Oh yes! I'm 32 weeks and am melting 😓

Megan2018 · 28/06/2019 16:13

Only 29+1 here and finding it fine so far. But I don't feel too huge yet and our office isn't warm.

It the good weather continues I will probably feel differently in another month!

BelulahBlanca · 28/06/2019 16:16

Totally feel for you all. I was pregnant last summer and all I could do was sleep!

happymummy12345 · 28/06/2019 16:17

Not currently for me, but I remember the summer of 2015, I was due end of August and it was so hot for what seemed like ever. So I feel for everyone currently in that position, it's not nice at all

Moggymorn · 28/06/2019 16:17

Just can't cool down. Every window open but the air is hot and it's just not cooling down. Keep jumping in and out of the shower on the coldest setting but instantly melting again. Waiting for DH to finish work and take me to buy a fan Sad

I was sweating in winter lmao, I do feel for you. Fan and lots of ice lollies will hopefully help, I also got a pillow you put in the fridge, it sounds ridiculous but it was amazing at night.

MrsNai · 28/06/2019 16:18

38 weeks- hands like chunky sausages, breathless and waddling with a limp owing to back pain.

I want it to rain!!!

PeterRabbitt · 28/06/2019 16:19

You need a paddling pool. Saved my husband's life when we had a glorious summer and I went nearly 2 weeks overdue with my August baby. I've never loved him more than when he presented it to me all full up with a cold drink next to it... Previous to that I was considering divorce because I hated every single person who wasn't pregnant that summer 😠

Sandybval · 28/06/2019 16:19

Also if you have a bowl you can put your feet in and fill with cold water, not sure of the science but it's excellent at cooling you down in my experience.

IVEgottheDECAF · 28/06/2019 16:21

30+1 and living on ice pops!

Undies1990 · 28/06/2019 16:30

Having lived abroad, the thing you don't want to do is have all the doors and windows open - you are simply inviting the hot air inside! Tomorrow morning, keep the doors and windows shut. Also keep curtains facing the sun closed - that will stop the temperature inside rising. I know it sounds strange but try it Smile

aliensprig · 28/06/2019 16:32

This is precisely why I'm glad I'm having a December baby Grin

PostNotInHaste · 28/06/2019 16:36

Do what Undies says and definitely get a paddling pool -was the only thing that helped when I was 8 months pregnant August 2003 which was extremely hot. Huge sympathies.

Celebelly · 28/06/2019 16:36

I had a winter baby but it meant I was in first trimester during last year's heatwave. I felt like shit anyway but I basically had to spend two weeks lying in bed in pants with fan on me and feeling like I was going to hurl constantly. It was grim. Feel for all you ladies!

ooonicorn · 28/06/2019 16:40

34 weeks with my second and I can't cope. First is running me ragged and I'm too big to deal with this!

ememem84 · 28/06/2019 16:50

35 weeks here.

Air con in work is glorious. It’s 32 degrees outside. Oooof.

Willing baby to arrive early....or for someone to buy me a calippo.

I’ve had so much icy cold water today its insane.

FairyDust92 · 28/06/2019 17:10

37+2 feeling okay at the moment! Could change though! 🤣

secretlyhermione · 28/06/2019 17:16

I'm only 24 weeks but I live in a Mediterrean country where it's peaking at 40 degrees. It's hell. Feels like a furnace outside.

Kanga83 · 28/06/2019 17:22

I feel for you all! I remember being heavily pregnant in the heat of summer . I had two hot water bottles filled with ice cubes- one for my back and one for my legs! I slept on a sheet that I'd sprayed with icy cold water first too and keep some cold water by a fan as it will cool the air and add moisture

Kanga83 · 28/06/2019 17:23

Also- freeze two bottles of water and use them under your feet to roll your feet over (put socks over the bottles as that can be really cold on the skin otherwise).

BobTheFishermansWife · 28/06/2019 17:27

In 37 weeks here and I'm better today than I was Monday.
Monday was a humid hell! I had windows and back doors open and sat on the sofa in my underwear with my feet in cold water.
Today is more dry heat so I'm not feeling as sweaty and am OK in shorts and a vest top.
Hope you all get some relief!

roobine · 28/06/2019 17:40

37 weeks and so fed up! It's the lethargy that's driving me insane - I feel like my blood pressure is through my boots and can't find the energy to move. Normally love the heat!!
Stay strong everyone 😂

wineandcatsandlego · 28/06/2019 17:43

38+3 here! I have a freezer full of ice pops, fan in bedroom for nighttime, and wonderful DH bought me a flake mcflurry earlier when I was about to melt in the heat

thenewaveragebear1983 · 28/06/2019 18:03

I was pregnant in the 36* scorcher of 2015 and worked in a prison (so no opening windows, no light sleeveless clothing) sat in a box room with computers. I thought I was dying.
I thought my waters had broken but it was actually sweat trickling down my legs,

You all have my sympathy. The paddling pool is your friend.

Londongirl03 · 28/06/2019 18:14

36+6 and suffering immensely! Not looking forward to tomorrow don’t think I will leave the house all day!!!!
