First pregnancy, looking for buddies..

Hi ladies. So I started testing on Wednesday and had nice lines show up on frer tests wed Thurs and Fri. This morning I decided to brave the digital and was shocked to see 2 - 3 weeks pop up as I thought I had ovulated late this cycle. I am over the moon but still pretty nervous after an early miscarriage in May. Feeling much more positive this time around but husband doesn't want to tell anyone for a while so I am feeling a little isolated in it. Wondered if anyone else is early on and wants to share the journey /support each other. Xx

How did it go @lg88? Hoping all is well? I’ve got to go back to the EPU later this week after some pain I had last week and they couldn’t see anything, am keeping things crossed that it’s just too early as they have mentioned...

@italianwifey oh sorry to hear that, I'm sure all will be fine for you. They often struggle to see anything clearly in the early weeks. I will be keeping everything crossed for you that all goes well. It was really lovely thank you. I was a mess going in but they showed me baby on a big TV screen and I saw the little heart beat. I even got a picture although it doesn't look like much to anyone else at the moment but I love it!!! 💕 What day do you go back to epu? Xx

Hi all, 3.5 weeks today so very early on and very anxious about making bean stick! Only just found out yesterday so fingers and toes crossed!

Welcome newbies I hope everyone is feeling ok? Such an anxious time the first trimester 😬we are now 8 weeks gone and seen heartbeat on scan 🤗our consultant says can tell people as at this stage chances of anything going wrong are down to 1%! He says the 12 week thing is an old wives tale lol but spoze it's a personal choice. Have slight bump already & few customers at work have guessed already 🤦🏻‍♀️no hiding it lol xx

@italianwifey I have cycles between 24-27 days so literally tested the day before period was due as had a slight bit of spotting and my SO wanted me to test. Literally thought nothing of it, peed on the stick and then planned to jump in shower and suddenly an extra line came up. Only 3+6 so super early days for us but hopeful

@donna474 ah okay, I just ask because me too - I had a 22 day cycle this month that I conceived which meant I technically found out really early! I was confused tho as thought maybe because the foetus has been alive the same amount of time if that makes sense that it might mean further along than we think? But have no clue really!!

@Gavinmaxine1 thank you for posting that, I know nothing is guaranteed but when your read things like that which has come from someone medically trained it us certainly reassuring. 😊

@italianwifey keeping everything crossed for you that Thursday morning you have a lovely clear scan and you leave feeling reassured and can relax (as much as you ever can in the first trimester) I do wish we could fast forward these early weeks just to stop all the worry and nerves. It certainly does stop you being able to enjoy being pregnant. I also found a website called miscarriage reassurance and have found this has really helped set my mind at rest more. Xx

@italianwifey I was concerned that having short cycles would have an effect as not much time between AF and ovulation. How far are you now? I'm going to get an early scan but not sure when to get it

Hi everyone!

This is technically my second pregnancy but hopefully first baby. I suffered a missed miscarriage in April (was supposed to be 12 weeks but a scan revealed an empty sac )

I'm now 10 weeks pregnant again and have been full of anxiety! I was worrying even more recently because my nausea has improved a lot over the last few days.

I had a scan today and I needn't have worried Scan showed a healthy bean with a strong heartbeat, wiggling around on the screen ❤ Even stuck their tongue out

@lg88 that website is amazing! I’m scared to get my hopes up too much now haha. Is interesting actually @donna474 as on that website it suggests ovulation/conception date is more accurate than LMP. That would put me at 5 + 5 . I’m actually going in tomorrow morning now @LG88 so will let you know how it goes, thanks for the well wishes.

First scan today and baby was like a raver they took a while to get the pictures 🙈

@italianwifey I had a look on that site and if I put in my ovulation dates it brings my due date forward 2 days so don't think there's much difference in it for me

I'm 12+6 today. So relieve as I was in a bad car accident Monday (not my fault) and have severe whip lash but I just wanted to know the baby wasn't harmed. Relief!!! Xx

That’s interesting @donna4674, mine is a 6 day difference! Feels like a lot at this stage...

Just to update you @lg88 scan showed a sac and yolk so feeling pleased as it’s as it should be for this stage. Feeling relieved!!

@italianwifey yay!! That is amazing news. I have been thinking of you with my fingers crossed all morning. So pleased it went well for you. It's so weird the mix of emotions this brings isn't it. So so happy to be pregnant but with such huge fears about what that might involve. Relax now and enjoy it as much as you can. Xx
