My sister took me for a 'short' walk the day before I had ds, five miles later.... then she gave me pineapple for tea and did some reflexology on me, all to keep me quiet because I was complaining soooo much. Anyway as I was pushing him out she smugly asked me if pain was still my friend!!

LOL at this thread! Poor you Summerfruit - abcess pain is a nightmare. I had it one and was doped up on codeine and was still crying in agony.
