Hey ladies!

I'm 5 weeks 3 days and the morning sickness has already kicked in! I feel sick all day & can manage tiny bits of food at a time.i don't fancy anything and just feel horrible!

I'm cramping on and off too which also isn't pleasant! Anyone else in their first trimester and feeling grim? X

@abbs1 That sounds awful - really hope things pick up for you soon.

@Emmaaa1990 my local pharmacy had the sea bands but you can get them on Amazon or apparently in Boots.

Emmaaa1990 · 09/09/2019 20:24

@Thumper13 ahh congratulations! It really does come and go I felt okay most of the evening and now I can feel it again 🙈

@ShirleyPhallus oh no week 13 and still feeling it? 😥god I feel for you! I'm hoping this stops in the second trimester, hopeful I know! But yes definitely feels like a hangover!

I have an early scan next Thursday when I will be 7 weeks as had a chemical just before this pregnancy so want to make sure everything's progressing as it should be. By the way I'm feeling it must be!

@mustardpumpkin Thankyou im going to check those out for sure!

@abbs1 oh bless you! It really is horrible. I felt like a pin cushion by the end of it. In one session, I was jabbed 12 times by various people trying to find veins and give me anti sickness. I was being sick 6 or 7 times a day and it was like torture. Cried so much over the last few weeks but I am so pleased that it seems to finally be settling down. Fingers crossed it ends soon for you too 🤞🏻

abbs1 · 09/09/2019 20:52

@Eventrider1 oh gosh, I so feel you're pain. I've had the same as my veins are awful due to such bad dehydration from all the vomiting. The medication has helped subside my sickness wihich I'm so glad about as some says I was vomiting over 20 times a day and my body just couldn't handle it. I nearly collapsed at the EPU and and A abd E I was just so weak. My hospital have been so amazing so I'm really lucky. I've cried a lot of tears too. I cant wait for my 12 week scan in a couple weeks. I've seen my baby 2 times on scans so far but I just like the reassurance as I had a miscarriage before this pregnancy. I'm glad you're feeling better as it's so awful being poorly.

Hey girlies

How are we all feeling?

I've noticed chicken really helps me haha for some reason it's the only thing I want to eat! I went and got a kfc chicken wrap and my god I feel so much better! Everything else was making me feel sick.

Anyone had any food cravings/aversions yet? I can't eat ketchup or cheese and onion crisps so far at the moment

OP posts:
flossy12 · 10/09/2019 16:46

No aversions as of yet 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Pastnowfuture · 10/09/2019 17:24

I am a tea chain drinker but haven't been near the teapot since Friday. I hear this is quite common.

Also can't face eating any meat but I'm not a huge meat eater anyway.

ShirleyPhallus · 10/09/2019 18:20

God I have LOADS of aversions; they’re mostly smells but are making me gag

I thought I was meant to feel better in second trimester! The smell thing is definitely worse!

mustardpumpkin · 10/09/2019 18:23

I cooked up a whole batch of bolognese and now can't face eating it at all! I am absolutely loving avocado and really sour drinks at the moment though.

Managed to get back to work today but still felt awful for most of it. Felt myself drifting off during a meeting as well which was worrying!

Contemplating taking a bath at the moment but not sure what the advice is on temperature. Anyone know?

Emmaaa1990 · 10/09/2019 18:42

@flossy12 ah that's good! It's horrible the food you love makes you not want it! 🙈

@Pastnowfuture Yeah I've heard of people going off tea! I don't really drink tea tho only if I'm hungover but this trimester is making me feel hungover I actually wanted a tea the other day!

@ShirleyPhallus Oh no! 🙈 it's horrible isn't it! I'm sure I will get more yet.

@mustardpumpkin oh that's such a shame I love bolognaise but I know what you mean! You really fancy something and then when your faced with it like naaa! I'm having chicken again tonight for dinner as it's the only thing I can stomach. Haha it's hard concentrating on anything when we have so much going on with our bodies.
I'm not sure on the temp of baths actually but I wouldn't mind knowing if anyone has any info?

mustardpumpkin · 10/09/2019 18:57

I had a look online and it said 37 degrees C, for not very long. It was a pretty rubbish bath if I'm honest so I'm already out - felt quite cold and it turns out lying in a bath is now really uncomfortable Hmm

flossy12 · 10/09/2019 20:32

@Emmaaa1990 I know 😅 but I'm ugh my decaf tea bags to work today but had to hide them in the cupboard 😂 hope no one gets suspicious when I say I'll make my own tea!

FearnRJ · 10/09/2019 20:38

I'm the same with coffee used to love the stuff and now can't stand the smell or taste of it haven't touched it for 3 weeks and only having a cup of tea now again cause don't fancy much of that either would rather drink fruit juice or water x

Emmaaa1990 · 24/09/2019 11:06

How are we all doing?

I'm almost at the 8 week mark now & the morning sickness has got worse! That's my main symptom, sore boobs but aren't really causing me any bother & I am tired.

I've ordered some sickness bands from eBay so hopefully they help! X

OP posts:
flossy12 · 24/09/2019 11:30

@Emmaaa1990 I'm 6+5 and have slight nausea but no vomiting yet 🤞🏻🤞🏻 hot heavy boobs though and tiredness is my main symptom, I have some twingy pains in my lower abdomen now and again hut trying not to worry because I know that can be normal, there not excruciating just very uncomfortable

Emmaaa1990 · 24/09/2019 13:27

@flossy12 I was having those pains around that time definitely normal! I had an early scan as I was worried and saw my baby last week all fine! I know us feeling like this is for a good reason just hope it eases off soon!

OP posts:
Gatgat92 · 24/09/2019 15:35

I have felt awful since week 5, I'm now in week 7 and from the minute I wake up to when I go to bed I feel sick. I have no appetite and struggle to eat, plus gone off all hot drinks! Very disappointing for someone who loved a cup of fresh coffee! I have to sleep in the afternoons as I feel so fatigued. All being said after 4 miscarriages I'm hoping these are all good signs for me 🤞

Emmaaa1990 · 24/09/2019 16:43

@Gatgat92 oh I feel ya! It's horrible isn't it! And being sick makes you feel better for like 10 minutes 🙈

Yeah definitely all these strong symptoms are amazing signs! Have you booked an early scan?

OP posts:
Gatgat92 · 24/09/2019 17:14

I haven't been sick, just a constant feeling of needing to be haha wish I could be sick just to relieve it 😩 even the hubbies aftershave makes me feel ill lol
The EPU have me booked in for scans every 2 weeks because of my history, so next one is Monday 🤞🤞

sphr57 · 24/09/2019 17:39

@Gatgat92 @Emmaaa1990 I'm 11 weeks and I'm starting to feel less nauseous (from about last week) and I'm finally able to actually eat more than cheese crackers... but I've felt dreadful since five weeks - just exhausted. As much as I've seen it as a positive sign to have symptoms I'm just exhausted now and feel I've run out of energy stores.

I'm so hoping it starts to stop in the second trimester. My boyfriend has been amazing and deserves me to be awake past 7 and less snappy and weepy!

Hope you all start to Feel better soon.

Gatgat92 · 24/09/2019 18:06

@sphr57 you're right it's exhausting, is this your first pregnancy? It's mine and I expected a bit of sickness and tiredness but not constant all day long. I haven't had a successful pregnancy yet so I will take whatever horrible symptoms come my way if it means having a happy healthy baby lol I've heard many people say it settles in the 2nd trimester so I hope it does for you 🤞 I'm just an anxious mess at the moment so taking every day as it comes.
I wish you all the best for the rest of your pregnancy 💕💕

flossy12 · 24/09/2019 18:33

@Emmaaa1990 that puts me more at ease! Only got just over 3 days to wait until our scan then I think I'll be able to relax 😅

Emmaaa1990 · 24/09/2019 19:23

@Gatgat92 oh god yeah being sick does help all be it briefly!

Haha how strange is that!? I'm finding my downstairs disgusting and every time I walk down there I've either thrown up or been close to it!

Oh that's good they are keeping an eye on you! Hope all goes well 🥰

@sphr57 oh it's awful isn't it! I know what you mean I've felt like it since 5 weeks and I'm 8 on Thursday not sure how long I can go on for feeling this way!

Yeah gotta say my partners been fantastic too I'm a useless twat right now 😂🙈

@flossy12 oh that's so exciting! It definitely helped me and weirdly that day I didn't even feel pregnant felt more normal than I have done then started again the next day! Think baby was trying to calm me down haha! Let us know how you get on! 💕

Eventrider1 · 24/09/2019 22:11

@Emmaaa1990 I’m the same. The downstairs of my house makes my throw up every morning. The only thing I can put it down to is that we are doing a lot of decorating downstairs so thinking it must be that.
