Hi ladies. So I started testing on Wednesday and had nice lines show up on frer tests wed Thurs and Fri. This morning I decided to brave the digital and was shocked to see 2 - 3 weeks pop up as I thought I had ovulated late this cycle. I am over the moon but still pretty nervous after an early miscarriage in May. Feeling much more positive this time around but husband doesn't want to tell anyone for a while so I am feeling a little isolated in it. Wondered if anyone else is early on and wants to share the journey /support each other. Xx

@lg88
Sorry to hear about your miscarriage but pleased that you’re pregnant again.

I got a surprise positive this morning - all being well, this will be out first baby.

Feels a little surreal to be honest! More than happy to be a buddy for you.

LG88 · 21/07/2018 11:41

Hi @Glera, huge congratulations on your BFP! How long have you been TTC?
It certainly does feel surreal! I can't get my head around it and keep having little moments of thinking oh my gosh, I'm pregnant!! Will you tell anyone or are you waiting for your first scan? Xx

@lg88 we have been ttc for eight months now but really didn’t try this month. It’s what everyone always says though isn’t it.

We have told our parents but that’s it for now. We weren’t planning to but then it just felt right. I’ll gIve the doctors a call on Monday and see what I have to do next. Have you arranged any appointments or anything? Are you telling anyone?

I feel awful because I really thought AF was on her way so went out last night and drank - a lot. Genuinely didn’t think I would be pregnant this month! Do you think it’ll be okay?

LG88 · 21/07/2018 16:23

@Glera I'm totally sure you will be absolutely fine. One of my friends is pregnant and didn't know for a couple of months as she was still having 'periods' she went out while she would have been early on and got pretty smashed, she has had 12 and 20 week scans and all seems totally fine. I also had another friend who got pregnant whilst on the pill and so had no idea, she got drunk a few times and fell down some stairs and baby was still fine! I'm a big believer in things are either going to be OK or not, not much we can do so let yourself off! Babies are very resilient when it is the right time. 😊
No we haven't told anyone this time, we did tell parents last time but decided to wait a bit this time.
I also plan to call my GP on Monday to get things rolling. I have booked an early scan at just over 7 weeks to try to set mind at ease so will probably tell parents after that if all is OK. 🤞I'm feeling proper yucky this afternoon. 🤢 I thought I was doing really well getting away without any symptoms really. Xx

Hi. We just found out on Friday we are pregnant after our 2nd round of ivf. Now just to get through these next few weeks. Have scan on 10th August with our clinic. When should you register with a midwife???

Clem90 · 22/07/2018 20:39

Congratulations guys! Would also like to join, BFP Friday and Clearblue 1-2 weeks on Sat. We are very lucky and haven’t been trying for long but feels a little too good to be true. I’m not sure if we’ll have a early scan, I think I’ll see how symptoms are going.
@gavinmaxine1 I think you just phone GP reception and they possible refer you to midwife but I’m not sure. It’s a public holiday tomorrow so I’ll phone Tues.
Will you guys try to keep it from work for as long as possible? I work in a hospital so might have to tell earlier but hoping not to.
Glad to have people to speak to through this! Will we all be due start of April? X

LG88 · 22/07/2018 20:58

Huge congratulations @Gavinmaxine1 and @Clem90, welcome and thanks for joining on this mad crazy exciting terrifying journey!! How lovely to have others in the same boat to share it all with. I actually got a 2-3 on the clearblue on Saturday which was such a lovely shock and have worked out I should be due 28th march. Likely be pushed on to April at scans though. Yer, if you just ring your GP you can either see your doctor who will get everything arranged for you or reception may just let the midwife know to contact you. You can let them know any time now. I plan to ring tomorrow I think. How are you both feeling? Any symptoms yet? Xx

@LG88 @Clem90 so exciting!!! I'm approx 4 weeks now but the embryo is only 2 weeks old. My breasts are tender and big blue veins 😐 plus bloated but with ivf you do be bloated with all the drugs xx

Gavinmaxine1 · 22/07/2018 21:03

@Clem90 forgot to say, my work know as obv I had time off for procedures plus i manage a busy coffee shop so there are some duties I'm not allowed to do

Clem90 · 22/07/2018 21:11

Ahh exciting @LG88 , we’re you tracking ovulation? We were just dtd every couple of days and used preseed so Im just going by dates from my last period just now.
Ah @gavinemaxine1 that makes sense, lovely that they are supportive!
I feel okay so far have felt sick on and off but think that’s due to shock haha, I was always quite sick when on the pill so will just need to see but otherwise feel normal.
How have you been feeling @LG88? Did you just google early scans in your area and book direct? There only seems to be one company where I am, it’s £90, is that about normal? X

LG88 · 22/07/2018 21:27

@Clem90 yes, I just booked online. I had a very early miscarriage in May so wanted to book one to put my mind at ease. The one I have booked is around £80 I think so yer.
We were going to try to keep it a secret until that scan at least but I felt too unwell to sit in the sun today so had to tell husbands family so they didn't think I was just being weird. 😂
Yes I did track ovulation but not sure it was right weirdly because I got such strong positive tests I think it would have been to early if I ovulated when test showed. Who knows!! I won't be telling work until I have my 12 week scan but am very lucky because I work in a school so am about to break for summer for just under 6 weeks. By the time I get back it will only be about 2 weeks until my scan. I keep feeling slightly queasy and can't be out in the heat. Makes me too lightheaded. I'm also starving most of the time. Xx

Clem90 · 22/07/2018 21:45

@LG88 aw sorry that that happened to you, completely understand why you would have an early scan, I think the earlier our minds can be put at ease why not?
The weather has been so good but yes not good with pregnancy, I have a friend who’s due today and she is really struggling.
Awww that’s amazing you’re about to come off for holidays! Do you have any trips booked?
Oh hungry is a good symptom haha can enjoy lots of food!
Have you guys downloaded any of the apps to track what’s happening? Its so interesting! X

Glera · 04/08/2018 19:22

@lg88
We sound exactly the same. I’m a teacher too and so grateful it’s the holidays so I am away from most people for now. Did you have your early scan? How did it go? We considered doing that but we’re moving house this month and all spare funds are needed for that.

I also got a 2-3 on a clear blue test on that Saturday, I’m just over 6 weeks now and have my booking appt with the midwife at the end of August, the day before I go back to school.

LG88 · 05/08/2018 10:32

@Glera congratulations, we must be very similar with our dates as going by my last period I am 6+3 today. So glad I am off work, I think I would find it all so much more stressful if I had to go in every day. I have my early scan next Sunday as I should hopefully be just over 7 weeks by then so should hopefully be able to see a heartbeat if all is well. 🤞🤞🙏 One part of me is so excited for it and another is terrified that nothing will show and it will all be over. 😖 I also have my first midwife appointment the week before going back to work, so annoying that the scan won't be until after I am back as it is going to be hard to find an excuse to have time off after just having had 6 weeks!! Not sure what I will do about that yet. How are you feeling? Exciting that you have a house move, its a nice distraction. Xx

Gavinmaxine1 · 05/08/2018 17:18

@LG88 @Glera what are your symptoms like?? We have our scan on Friday to find out if it's 1 or 2.. I've no nausea just tired and tender breasts xx

LG88 · 05/08/2018 17:34

@Gavinmaxine1 very similar, I'm pretty tired most of the time. Really sore boobs which are also growing (husband thinks this is wonderful and wants daily updates on it. 😂) I haven't really had nausea either until today, woke up at 2.30am feeling really sick and now today keep getting waves of it. I'm so paranoid that I don't have enough symptoms and something is wrong. 🤦 Are you excited for your scan? Xx

OP posts:
Gavinmaxine1 · 05/08/2018 17:58

@LG88 exactly how I think
Atm, like should I be feeling sick and coz I'm not does it mean something's wrong lol oh flip I duno lol., yea I can't hug my hubby as it hurts lol. Can't wait for Friday for peace of mind, excited & nervous 😬

Gavinmaxine1 · 05/08/2018 17:59

@LG88 how many weeks are you?? We will be 7 on Tuesday xx

Monipop84 · 05/08/2018 18:06

raises hand 4 weeks, first pregnancy, exhilarated and mildly terrified! Grin

Jenda · 05/08/2018 18:07

Hello!! I got a BFP 10 days ago. I am either 6/7 weeks and due end of march or early April. Can't be exactly sure due to inconsistent cycle lengths. I've been feeling very sick and sort of periody! We've told our mum's and a few of our best friends. The midwife is trying to fit my in early as I have an under active thyroid which can be affected by pregnancy and vice versa. I'm praying it sticks!!

Baby160P · 05/08/2018 19:02

First time here too 11+2 today xx

Glera · 05/08/2018 21:43

@gavinmaxine1 @lg88

Good luck with the scan. Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly!

I’ll also be 7 weeks on Tuesday - it’s gone quite quickly from first finding out!

Symptoms wise, I’ve had sore breasts, a few headaches this week and today my first wave of nausea. Was feeling really sick when I woke up and up until around noon but it eased off after lunch. Hoping it was a one off!

LeaWings · 05/08/2018 22:32

Sorry to hear about your miscarriage OP but happy about your pregnancy. I’m pregnant for the first time after struggles conceiving and I was so shocked to find out I’m pregnant with twins. I’m 11 weeks and already very tired and scared for what’s to come.

italianwifey · 05/08/2018 22:49

Hi guys please can I join? OP I’m sorry to hear about May, I think I remember you from some of the conception boards so glad to hear you’ve got a BFP :-)

I think by my ovulation dates I’m about 4 weeks but period dates make me more like 3.5 as I have weirdly short cycles and this cycle ovulated on day 9, so not sure how to work it out!

Feeling very anxious about something potentially going wrong, I’m hoping that is normal?
And also so tired!!

Minimoo247 · 06/08/2018 06:30

Hello! I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and this is my first too 😊 feeling excited, nervous and very impatient for the first scan! I found out so early on I did a clearblue digital test which came up 1-2 weeks. Exciting times! I’m due roughly around 2nd April xx
