Hello everyone :)
So I got my scan date which is 26th February. Not only OH Birthday but, I'll be 8 weeks, will that still be a viable time for a scan?

@KTD27 Thank you for the support, I'm just trying to figure everything out... I hope they're right, on my blue form i got with the scan date it's for me to fill out & it's said:
'Maternal Screening for Down's Syndrome, Edwards Syndrome & Patau's Syndrome'
So I'm assuming it has everything for the scan

Yes don't worry about the scans. Not all NHS trusts are the same. Where I am I got a quick scan by my lovely consultant at 8 weeks as I happened to be there, as well as a scan at 10 weeks for dating and viability and my standard 12 week scan after my one previous loss.

In answer to what I think was your initial question, yes they can date the pregnancy at 8 weeks. My IVF clinic scans everyone who gets pregnant and they do it at 8 weeks to ensure a clear result.

I know how hard this is. My nerves went absolutely through the roof when my hospital started booking in my scans but it was ok once I'd been to the first one and was properly back in the system.

It sounds like it! And they could try to do it early. But look on the bright side - if they realise you’re too early on due to seeing baby you’ll get a sneak peak then and another a few weeks later. Try to breathe through the anxiety. It’s so so hard I know. I lost my last baby and am currently pregnant too and it can be a really difficult time - the innocence is gone in a way.
Really hope it goes well - I am sure there’s a healthy baby in there just waiting to give you a wave

Just seen your post about the blue form. That will be ok, fill it in and take it along with any other letters and they will sort it all out. Honestly, they see tonnes of women at all sorts of times and are used to having to sort stuff like this out. The person at reception where you have the scan will help you for sure.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Fingers crossed that everything comes back fine on your scan and you have a beautiful baby in the autumn. 🤰🏻

And look on the bright side, once you've had the first scan and seen that all is well you can deal with everything else knowing that you've got a lovely healthy baby on board.
