Perfect Prep vs Perfect Prep Day & Night

Hi All

Just looking for some advice for the Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep machine vs the Day & Night Prep machine.

What would you go for?!

Also..... the day & Night seems to ask for the formula first before the hot shot. I thought the water had to go in first before the formula?!xx

Just fill a flask with hot water, and another empty bottle boiled water

At night and in the day out and about its easy to transport. Pour 3oz hot water, add 6 scoops powder. then add 3 oz cold boiled water.

miltonroad · 03/01/2019 16:16

I agree it’s just as quick and much cheaper to make them yourself

myotherbagisgucci · 03/01/2019 16:22

I have the bog standard TT Perfect prep machine and I couldn't fault it. I got it in 2017 for DD1 and I'll be using it again this year for DD2!

As long as you regularly clean it and use TT filters, replacing every 3 months, they are a bloody godsend in my opinion.

Perfect Prep vs Perfect Prep Day & Night

As far as I am aware it is the same apart from you can turn the volume down on the day and night one

I’ve got the old one, not a a problem with it at all 😊

PennyMordauntsLadyBrain · 03/01/2019 16:27

We have the older version and as far as I can tell the only real difference is the bleeping noise can be turned off on the day and night model.

Not worth the ~£40 price difference imo- seems a bit of a gimmick.

Lynne425 · 03/01/2019 18:07

Thank you..... a lot of friends have recommended it so was looking to buy one as due date is only 5 weeks away now!!

Think I might just go for the standard one and save the pennies 💷💷!!xx

I have the standard one too, can’t fault it!

welshweasel · 03/01/2019 18:10

We had the normal one first time round. The beep is really annoying at night although apparently if you look on YouTube there’s a video that shows you how to disconnect the wire to the speaker. We sold it on and have just ordered the day and night for £60 from baby swan, will let you know when it arrives!

Lynne425 · 04/01/2019 11:58

£60 is an amazing price for it @welshweasel

Cheapest I can find it for is £109 xx

OP posts:
welshweasel · 04/01/2019 12:32

To be fair it’s from a probably dodgy Facebook link and is yet to arrive so we’ll see! I’ve bought it on credit card so no drama if it doesn’t.

Carolcool · 04/01/2019 12:33

I had a perfect prep and loved t at first but quickly realised you just need a kettle and a bottle of cooled boiled water in the fridge to do the exact same thing yourself.

Curlypop · 04/01/2019 13:30

I had the original for baby one in 2013 and it's amazing. I bought the new one in Black Friday sale with 3 filters for £90. Filters are £10 each alone so was a good deal. Not used it yet but I remember the beeping being so loud last time!

Sun19 · 11/01/2019 21:36

We ordered one from baby swan too for £60. Had an email yesterday to say it has been dispatched. I think you can still get the offer at the moment too if anyone was interested 😊

welshweasel · 12/01/2019 09:07

Mines arrived! So it took 10 days to come but for £60 you can’t really complain!

Lynne425 · 12/01/2019 09:09

Perfect thanks - @welshweasel I might go order one!! Can't say no for £60 x

Lovewinemorethanhusband · 12/01/2019 09:21

I was following this to see if they actually turned up from baby swan as wants stop order but was weary about it, will go and have a look again now

bama4 · 13/01/2019 11:26

@welshweasel so pleased to hear you got yours as have ordered from them too and then worried it was a scam! Thank you!

snowone · 13/01/2019 11:33

We had the standard on for DD1 and have bought another standard one for DD2 due in 7 weeks. We took it everywhere with us - even upstairs when we went to bed!! Grin good luck

GilmoresForever · 13/01/2019 11:40

OP I just bought one to help my dad when I go back to work as he will be looking after DD. Makes life so much easier than boiling a kettle. I got an original one on eBay 2nd hand for £30. Gave it a good clean and it’s like new. Might be worth a look?

Springmummy19 · 13/01/2019 14:14

my sister has the Tomme Tippe one and it's amazing. its so easy eve hubby can use it. I'm just going to take hers. making it your self is cheaper but I love the fact that there is no need to wait for it too cool done. specially at night time it's perfect.

SuperstarDJ · 13/01/2019 15:48

I have the standard one - used it for DD1 and am now using it again for DD2. Love it and can’t fault it. Have never heard of the day and night one and have no idea what the difference is but can’t imagine why you would need to do things differently during the daytime vs night

Blackboot · 13/01/2019 15:54

I was unaware of the newer model but I'm definitely going to have a look. I'm expecting with no. 2 and last time was a hassle boiling kettles, waiting 30 mins, forgetting and having to boil kettle again. I remember being dog tired and wanting to go to bed but having to wait 30 mins for sodding water to cool down. I'll definitely be getting one.

firsttimedad79 · 13/01/2019 15:57

Could recommend the perfect prep enough.

I couldn't feel the temp differences on my wrist so we got one so I could do the night feeds without waking my partner up!

Blackboot · 13/01/2019 15:59

Q: Which perfect prep is better?
A: Just use a kettle.

Typical MN Hmm

ApplestheHare · 13/01/2019 20:39

Does anyone have a link to the Baby Swan offer on the day and night version?Smile
