When (if) did you loose your belly button?

I have an innie, but over the last week it's got really sore and feels bruised (to touch and if I push my stomach out).

I'm 25 weeks and the idea of it "popping" freaks me out.

I have placenta previa and an anterior placenta of that makes any difference.

Do they go back after childbirth or will it forever be out?

I'm currently tittering on the edge of an outie atm and it's freaking me out looking at it lol😫. I'm 25+5 and it's looking a bit strange atm , my partner keeps winding me up saying it's gonna be an outie soon...I hope they return to normal after birth!

CrossFreelancer · 23/04/2020 22:55

I can't remember when mine popped. I think it just stretched a lot really.

It's back to looking like an innie again, but it's all stretched and more of a Horizontal '0' now.
😅 It used to be a neat little vertical '0'

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/04/2020 23:01

Around 36 weeks I think it popped out after a big meal then popped back in again. Did it again a few times but it always went back in quite quickly and it doesn’t look any different now.

There’s a mole at the bottom of my belly button that I never knew about and will probably never see again. The wonders of pregnancy Smile

GrumpyHoonMain · 23/04/2020 23:02

Mine didn’t pop it just hurt - but I never had much of a bump.

Zippetydoodahzippetyay · 23/04/2020 23:05

Mine slowly became flatter and then turned into more of an outie over the course of a few weeks late in third trimester. After my first two pregnancies it went completely back to normal so I expect it to again this time.

Mmc224 · 23/04/2020 23:07

35 weeks today and not popped yet, but very nearly.

enchantedspleen · 23/04/2020 23:12

Big outie here at 38 weeks! RIP cute little innie, it lasted until about 28 weeks.

It's really not a big deal, I'm kind of fascinated by it.

Lilice · 23/04/2020 23:28

Mine popped out in my second pregnancy (but not my first) when I was about 6 months. It went back to normal after the birth.

kittykat7210 · 23/04/2020 23:41

I’ve still got an innie at 35 weeks 😂🙈 I havrr Er my evening got a deep belly button, it must just be stubborn 😅

kittykat7210 · 23/04/2020 23:41

I haven’t even got*

PrinnyPree · 24/04/2020 08:54

36 weeks and still got an innie even though my bump is huge!

userabcname · 24/04/2020 09:01

I have a cavernous innie and it never popped despite me having massive bumps in both pregnancies!

IStressheadI · 24/04/2020 09:03

Mine never popped despite nearly going to 42 weeks.
My mum and my sister never popped either, wonder if it's genetic somehow? Confused

MichelleOR84 · 24/04/2020 09:10

I never lost my belly button but around 28 weeks , maybe a bit before that , it turned black. Please tell me I’m not the only one 😂😂😂! I would show people and they thought it was so bizarre. My black belly button turned white again around 6 months postpartum!

Dyra · 24/04/2020 09:20

No belly button pop here. It did get shallower, but I figure it's too deep normally to ever completely go.

SparkleUK · 24/04/2020 09:21

I never lost it but it definitely went shallower!

Babyshine2020 · 24/04/2020 09:30

I've always joked that my belly button goes on forever, like I've never been able to see the bottom of it, but it's certainty become a lot flatter and the end is in sight 😂 I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it goes.

Mine never did pop out
I had a belly bar in till the day I went in to be induced (pregnancy one)

Gertrudetheadelie · 24/04/2020 09:31

Mine never popped put either and I was nearly 2 weeks overdue!

redwoodmazza · 24/04/2020 09:40

Mine never changed.
Didn't get morning sickness, cravings or stretch marks!

Watto1 · 24/04/2020 09:43

Mine never popped out but it got very, very shallow. Almost flat. It’s gone back to how it used to be though.

AnotherMurkyDay · 24/04/2020 09:44

Mine never popped.

mamansnet · 24/04/2020 09:56

Mine's starting to look a bit weird at 23 weeks but hadn't popped out yet. DS (3) thinks it's the phone mouthpiece for talking to his future little sister so hope it stays a bit hollow!

Gtugccbjb · 24/04/2020 09:58

Never! But I have the worlds deepest bellybutton. It got to nearly flat and my bump was huge. Post baby it’s deeper than ever??

Emberfoot · 24/04/2020 10:09

31wks here and mine is about half as deep as it was, but it used to be the Marianas trench so I am not expecting it to pop out lol 😂
