Hello, just thought I would see who else was out there at around 14 weeks, same as me!
Would be nice to chat to others at the same stage about what we are experiencing and how and when everyone starts getting bits and becoming slightly more organised.

@Mummy2be20 feeling very tired haha. I have a 15 month old as well so I feel like I have no energy constantly. I've had 3 mmc previously and this pregnancy is consultant led due to a sub chorionic bleed thats made me have a few big bleeds that have worried me! I get extra scans though so at least I get to see bub more! How are you feeling? Xx

Mummy2be20 · 21/03/2020 11:04

@SavanahXx I am exhausted as well! But then wake so much during the night. I am a private nanny so have a 1 and 2 year old all week!! I feel you.
Oh gosh how scary!! At least you get to see baby which should really help :) I hope all carries on heading in the right direction!!
I am just sleepy as I said and weeing lots, I don't have a bump yet but defiantly have a bump coming though!
I'm only 15 weeks but the last couple of nights when led on my back I have had a funny faint bubbley feeling in my lower tummy!! I have now decided its defiantly that I am starting to feel baby!! The sonographer did say I should feel it early due to a low placenta (fingers crossed its started to move up) 🤦🏽‍♀️

Ahhhh! Its so exciting to hear all your stories 😍 im 14+2 and due on 17th Sept.
This is our first baby and I have no idea what to expect in anything, so its been quite an anxious/exciting time so far!!

Im so glad to have found a thread that is focussing on the positives ❤️

SavanahXx · 21/03/2020 18:05

@Mummy2be20 im the exact same. Have 0 energy then just can't sleep for anything at night!! And oh dear haha. Ones hard enough, let alone two! I've had a bump for a few weeks. I already look around 6 months gone haha. I didn't show till about 6 months with my DD. Even then it wasn't really obvious. It's amazing feeling the baby move isnt it! I can feel mine too if Im sat or lay a certain way 😊😊😊

@Married2019 i bet you're so excited. It's such an amazing time! X

Mummy2be20 · 21/03/2020 18:51

@SavanahXx It's horrible isn't it.. I have had a horrible dull head ache today all day that keeps reappearing and feel shattered!!
It is hard work!
I just have a tummy that looks like I'm getting fat 😂
I was not expecting to feel baby this early on!! But it's deffo those flutters! I can't wait until I get more used to it and then I'll feel it more! How far gone were you with your first when you felt her move?

@Married2019 yay congratulations, I am a first timer too which is why I thought this thread was a good idea!! It's so lovely to know we are all going through similar things!x

Hi Ladies! Im due Sep 10th. 15+3 today. Feeling ok but super anxious. Im a worrier anyway so being pregnant has this in overdrive ! Xx

Sunflower2019 · 22/03/2020 08:35

Hey everyone,

I’ve been feeling baby too, I’ve had a couple of strong kicks too!
Has anyone ventured out? I’ve been in the car and in the garage but not to a supermarket for a week now, my partners edgy about letting me! I do suffer with asthma too though so got to be a little more careful!

I’ve also had headaches for days now, and with lack of paracetamol struggling! Have my midwife app (2nd one) 30th March, wish it was sooner so I could discuss things with her! I thought midwifes would at least of called around to make us feel more at ease.

Least we can chat on here :) I’m hoping this all blows over soon so we can start really enjoying things. With my first dd I didn’t have a baby shower but was hoping I could this time but who knows and I want to be out buying baby bits soonish and looking at prams but I can’t either! Sad times xxx

emma278 · 22/03/2020 09:02

@Sunflower2019 such a worrying time 😢 i cried so much that i couldnt see my parents today but its for the best.

Ive got drs tomo because ive had a panic about how much watery discharge is normal. Im sure its being at home
Constantly making my mind go into overdrive!!! Xx

Mummy2be20 · 22/03/2020 09:07

@emma278 hello, I am also a huge worrier so this does make it a lot worse and had a MC just over a year ago!

@Sunflower2019 you've had kicks too! I wouldn't know whether it was kicks or whether it's something else haha.
I have only been able to feel baby flutters when led on my back, talking about it though over the last 20 mins or so say in a chair I can feel a king of dull bubbley vibrating (weird feeling) it's so much to get used too and to work out whether its just gas or the baby 😂
I have asthma also, I am a private nanny so still working but just not really going anywhere!! It's driving me mad!! I have been to the Tesco metro in town but that's about it. I am wondering when I should call it quits and just decide to self isolate although my partner is a mechanic and he is still working.. need to look at what we are entitled too because I don't want to risk it if it ends up getting worse!! Which I'm sure it will.
I am able to just text my midwife if I need to, she gives out her number. I don't do it a lot as don't wish to pester but if it's really bad then I have and also the hospital that I'm having baby at I can call the midwives and ask questions there apparently!?
I want to go out and look at baby bits although don't think we will but much until after 20 week scan xx

@Mummy2be20 so sorry about your miscarriage, wishing you a healthy pregnancy xx

kersh33 · 22/03/2020 11:07

I'm due on the 6th September so just a little ahead. I've definitely got a little baby bump now. 😍

So far the pregnancy has gone pretty well, though strangely I am now feeling the least pregnant I have felt despite being able to see the evidence. The nausea and the sore bobs have both gone.

I am in France so the lockdown is interfering a little bit with our plans - notably with buying a house so we can move out of our one bedroom flat!! So I think the last few months will be a bit hectic as we can't buy anything ahead of time either as all the shops are closed and we don't have any space to store anything either!

But we are taking one day at a time and I'm sure we'll work it out!

wineaholic27 · 22/03/2020 11:36

Hello!
Please can I join in, will be 14 weeks tomorrow; due 21/09/20.

Looking forward to sharing the journey with other ladies at similar stages :)

We were planning on telling both our families today but we told them on Thursday just incase we went into lockdown.

Everyone is so excited and so am I! But I'm a bit apprehensive about what's to come in view of CV.

Hope everyone else is well!

Mummy2be20 · 22/03/2020 13:42

@emma278 thank you 💕

That is the same as me!! I don't really feel pregnant other than constant weeing and headaches!!
I know, it's a nightmare!! And trying to stay away from it as much as possible as well! Good luck with it all :)
Welcome @wineaholic27 !! I wonder if we will go in to lock down!! More stress about not working and money but less stress in regards to health and looking after our baba's!
It's so lovely how I can feel baby 😍

SavanahXx · 25/03/2020 21:45

Hi ladies! I hope you're all doing well. I had a scan booked in for today, but when I got to the hospital, they decided this wasn't the case and just seen the consultant instead. I definitely wasn't happy at a wasted journey when they could of rang me! On the plus side, because they knew I was highly annoyed at leaving dd with her 'extremely vulnerable' grandma to go to the appointment, the consultant had a midwife use the Doppler even though they aren't suppose to until 24 weeks. So I got a nice recording of bubs heartbeat for me, dad and DD to listen too! They did my 18 week appointment whilst I was there, so that i didn't have to go to my gp in two weeks. Just got to wait for my 20 week scan next month. Only 4 weeks away! Hows everyone feeling? Im having proper kicks every so often. It's amazing. But makes me panicky when I don't feel them at least every day!!

I also look very far along for what I am too! Gosh, I dread to think of how big I'll be by the end of the pregnancy! Hows everyone handling the lockdown and being pregnant?? X

kersh33 · 26/03/2020 09:12

I'm now 17+6 for my first pregnancy and still waiting to feel the first movements, I can't wait!! Having said that I do have terrible gas Blush, so suspect that even if I felt something I'd probably put it down to that!!

Next scan is end of April, all my routine appointments have currently been cancelled because of the coronavirus - I think they are trying to work out how they can manage these in the future - probably via a mix of telephone appointments and reduced in person visits. But still waiting to hear!

Mummy2be20 · 27/03/2020 12:55

Hello 👋
I am getting so stressed by all of this!! I have my 16 week midwife appt on Wednesday, I am 16weeks today.
Feeling baby lots now, it's very discrete but deffo baby!!
My drs surgery has several different practises so have closed one just for midwife appts and gynaecology which seems good.

OP posts:
Sunflower2019 · 28/03/2020 08:29

@Mummy2be20 my midwife has cancelled my appointments 😫 I have her number but it’s not the same.
I have my scan the end of April and still hoping partner can come, they’ve told me they encouraging not too but if needed he can. I’m going to go with the flow. I think if we can’t take partners we should be able to FaceTime or do a video at least.
Exciting feeling baby kick. I’ve been feeling little bits here and there and last night dp felt it :) xx

kersh33 · 28/03/2020 08:57

I'm in the same boat re routine appointments. Currently I know that partners aren't allowed in scan appointments, mine is also not till the end of April so hoping it might have eased off by then. 🤞

Still no baby movements - I'm 18+1 today. Really hoping to feel something soon as just some reassurance that all is still well.

Mummy2be20 · 28/03/2020 11:53

@Sunflower2019 I spoke to the surgery yesterday and it is all still going ahead. I go to the dr office for my appts do you or do they come to your home? My midwife said she would come to my home if needs be.
It's all so stressful!! Your partner felt baby last night? Mine is gutted he can't feel it, he says it isn't fair 😂
@kersh33 I hope you feel baby soon, I have been told I'm relatively early to feel as it is my first. They said my placenta was at the bottom which worries me, I hope it's moved up by my next scan!!

Oh my goodness, my scan is the end of April too!! I really hope my partner can come too!! He will be gutted if he isn't allowed like I sure all of yours will be!! Fingers crossed

OP posts:
emma278 · 28/03/2020 14:12

@Sunflower2019 mine too. I feel so upset. I just dont know how they are going to do urine checks and blood pressure and bloods. Im so anxious already and this has just added to it. Considering booking a private scan so i dont have to wait til end if april. I might lose my mind by then!! Xx

Sunflower2019 · 28/03/2020 19:35

@emma278 I feel you :( Apparently they’re cancelling all private ones too? Xx

Sunflower2019 · 28/03/2020 19:38

@Mummy2be20

That’s good! I’m not seeing my midwife at all :( she’s told me I can text her 🙄 Infeel pretty alone about it all!

Yes my partner felt baby last night, but I don’t always feel it, like tonight nothing! I can’t wait to feel some strong kicks, will make me feel more at ease as atm apart from tiredness and headaches i feel normal 🤣

Xx

Mummy2be20 · 28/03/2020 22:09

@Sunflower2019 oh that's no good!! I really hope this all sorts out soon!!
Oh gosh, my partner will be hand on tummy constantly now I've told him that 😂
Yes that's the same for me!! Tired and on off headaches, today my nipples are very very sore. So weird how symptoms come and go!

OP posts:
Mummy2be20 · 29/03/2020 21:08

Has anyone brought anything at all yet or even thought about the nursery?

OP posts:
kersh33 · 30/03/2020 07:50

Not yet - as first time parents I think we were hoping to be able to go and have a look at things like prams, car seats, cribs etc... to get an idea. Obviously that's not possible right now so we're waiting to see if shops will reopen or not.

We also have the added wrinkle that we were looking to move out of our one bedroom flat into a house prior to all do this and that's obviously on hold too. So we also need to think about whether we are likely to be able to move and what would fit into the flat if we can't!
