Hello, just thought I would see who else was out there at around 14 weeks, same as me!
Would be nice to chat to others at the same stage about what we are experiencing and how and when everyone starts getting bits and becoming slightly more organised.

Hi mummy2be20
I hope it's ok if I join in, I'm 15+6 today.

I've bought a couple of things because so many shops have shut, even a few of the online ones I wanted to order from. I was thinking there might be a back log when they reopen and I'm the type of person that needs to be prepared well in advance. I've bought a side sleeper, an all in one travel cot/bassinet/changer for downstairs and to go to Granny's when baby is bigger. Also bought a nursing pillow, seriliser, two bottles just in case. Some clothes, just enough for hospital bag really. And I'm knitting him some hats and a blanket, to try to keep myself busy 😂

@kersh33 I want to start looking and getting little essentials and bits but I am worried I'll jinx something 🤦🏽‍♀️ who knows when the right time is 😂

@Sulkypatsy wow you've got loads!! I am 16+3, i haven't thought of it at all. We have two outfits!! I want to start ordering little bits so that I can be organised and spread cost but it's not going well at all.

I think we may paint the to be nursery the just white base colour to pass some time, won't buy anything big until after 20 week scan!! Everyone has different ideas of when to shop and I just want to start but not sure when haha.

Are you ladies feeling babies yet?x

@emma278 did you find out about watery discharge? I’ve been having loads and worrying! X

@Sulkypatsy I really want to be buying stuff, luckily my sister in law is giving us her bedside sleeper so we won’t have to pay for that. I want to be looking at prams too as only have a fiat 500 so need to be testing driving and folding etc. I don’t like to buy online as keep seeing people say it’s not essential but to us it is as we need stuff 😂

@Mummy2be20 I’m 16 weeks exactly today, it’s going so quick and I’ve now heard all this corona may go on for 6 months and I’m so scared I’ll have to give birth alone as reading people are 🤦🏽‍♀️ Have found some private scan places that will still offer a scan with a partner so if mines not allowed I’ll pay xx

Sunflower2019 · 30/03/2020 11:52

@kersh33 I feel you, we are in a 2 bed but I have a 12 year old daughter already so we needed a 3 bed but will have to all be put on hold xx

emma278 · 30/03/2020 11:54

@Sunflower2019 no nothing just got pied off and now my midwife appt has been cancelled this week so who knows. It eased off a bit over the weekend so ive decided to tell myself its normal as its been a few weeks now and given the current climate theres not much that can be done. Ive thought about booking a scan as there are still some nearby but dont know what to do for the best? 🤷🏼‍♀️. Xx

Mummy2be20 · 30/03/2020 13:26

@Sunflower2019 I know it's so scary! I think they are letting you have 1 birthing partner or something!! I don't know, I am scared! Hopefully if we are all isolating and being careful our partners can come in too! I have also said that to him that if he can't come to my 20 week scan then we will go private for it.
I have spoken to the surgery and the midwife this morning in regards as to whether we can both go for the 16week appt on Wednesday as it's obviously heart beat 😍 and I have been told that's fine as long as we aren't waiting for the appt in the waiting room!!

@emma278 I've had watery discharge on and off too and it's changing all the time, I spoke to the hospital where I will be having baby and my midwife and they said it all sounds normal and as long as there's no blood and I'm not in agony then not to worry x

@emma278 Ive been having discharge here and there too my midwife has said its normal and most pregnant woman have it

@Sunflower2019 Ive had my midwife appointment cancelled too. Im a little bit gutted if I'm honest

Mummy2be20 · 06/04/2020 21:10

@Astar123 I can't stop looking at baby things online!!
Has anyone's boobs started leaking yet? I noticed today when I had no bra on that mine are a little, I asked my midwife and she said it's nothing to worry about and lots of people start leaking early on. I was in shock that it happened so soon!!
