Firstly, I am so thankful that I am pregnant and the baby is healthy. Please please no judgements.
I have a daughter already (one year old) and went for a scan and was told it is a girl (18 weeks).
Two questions
1)based on the scan could it be wrong or is it definitely definitely a girl?
2) has anyone had gender disappointment? I feel so guilty for feeling this way :(

Awe. That's lovely news!!! It's just all about giving yourself time to get your head around it, that's all!! And in a few months you will be able to tell the next worrier who raises the same issue, that it will all be fine!! Thanks for the update!! X

I had the opposite to you but similar feelings- first baby was a girl. Didn’t find out with second but for some reason I was just sure it was another girl- I’m so close to my sisters, they have only girls themselves, I had just pictured DD with a sister bond like I’d always had. Then out popped DS! I was shocked, and feel horrendous to say it but a tiny bit disappointed. It didn’t last of course, and now I adore that little boy so much, I can’t imagine him not being in my life- but not because he is or isn’t a boy, just because he’s amazing as an individual! And DD adores him! Am now pregnant with number 3 and couldn’t care less what we’re having! Once you’ve got that little girl in your arms you will be absolutely fine, I guarantee it!
