DH and I are considering the following names for DD who is due in 9 weeks. However, we can not agree on which one. The middle name will be Jayne.

Amber
Grace
Isabel
Ruby

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome.

Thanks

Jay

Isabel , but I think Ruby is nice as is my dd's middle name.

Are you kidding about the middle name?

JayJ · 03/08/2007 22:07

Hiya Newlifenewname, yes that was just a joke originally posted by Peachy.

The middle name we are using is Jayne.

Thanks everyone for all your helpful comments.

All 4 are very popular at the moment.

if Jayne is middle name then you can't have grace as first name as two 1 syllable names don't work togethre ... although grace is my favourite

so I'd have to say Isobel

sep1712 · 04/08/2007 19:45

ruby is lovely

ScoobyDooooo · 04/08/2007 19:51

What about Gracie Jayne?

janeitebus · 04/08/2007 19:52

Isabel and Grace are my faves. Grace doesn't go with Jayne very well though. Don't like Amber and neither like nor dislike Ruby.

Definitely not Amber but all the rest are lovely.

Love the sound of Isabel/Isobel Jayne. But what about possible contractions - Izzie or Isa? Same with Ruby - will people shorten it to Rube? Actually, all your short-list are beautiful, but I don't suppose that helps much .
