Early scan

I am 6 weeks today I have booked a private scan for 2 weeks time so I will be 8 weeks. Me and my partner are really impatient lol we have known about the pregnancy for nearly 3 weeks so to wait until the 12 week scan seems forever. I have never had an early scan before just the 12 week one so not sure what to expect? What we will see.

@KimH88 I'm not doing too bad thanks, had 3 days of very light brown spotting (sorry TMI!) but it seems to be ending now. Got my internal scan on Friday morning.

I work in a hospital (non clinical) so at least I can stay busy in the circumstances. Thanks for thinking of me

@KimH88 So I'm back from the hospital. Apparently the TVUS was 'inconclusive' and she couldn't even see a sac this time. They think I've either passed it this week, or I'm having an ectopic. Had my bloods taken and I've got to go back in 48 hours to compare HCG levels.

They've let me come home as I'm not in pain and they're happy with my observations. I'm hoping I've passed it, really don't want be having surgery at a time like this! Had a cry but I'm ok x

@Jane0510 aww I'm so sorry 😢 i really hope you don't have to have surgery too. Fingers crossed for you. I'm thinking of you ❤️x

@KimH88 I'm ok thanks. Went for repeat hcg blood tests today and my levels have dropped a bit which means that the products of conception shouldn't be growing anymore.

I had a quick read of my notes today (I know you're not supposed to but my work is medical!). They're querying a cornual ectopic which means it's implanted right at the junction of the tube and uterus so I've got to have another ultrasound tomorrow with a consultant to check it's measurements then I'm hoping I'll get the option of medical management.

How are things it's you, all progressing well? x

@Jane0510 hope all went well today. I'm at the hospital next Monday but I've got to go alone my parent can't come the hospital won't allow it with everything going on 😢 understandable though x
