Anyone worried their private gender scan is wrong?

We had a private gender scan at 16 weeks and the sonographer told us Baby is a girl. My only worry is I know 3 people who then went to their 20 week scan (none at the same scan place as me) to be told the gender they were originally told was wrong.

Reassurance please?! (Picture Attached)

Hi Everyone, hope you don’t mind me jumping on this thread..
I feel exactly the same, I was told I was having a girl at my gender scan but I couldn’t really see what she was talking about and she kinda just brushed past it - I’ve attached a photo!
I’ve got my 20 week scan a week today so I’ll let you all know how it goes!
I don’t mind which gender at all but I felt even more confused after having the early scan, kinda wish I didn’t have it now and just waited haha xxx

Could anyone reassure me that it’s defiantly a boy as the picture clearly looks like boy but I can’t see baby’s legs there at all. I’ve only had girl guesses and even nub theory said girl so I’m shocked even tho I’m happy either way I’m just not convinced
Thanks

Had my early gender scan yesterday and not 100% on results.can anyone help please and thank you.

I havent had a private scan, just the standard 20 week NHS one where we were told the sex and I feel worried that its incorrect. I know its highly unlikely to be wrong, but the sonographer looked so quickly and announced that she couldnt see any bits dangling that I was a bit in shock!
We dont have a preference, either would be perfect, but Im a natural worrier and now I just have a fear a boy will pop out in the end and I will have bought only girl bits!
But this is their job at the end if the day, how many baby scans do they do each day where they have to determine the sex?

(Obviously i know its not fool proof and mistakes can be made).
OP, your scan definately looks girly to my very untrained eyes! Congratulations!

Had my scan done yesterday via NHS and was told boy ... I'm still worried it could just be very swollen girl bits Grin what do we think? I'm delighted either way but a bit hesitant to start buying things after hearing so many stories of sex guesses being wrong!

Can someone help me on heya I had a test blood test doin sneek peek at 8 weeks and results came back as a boy I was so happy as we where after a boy and today went to my 16 weeks scan and said a girl a really don’t no where the wrong cud be

Monday55 · 07/11/2021 00:50

A blood test would be more conclusive unless if they interpreted it wrong. Was the scan with the same clinic who did your blood test? Did you mention about the blood test when they said it was a girl ?

It's not something that's really worth worrying over. It's 4 weeks and then just different genitals. But then I spent 5weeks having been told I was having a singleton to be told it was twins

chayago · 07/11/2021 00:59

Do you have another scan from 12 weeks where baby is showing his profile?

BabyOnBoard90 · 07/12/2021 00:26

We were told at 16weeks that baby looked like a girl.

Wondering how accurate this call could be? Keeping in mind 8 days was added to gestational age.

Most important thing is baby is healthy ofc

HJB97 · 12/12/2021 02:39

I had my gender scan last week, I can’t believe it’s a boy everything was pointing towards girl! I’m genuinely so shocked! There’s no mistaking this right??? X

Has anyone had a gender scan at 16 weeks then been told at the 20 weeks it's a different gender?
16 week scan the sonographer was sure we were having a girl and even gave potty shots which look girly! Been told yesterday we were having a boy, we were so shocked and now don't know which to believe! I'll include the 'girl' potty shot as don't have one from yesterday

Hey!
I think if you call the place you had a private scan at they offer you a free one to confirm the gender again, I would deffo recommend that x

esgill · 12/05/2023 09:46

I was told at 16 +4 I was having a girl. 20-week scan confirmed it. Congratulations OP!

DanN92 · 12/05/2023 12:42

Hi yes I contacted them and they said they will rescan, so we should have an answer but I'm now convinced it's a boy haha!

Alexandrababy1 · 12/05/2023 23:51

Aw okay! let us know. I had an early scan at 15 weeks, we had a gender reveal and they've said girl but when I looked at the shot after I was unsure. We've got our 20 week scan on sunday, can't wait to confirm!x

Could gender scan at 16 weeks be wrong? Was told a girl and have potty shot, but I am not convinced that it is correct.

I think usually they get it right, mine was wrong and I'm now 32+ 2 with a definite boy 😂😂 x

toulousekay · 06/08/2023 18:25

I’ve recently had a gender scan at 15W5D pregnant, I heard so many stories of girl predictions being wrong and I’m not really convinced by my scan. They’ve predicted girl has anyone had this concern with WTTW scans before? I have a little boy so I’m happy with either but I just would like to know
