Hello, just need to express this somewhere.
I've done 2 pregnancy tests, both positive. Here's the catch, I was sterilised 20 years ago and I'm 48 and thought my missed period was the beginning of menopause. (all others are very regular as I follow a moon schedule)
I am in total shock

Oh wow! I should imagine you are in complete utter shock! I agree to seeing the gp. Just to get it confirmed by them maybe as well? I am due to be sterilised after my section in jan 🙈 xx

Lou2120 · 06/10/2019 19:38

Wow hope your ok! Please keep us updated with how your doing. Must've been a massive shock

GeoffreyAndBungle · 06/10/2019 19:54

Goodness what a shock, try not to panic (easier said than done I bet) and see the GP as soon as possible.

Jesse70 · 06/10/2019 19:57

Wow
You obviously got sterilised for a reason so I hope this isn't bad news for you though
Good luck keep us all updated

Wendypan · 07/10/2019 11:12

Yes I got sterilised because I had completed my family. I was a young mum, now an empty nester with adult children. Just freaking out.

Huge shock, although initially I just went.. Aah it's probably the menopause I've got to start missing a period at some point right? My excessive hunger and everything tasting super yummy prompted me to stop and think for a moment.

Def get checked out ASAP. FlowersFlowers

This happened to my great grandmother! She had three grandchildren older than her youngest son, of whom my mother is one Shock Good luck OP! Get yourself to the doctor.

Wendypan · 07/10/2019 12:29

Yes I have an appointment with the doctor. Just wondering how to tell my husband.

SnowyLaMarr · 07/10/2019 12:32

Wow, OP. Have you had symptoms yet?

sheshootssheimplores · 07/10/2019 12:34

Bless you OP. Just take it one step at a time and don’t get too attached to the idea just in case it doesn’t work out. I wish you all the luck in the world xx

slipperywhensparticus · 07/10/2019 12:35

Oh boy maybe you got a faulty test?

HotChocolateLover · 07/10/2019 12:37

Hope it all works out for you x

PlasticPatty · 07/10/2019 12:42

Go and get checked out as quickly as you can. Hope it all goes as you wish.

Wendypan · 07/10/2019 13:23

The only symptoms were getting up in the night for a pee (something I never do) and bring constantly hungry and just everything tasting really good.

So sorry 🙏 I actually accidentally pressed the report button on someone instead of reply! Probably because I was crying and couldn't see the words or buttons properly.

LittlefairyMum · 07/10/2019 13:45

Good luck OP Thanks

redastherose · 07/10/2019 13:51

Oh wow, I'm the same age as you and would be shocked too. Fingers crossed everything is ok if you decide to proceed.

PixieDustt · 07/10/2019 23:19

LittlefairyMum · 08/10/2019 12:31

Thinking of you.

MyOtherProfile · 08/10/2019 12:32

Oh wow! How are you and how did your husband take it?

Wendypan · 08/10/2019 15:29

Hello, I haven't told him yet

Modestandatinybitsexy · 08/10/2019 17:47

How do you think he will take it? Do you think he'll feel the same way you do? How do you feel about it now you've had some time to think?
