Anyone worried their private gender scan is wrong?

We had a private gender scan at 16 weeks and the sonographer told us Baby is a girl. My only worry is I know 3 people who then went to their 20 week scan (none at the same scan place as me) to be told the gender they were originally told was wrong.

Reassurance please?! (Picture Attached)

@Kitty24 just wait a few more weeks for your scaN for a professional to tell you whether you’re having a boy or a girl!?!

@Luckyme30 thanks hun x so the 20 week NHS is more conclusive than the private scan?

@Kitty24 it’s just more conclusive the further on in pregnancy you are. Never really 100% x

I remember being worried they had got it wrong when they told me girl as i was convinced I was carrying a boy but 27 weeks now and NHS scan confirmed girl too 😃

@BeMorePacific this is what I mean, the sonographer said "it's a definitely a girl". I thought they weren't allowed to say that

When you say you can't see it in the scan photo do you mean you're not sure what you're looking for?
This is our little girl (hopefully!) at 16 weeks haha and our 20 week scan also 'confirmed' a girl

@Something20 thanks for sharing. What I'm saying is that the scan pictures we have been given only show the head & upper body but no "potty shot" which makes it very difficult to compare or understand x

@kitty24 ahhh I see!! 😊 I wouldn't worry too much, the sonographers at private clinics are still professionals so they know what they're doing and I think getting it wrong is quite rare just not unheard of. I'm sure your 20 week scan will confirm the same ☺️❤️

Hi hope you don’t mind me jumping on the post. Could anyone have a look at my scan and tell me if you think it’s a boy or girl I was told it was a girl at 14+2 at a private scan but I’m worried it was to early to tell I’ve got 3 weeks to wait for my 20 weeks scan tia

Definitely a girl, compare it to our boy scan and the difference is quite clear to see I think congratulations!

We were told ‘almost sure it’s a girl’ at 20 week scan. So don’t think even then they can be 100%.

UPDATE: thanks so much to everyone for replying to me... I had my 20 week scan on Friday with NHS who confirm baby Girl 💝 super excited & cannot wait to welcome her into the world 🥰🥰🥰

I have the same concern with my scan as people are telling me it looks more like boy parts than girl x

Sono said couldn’t confirm so back for rescan but I think potty shot looks like a girl

I was told at my 20 week scan that it was a girl. Also at my 28 week growth scan, also confirmed a girl. At my 36 week growth scan, turns out its a boy.
I now have a 7 year old boy 😂

My baby wasn't co operating and this is the best shot they could get. What does everyone think?

Did they give any explanation why they thought it was a girl or had they just not got clear shots until 36weeks?

hey dont want to be nosey but do you have the photos of the ultrasound where they said you where having a boy? I went for my gender scan and they wasnt sure it took them agaes and then they said boy but the photos weren’t that clear its driving me crazy

Kiimanh could you post your scan? I think normally when they say ‘boy’ it’s more likely to be right. How many weeks are you?
