheels need to be removed and there is no way that you'll also get the carrycot (if you buy one) in there too. So I'm buying a compatible car seat that I can use for out and about the first few months if I need to.

Scruffyoak · 18/06/2020 18:54

I had to get a quinny zapp
Soon got bored of it and got a bigger car that meant no folding!

foreverbroody26 · 18/06/2020 19:02

I have the egg pram. I could fit the base and the seat (can't think what it's called but the seat for 6 months +) in the boot of my fiat 500 but I couldn't fit the carrycot in the boot which we used for the first few months, that usually went in the front which was a pain. Loved my fiat though and only got a new car when DD moved on to a bigger carseat.

Johnson10 · 18/06/2020 19:11

I have a swift, getting a pram in isn’t happening. I’ve just bought a bigger car. Swap cars if you can, save the hassle.

marauder1994 · 18/06/2020 19:13

@Johnson10 I can't switch cars with still having 4 years of finance on my fiat 500 :(

I had the Jane matrix in mine, it fit fine.

Ginismyfriend · 18/06/2020 19:16

We had a Quinny buzz in ours - had to disassemble it but the bits went in fine. One time we drove to the top of Scotland from the U.K. with the travel system and an IKEA Antilop Grin. I miss my Fiat!

baby456 · 18/06/2020 20:02

Mamas & Papas Ocarro, just one back wheel need to be taken off to fit in

Johnson10 · 18/06/2020 20:24

Oh god ... good luck haha. Hats off to anyone who manages with a small car.

KatoPotato · 18/06/2020 20:26

This happened to me with DS1. The bugaboo bee fits in the boot - but with absolutely nothing else!

I ended up taking mine back to the dealer and although it was in finance they just swapped the car for me, it's worth asking!

HowFastIsTooFast · 18/06/2020 20:31

Yikes good luck! I have a Fiat 500 luckily all paid off; as soon as we get a BFP it'll be part-ex'd in for a 5 door with a decent boot even if it's an older one. I can't be bothered with the faff of a car seat in a 3 door.

1990shopefulftm · 18/06/2020 20:32

not a fiat 500, but we've got a hyundai i10 which has quite a small boot and have been looking at travel systems like this one www.smythstoys.com/uk/en-gb/baby/pushchairs-and-strollers/travel-systems/origin-by-babylo-2-in-1-travel-system-and-car-seat-charcoal/p/184092?gclid=CjwKCAjwwYP2BRBGEiwAkoBpAvTHG5zdTdBWtWduimjWliiePlf9CLCZFnZmoxPWHtoGblQAZxngMxoCaY4QAvD_BwE .

Basically the seat converts until a lie flat part so it's not a separate carry bulky carry cot.

UrsulaSings · 18/06/2020 20:45

I have a hyundai i10 with a very, very small boot and ended up getting an ergobaby metro. It's got similar dimensions to the babyzen yoyo and really good reviews but not quite as expensive.

TheCraicDealer · 18/06/2020 20:50

I had a Fiat 500 in beige, brown interior. I loved that car. The boot is very small, but you could get away with a travel type or compact pram (Bugaboo Bee, Cybex Eezy, Yo-Yo, Cossato Woosh, Uppababy Minu, Ergobaby Metro, etc). But you'll have to skip a bassinet, which some people are ok with but I liked for when DD was tiny. You'll also have space for nothing else in the boot, which is very inconvenient if you need to do a shop or anything.

But it's not the just pram, it's also getting a car seat in and out of a three door car. Is it impossible? No. Is it time consuming, awkward and a pain in the arse? YES.

I'd try talking to the dealer. With the present situation there will be deals to be had on new or nearly new cars. Being in the middle of a finance agreement shouldn't matter. It's worth asking the question.

NB I briefly looked at the Ant for our travel pram but it got a Don't Buy from Which?- the handle broke during testing!

TiggeryBear · 18/06/2020 21:15

Mamas &Papas Armadillo Flip. Managed to get it in the boot of Mini which if I recall is slightly smaller than the 500

dillydallydollydaydream7 · 18/06/2020 21:52

🙈 I hope you manage to get sorted soon!

I have a Mokka X and can fit the full travel system for a Babylo Panorama (Barr the car seat) in the boot but shopping still has to go elsewhere in the car! I agree about speaking to your finance company if you can

marauder1994 · 19/06/2020 14:35

Thank you everyone! We popped to the dealer today and asked about swapping cars and were told a very definite no! So will have to make do with ruby the Fiat haha

My sister had a baby 2 years ago, at the time I had a small boot car (baby brain I can't seem to remember what make car it was), she had the joie chrome, It fit in the boot by taking the wheels off and taking the shelf out of the boot! Was a pain but worked! Try find a pushchair that you can take the wheels off
