not sure what i expect anyone to say but none of my friends have kids and feel completely lost, yesterday was out with dh and ds i stood up and had a massive gush of blood that soaked my jeans half way down my thighs, was bright red, went to a&e but was bank hol sat so no one could scan and how waiting till tues to find out if there is a baby in there or not... same thing happened but less blood after about 2 hours in a&e, am completely up and down, no bleeding today was all brown blood coloured discharge, so thinking thats positive or am i just kidding myself??

just needed to write it down somewhere... it could go either way, didn't sleep much last night

I had a huge bleed at 12 weeks with dd1, so much blood and huge clots (sorry ttmi!) I reall thought it was over
A scan later showed perfect baby kicking away
I had lots of rest for the next few weeks and eventually relaxed, she is now a lovely 11 year old

Don't panic too much about symtoms, it's quite common for them to start to fade around 12 weeks anyway. Take it easy (I'm sorry I know it's hard) Is there any way you can go to the epu first thing in the morning, if they see how anxious you are they may scan you early??

MrsWednesday · 28/05/2007 21:57

All the very best of luck for your scan tomorrow.

LynetteScavo · 28/05/2007 21:58

Insy, I had the same experience as magnolia. The wait for the scan wasn't so hard for me,as it is for you, as I was 100% sure I'd lost the baby. The baby on the scan came as a huge shock! Hope you get a good nights sleep.

just check my pg notes (dh is so good he took them with us to a&e because he remembered that with ds they told us they wouldn't give us 12 wk scan without them!) i'm having an EPAU scan - what does EPAU stand for? doc wrote me a note that says 'full bladder, be prepared for long wait as will be backlog of scans from weekend' sitting with a full bladder will be fun

Oh Good luck. You poor thing, what a worry for you.

I remember the not wanting to know bit too, but honestly, whatever the outcome, you need to know it. be brave.

insywinsyspider · 29/05/2007 16:39

there was a heartbeat! baby is offically 11 weeks old today! he/she is sharing its space with another bleed but the doc was hopefully that I wouldn't bleed again and, as its outside the sac, it won't interfer with the baby.

I've got my offical dating scan in 2 weeks but everything looks really positive guess it was one of those things

huge relief, have photos and it still feels a little surreal I was sitting on the fence so much it feels weird to know its all ok

Read your message last night and been wondering all day. Am so glad you are ok, I had a bleed at 15 weeks which was ok but it continued on and off for next 2 weeks, mine is linked to low lying placenta and they have told me to expect more. It is so worrying especially in the early days when you can't feel the baby move to know its ok. Good luck i am sure you will be fine. xxxx

Lizzer · 29/05/2007 16:57
