Lower back ache - early pregnancy

Hi,

So I'm very early 3+5 but I woke up this morning with lower back ache, I took paracetamol and it eased off but now it's back and almost is like a stingy/burning ache, it's causing me discomfort, I don't have spotting, cramps or a temp. I took paracetamol at 9pm so can't have any more now until tomorrow. Is this common in early pregnancy? Thanks to anyone in advance who replies xxx

I just made a similar thread to this because I was freaking out. Mine came in suddenly today lasted like three hours. Its eased off a bit now. kept checking for bleeding but clear yet. I hope it’s just ligament plain. And congrats. Just turned four weeks.

During my last mc, the week leading up to it I had stomach pain leading to go to the toilet a lot and that’s just made me so paranoid.

@Aly92 omg we're in the same boat thank god we can discuss together!! Honestly it was painful this morning, eased off with paracetamol but it's back and it's so sore, I'm checking I'm not bleeding but so far so good xx

Mine felt like the equivalent to period cramping but in my back which is weird I know. And it’s mainly on the left side. I can still feel it it’s just not as bad. Might sound weird but I’ve not taken paracetamol. I know I should but I’ve always been a bit funny like that. Want to know what’s going on with my body so just avoiding it as long As I can

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:32

No mines not like period pain, when I have period pain it comes and goes but this is just there for ages just sore, I'm tempted to seek medical advice but they're all so stretched at the moment I know they'll say it's too early to scan and go home and rest xx I had an early loss in October so I think I'm just super anxious xx

I remember having back pain when pregnant. Still had it at 8 weeks. All was ok (she's now 7!).
Good luck with your pregnancy

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:35

Thanks @MrsBlondie was it your lower back? Xx

Hey! I found out I was pregnant at exactly 3 weeks 6 days and the day after I found out I had really low pain back ache for a full day. I was so worried something bad was happening.
I guess it was to do with implantation as I'm 24 weeks pregnant now!

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:41

Thanks @jdy123 that's reassuring!! I'm hoping it'll fade in the next day or so xx

Yeah same here there’s still like a dull pain there. Hoping it’s all gone in the morning when I wake up. Maybe we’ve just stressed our bodies out a bit much. Have to remember where at the beginning stages where our bodies have a lot of adjusting to do. I remember after two mc. I was so paranoid I quit work and I spent a lot of time resting. I didn’t care what anyone
Thought I was determined for the baby to stick. And I had my daughter. Listen to your body. Try to rest tomorrow as much as possible.

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:43

@Aly92 I agree I think after a loss you just prioritise yourself and rightly so, I really hope it eases off for both of us, we're very early and it's not uncommon apparently xx

I’m in the same boat guys. I’m also very early (5 weeks) but have period cramps, thankfully zero bleeding as of yet. But I’m petrified as I’ve had 2 previous miscarriages 😔 Fingers crosses for you all xx

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:45

@Sophie55 it's so hard to just relax isn't it, after a loss you just want to be excited but any ache or pain I just overthink it xx I hope your cramps get better xx

Might sound kind of crazy but only my husband knows. My mother was on the phone talking to me about me having another baby and I couldn’t bring myself to tell her in case I had a mc. I know it might sound horrible but I really couldn’t deal with telling even family I was pregnant and then shortly after that I’d lost it if I did. Going to get a early scan at 8 weeks of all goes well and the tell.

So reassuring to hear your replies

AliSxo · 09/04/2020 23:56

Agreed I've not told my mom yet as I want to be more excited, she's very excitable and sometimes when I'm anxious about a Mc it's too much.... I'm taking it a day at a time xxx let me know how you feel tomorrow with your back x

I have severe lower back pain which wouldn't go it turned out to be a kidney infection so just an extra thing to keep an eye out for if it doesn't go. I'd never had one before so wasn't aware how painful it could be. I'm now 21 weeks. Good luck :) x

AliSxo · 10/04/2020 00:11

Thanks @Em91 I've had a kidney infection before they're awful, I found that the pain was always more to be on my side, this is lower central xx

Hi. I don't know what's happening. I just took a test and it took ages to get going and then it was negative. I don't know if it was a dodgy test. I really hope so but am fearing the worst.

No one is still posting on other thread.

I've thrown the wee away now so can't do another one.

happymummy12345 · 10/04/2020 00:20

I had lower back pain in early pregnancy. I was about 7 days pregnant, had no idea I was at the time. Dh and I went to a concert, it was at an o2 academy and we wanted to be right at the front. So we were stood right at the front from 7pm for about 4 hours. The whole time I had this pain in my back. We met the band after and they commented that I looked in pain. 2 weeks later I found out I was pregnant and immediately realised that was why I was in pain. That was 4 and a half years ago.

happymummy12345 · 10/04/2020 00:20

Good luck op

bitheby · 10/04/2020 00:21

And yes I've been crampy and achey today. I have backache now.

Aly92 · 10/04/2020 00:34

Have you just missed your period. How late are you? And don’t panic

bitheby · 10/04/2020 00:39

Me or OP? I'm 6 days late. Has positive pregnancy tests last Friday until this Monday.

Just wanted one to reassure me and it didn't give me that. Hoping it was a dodgy test but now the cramps I was feeling were a positive sign I know fear are a negative sign.

AliSxo · 10/04/2020 00:39

@bitheby I have replied to you on the other thread x
