For me, when I say
'I feel huge'
and the reply with
'oh but you don't look pregnant from behind'

Like seriously??? Why would I look pregnant from behind 🙈 it's not as if the baby is growing out of my ass or spine 😂

Grin I’ve had “you can’t tell from the front” too ha ha!!! You definitely can and I’m fine with it thanks! Also my least favourite is when I walk into the room to be met with “ooh look how big you are now!” Shock

Cosmoa · 29/07/2018 20:23

My sister would always say "I can't believe you're having a baby!" She was really excited about it and has a kid herself but it was kinda like.. What's that supposed to mean? Get used to it!

She would also go "ooooh!!!" at my belly ALL THE TIME! I had to tell her to stop, it was driving me crazy!

WhirlingTurkey · 29/07/2018 20:23

Refusing to believe how far along you are because of your bump size (either too big or too small). My DM is refusing to believe that I'm "only" 14 weeks, because my bump is "too big".

Scientific eh?

MinisterforCheekyFuckery · 29/07/2018 20:35

"are you sure it's not twins??"
Ha-fucking-ha Hmm

PerfectlyPosed · 29/07/2018 20:41

"How are you managing in this heat? It must be unbearable!"

"Are you sure there's only one in there?"

MrsCrumbtious · 29/07/2018 20:47

I’m due in December and the usual response is “oh you didn’t plan that well!”
We’ve been ttc for 3 1/2 years, were a day from starting IVF so our baby is coming any time she bloody wants!!!

moreismore · 29/07/2018 20:49

‘Are you sure it’s not twins’
‘Oh wow you still have a while to go’
‘I just don’t see how you can get any bigger’
‘You had such a neat bump last time’

All from people I see way too often to just thump, sadly!

Justfred · 29/07/2018 20:53

Is it all baby?

No I'm also fucking fat and swollen. Fuck off.

Even my dad said 'god how can you get bigger'. My lovely stepmum is a midwife and told him to shut up for me Grin

R7589 · 29/07/2018 22:02

I've had all of the above!
@MrsCrumbtious I'm due in December aswell and MIL said (although jokingly) that we were being selfish as December is an already expensive month as several family members have birthdays at that time too!

A colleague at work also said to me that I had an excuse to moan as I was fatter than him now 😡 luckily I can laugh these things off!

Hjkillas · 29/07/2018 22:35

'you not dropped yet?' well I mean no obviously not.
'oh a week left? That's still ages'
'theres no way you're only having one's
'looking at you, you wont have it yet'
'your waters gone yet?'
Internally I'm just like FUCK OFFFFF

3boysandabump · 29/07/2018 22:43

You definitely can look pregnant from Behind op. I swear my arse is bigger than my bump this time.

One that winds me up is 'are you sure there's only 1'

leanne9312 · 30/07/2018 06:53

@3boysandabump !
Hahaha I get that too gone from being a size 6 with a really round bum to putting on 2 stone and an elephant backside hahah I suppose some people pay for a booth like that pmsl!!
And I'm only 20 weeks I'm going to soo fat when I'm done, never mind 😶

lmx0 · 30/07/2018 07:02

Any sign/news yet?! Or people texting you EVERY damn day just to be nosey (eps ones that u never hear from!!)

IncyWincyMouseRat · 30/07/2018 09:12

‘It’s a boy’ - Yes I know he is, it was bloody obvious on the scans, but the idea that my bump shape could tell you that is madness!

‘Have you tried ginger?’ - When I was lying horizontal, vomiting for weeks on end. I think we were a bit past ginger biscuits funnily enough!

PirateWeasel · 30/07/2018 09:21

Has anyone had people actually try and touch their bump? Not just family, but random strangers? I've honestly not had this once, not even my own mother, and would be utterly freaked out if anyone touched it apart from DH, but a friend of mine gets it all the time and can't keep them away. Is wanting to touch it actually a thing, then?? Maybe I just have the sort of face that says "keep away from me!" Lol.

omgimhavingababy · 30/07/2018 09:25

I'm only 13 weeks and have a tiny bump (really I just look fat)...but friends of mine keep pestering me for picture of my bump! I keep avoiding it as don't want to put pictures of my belly out there?!

Fluffybat · 30/07/2018 09:43

My mum just laughed at me. Walked into the garden yesterday and she laughed and laughed and said my bump comes through first. I'm only 6 months but second bubba so bump is huge but everyone keeps telling how big it is and what a big boy he must be.

Aw12345 · 30/07/2018 09:51

I'm due to have baby induced or a c section on Saturday... People always say "your bump is far too high, your baby will never come by itself".

YES I KNOW I AM VERY UNLIKELY TO GO INTO LABOUR NATURALLY AND WILL END WITH A HORRIBLE BIRTH. Thank you for reminding me.

Morred · 30/07/2018 10:27

"Are you still at work?" - particularly after I've just said I'm 28 weeks/6months/whatever.

Bibijayne · 30/07/2018 14:50

Are you going for a natural birth? - Where whatever answer you give is 'wrong'.

Pregnancy isn't a disability/ illness - no but severe obstetric cholestasis is and that's why I'm in the hospital virtually every day. Even if I weren't, third trimester is hard! So go away.

Are you sure there's only one in there? Yes, yes I am. Go away.

SiolGhoraidh · 30/07/2018 16:51

At work last week, repeatedly: "You'll never make your due date, I reckon you'll have him by the end of the month"
I'm 33 weeks, stop wishing a fucking preemie on me!

"You think it's hard now, you'll realise how easy you had it once he's here"
I'm currently using a wheelchair due to SPD, but apparently that's an easy life as I'm sat down all day

Lynsey19 · 30/07/2018 18:10

‘You look good with some extra weight around your face’

At 15 weeks. Really?? Hmm

dorothybythesea · 30/07/2018 19:56

Someone told me my baby would be a "tricky devil" and I'd better watch out (because of her star sign) ShockAngry

Paradiddle · 30/07/2018 20:29

I was asked once ''How did that happen?" Grin
Like seriously, do you want to know the details and the position?

PerfectlyPosed · 30/07/2018 20:35

I lost count of the amount of people asked if this pregnancy was planned. How is it anyone else's business?!
