Just that really!! I am huge, have awful PGP and swollen feet and ankles, can’t turn over in bed or sleep at all.
Anyone else at this stage and fed up?

@afternoontwee Oh no, that sounds awful. I was lucky to not get sickness this time round but I have been plagued with thrush, UTIs, PGP and I have group b strep so lots of antibiotics for me when I go into labour.

@MissPollyHadADolly19 I forgot about the awful itching, I feel like I’m going to make my arms bleed!
Not long to go now!

Yeah completely with you I've had horrendous SPD with all four of my boys each of them it was worse, I also had sciatica with my youngest which is just evil 😣 it's not easy but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to get them out even if it's just missionary or spooning xx

SnuggyBuggy · 18/08/2019 16:59

I was the opposite, didn't swell at all but my blood pressure went high. Didn't kick in until about 35 weeks, my DM it was more like 28 but then they let her go overdue so it can't have been too severe, or maybe they weren't so fussed in the 80s.

I'm 36+2 and I'm already feeling like this, even though I know it's still a bit too soon. When I shift in the night I often trap a nerve and have a shooting, burning pain in my thigh. I wake up constantly. Feel like I'm carrying a kettle ball between my legs now the baby has dropped.

38 isn't a bad time to deliver at all, so hope you get relief soon!

Yes! 38 weeks today and just diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis. Itching driving me MAD, especially at night. Haven't slept properly in 3 months. Waiting to be induced, but would prefer to give birth naturally. Oh well...

Good luck guys, we're nearly there!

Would like to go sleep until baby is ready to make his appearance ....

TMI ALERT ***

had a super emotional day today. I had a little trim of the old party shack but obviously had to use a mirror and my god. I have HUGE purple stretch marks running from my bottom down my thighs. Had a bit of a cry about that one, did what I needed to do. Looked at the Trainwreck that is now my under carriage (have hemmaroids too due to the pressure) so there I am. Sat in the shower sobbing.

I get out, dry myself off and notice on my actual bum cheek I have deep purple stretch marks too.

I have creamed and oiled every day since week 8. Livid.

We did a practice run to the hospital and it took 40 minutes which is stressing me out and I am convinced I have been in the latent phase of labour since Friday night.

Eughhhhhhhh.

@Snowflake9 Aww bless you, I’ve had a couple of those days where I’ve just sobbed at my husband.

Went to maternity daycare this morning as the swelling in my feet, ankles and face was getting worse but all is good (thank goodness). It’s rather depressing to hear that induction would be booked in at 40+12 (another 24 days away) considering I can barely walk. I think I’m going to start doing everything on the bringing on labour list Grin

frances that is shit indeed

I am going to ask my mw later when they will be willing to do a sweep

Had one at 39+5 with dc4 and he was born less than 24 hours later

Although DP certain i wont get that far this time

Snowflake9 · 19/08/2019 11:31

I am well and truly fed up. My contractions stopped again. I can't sleep at night.

Jokingly mentioned sex to DH last night, he said no. (It freaks him out) so I am going to go for a walk this afternoon and try and get this baby progressing.

I do feel as though baby has dropped massively!

24, days away? Thats a super long time, what tricks are you going to try?

Might be an unpopular opinion but to balance out the views, as this thread came up via my email newsletters... I'm 38 weeks and although I am finding sleep interrupted and hips ache during the night, I'm embracing the last 2-4 weeks of independence and being able to pamper myself, do loads of hypnobirthing practice and yoga and have lovely lie ins. I only finished work 10 days ago and am loving this time. It's really important that we remain in a positive mindframe now, recieving an email from mumsnets taking me to a thread that focuses on the negative stuff isn't great especially given what else everyone's going through right now.
