Just that really!! I am huge, have awful PGP and swollen feet and ankles, can’t turn over in bed or sleep at all.
Anyone else at this stage and fed up?

37+2 with dc5

Spd is awful. Heartburn is constant.

Signed off work at 24 weeks so i have been waiting a longggggg time!

AvengerDanvers95 · 17/08/2019 19:07

I am 41+ 5 years with DC1 ( Grin ) and I remember the feeling all too well. When I was at your stage I was the only one out of my NCT group not to have given birth. I went to a meet up and they were all cuddling their babies, I was huge, swollen and sore everywhere. I was fucking furious and.had to leave 😂 good luck to you. DC2 was born by planned section at 38+0... May your baby come soon and smoothly.

FrancesV83 · 17/08/2019 19:07

@IVEgottheDECAF Bless you, that sounds awful!
This is my second pregnancy, I was feeling smug at the beginning as I had no sickness or issues but since about week 26 I’ve felt awful.
I may beg to be induced next time I see the midwife Smile

37 weeks here, very ready for baby to come out as I'm home with a toddler 24/7 at the moment. Roll on Sept when she is back in nursery and I'm no longer pregnant!

FrancesV83 · 17/08/2019 19:11

@AvengerDanvers95 Thank you. I feel like I’m constantly seeing people with pushchairs and I’m so jealous.
The amount of times people have said ‘are you still pregnant?’ or ‘you can’t get much bigger’ I feel like hiding indoors! Grin

@pinkpinkblue That must be tough! My son is 9 and actually incredibly helpful picking up things that I’ve dropped for the hundredth time and even putting my shoes on for me!

pinkpinkblue i have a toddler (2) at home with me too so i feel your pain! Also dc aged 6, 10 and 11 home all summer! They can be helpful but bloody hell they dont half bicker.

SnuggyBuggy · 17/08/2019 19:29

Not proud to admit this but I was quite glad mine came at 38 weeks. I was really fed up of being pregnant

FrancesV83 · 17/08/2019 19:58

@SnuggyBuggy My other son was early (38+4) so I’m really hoping this one will be early too, I’m in agony today.

Just had a complete meltdown to my husband, poor man doesn’t know what to do or say to make it better. I don’t want to be miserable and ruin my last few weeks by being a grump but can’t cope anymore.
I am not ungrateful to be pregnant in any way, this was a planned pregnancy and we’re both really excited to meet him Smile

Same! 38 weeks today and if the baby popped out right now I wouldn’t mind one bit. I’ve had nausea and severe sickness all the way through and honestly the last 2 weeks feel like they have lasted a thousand years.

Horehound · 17/08/2019 21:04

I'm 38+3 and yes, very ready to have this baby.
I've actually had a relatively easy pregnancy but it's absolutely dragged!
Just having a nice bath with bubble bath, candles, and music whilst husband is out tonight. Quite relaxing actually :)

Huncamuncaa · 17/08/2019 22:20

Another one here! 37+5 Had enough! My ds is getting really annoyed when I nod off. 'Keep your eyes open, mummy!' I literally cant! Having a lot of Braxton hicks and keep convincing myself I'm in early labour but then they disappear!

IVEgottheDECAF · 17/08/2019 22:30

Fingers crossed one of us has a full nights sleep and wakes up in labour!

Jazzxx · 17/08/2019 22:38

I was like this with my youngest who is now 3 months old fortunately he came naturally 37 weeks just like my second youngest did and both times it was sex that made me go into labour ... it can bring on false labour too but if you do it every night like we did (or almost every night) then it's amazing at getting you into labour, but you gotta put a bit of effort in too and orgasming helps plus once your OH has finished trying out your hips up for a bit like your ttc again because the spark softens the cervix .... best of luck hun it won't be long now just get walking and bouncing on your ball too xx

Shahlalala · 17/08/2019 23:01

Me too. 40+1 and no signs of shifting. Sick of the bouncy ball! And the messages asking if he’s here.

MissPollyHadADolly19 · 17/08/2019 23:52

38+3 here too. Also suffering with PGP, some awful itching, carpal tunnel syndrome and I'm just done with it all!
Fed up of the "any news?" messages from family/friends.
DD6 is back from her holiday with Gparents tomorrow so will have to provide some sort of entertainment that doesn't involve a screen/TV for the remainder of the holidays and all I want to do is sleep!!

Snowflake9 · 18/08/2019 00:01

38+5 . Swollen. Heartburn. Can't bend over.

Have been having period type cramps and back ache since last night. With the odd contractions. Nothing else yet though.

Lots of false starts. Want my baby now please.

MrsD28 · 18/08/2019 13:16

38+4 today and feeling torn - part of me wants the baby to arrive so that I can stop feeling so bloody uncomfortable, but another part wants to have a least a few days of maternity leave at home alone (I only finished work on Friday, and have a 3 year old so the weekend hasn't exactly been "restful" so far!).

FrancesV83 · 18/08/2019 13:38

My back is absolutely killing me today when walking around, is this a labour sign or just the extra weight!! Been a long time since I was pregnant (son is 9) and I was induced then so I’m not sure what to expect Confused

FrancesV83 · 18/08/2019 13:41

Does anyone have any experience of pre eclampsia?

OP posts:
SnuggyBuggy · 18/08/2019 14:04

Yes, runs in my family

IVEgottheDECAF · 18/08/2019 14:10

My back is awful today too frances having to keep topped up on painkillers

FrancesV83 · 18/08/2019 14:14

@IVEgottheDECAF Me too, I hate taking painkillers as I feel bad for baby (even though the midwife says it’s ok) but I’m having to take them especially at night or I wouldn’t sleep at all.

OP posts:
FrancesV83 · 18/08/2019 14:18

@SnuggyBuggy I have quite bad swelling of my feet and ankles and slight swelling of my face but normal urine and blood pressure results. Were there any other side effects to look out for?

OP posts:
FrancesV83 · 18/08/2019 14:26

@Jazzxx I’m sure my hubby would be up for the sex idea as it’s not been very often during this pregnancy the poor man!
I’m just not up to it, it usually feels ok at the time and then I’m completely ruined and unable to walk the next day (due to the PGP) Grin
