I'm 10 weeks pregnant and have had no morning sickness. Someone told me that morning sickness was a sign of a very healthy pregnancy.

Any other pregnant mums out there NOT feeling sick?

Im almost 13 weeks pregnant and i have had no symptoms what-so-ever apart from recently my tummy has gotten a little bigger. because i have had no symptoms i did not feel pregnant so in total i have taken 7 pregnancy teast as i kept checking. I went for my scan a week ago and was really scared there wasnt going to be anything but when i she the baby it was magical and ever since then i have felt pregnant. It is aso reassuring that my mum recently told me that she never suffered with morning sickness either

bumpsoon · 05/05/2009 08:41

never had sickness with any of my pregnancies ,slight occasional nausea thats it. Had two healthy babies and hopefully another .

Ninjacat · 06/05/2009 22:32

I had no MS with DS1.
With this pg I've had moments of nausea but never been sick. I had flu last week and my pg symptoms disappeared but now I'm feeling a bit better they seem to have returned so fingers crossed.
Hope all goes well for you emmaij

I am 10 weeks and have had nothing like morning sickness. However, neithr did my mother with either me or my brother (which may or may not mean anything!) Boobs bigger, a bit tireder, eating a bit more and sometimes irritable but that's it. Hopefully we're just very lucky. Had a scan at 8+3 and didn't believe it as I was so sure there would be nothing there and was really nervous. Stomach still completely flat too. Fingers crossed for 12 week scan!

Trikken · 07/05/2009 13:40

jealous of the no morning sickness, have had it with last pg and currently. just want to be able to eat normally!

sassenach · 07/05/2009 18:44

I had nausea with my first pregnancy (girl) and again with my second (which ended in miscarriage at 10 weeks). With this one - which is so far healthy at 10 weeks - I've had no sickness at all. Which is why I was so shocked to find out at my early scan that there really is a baby with a heartbeat in there!

peachyfox · 07/05/2009 19:32

Hello, I didn't have any sickness at all. My mother said neither did she. I was a bit worried at the time, but as someone above has said a huge number of pregnant women don't (I heart 25% get none and more get almost none). Also, older women can get less sickness (I'm 41 myself) which is why they thought it had something to do with a higher rate of miscarriage when in fact this was connected to the maternal age factor (hey, I'm not a doctor, just a googlehead).

I'm 24 weeks now and all is healthy. Wishing you lots of happiness in your pregnancy.

I'm new to this site and it is just so reassuring to read. I have no MS or cravings and am 9 weeks. Some blood tho so very scared!

BeckyBendyLegs · 10/05/2009 18:23

No morning sickness at all with my first pregnancy and he came out nearly 10lbs of healthy baby boy. I had mild nausea with second pregnancy (ended in an MC as 12 weeks) and third pregnancy (produced my second son) and more nausea with fourth pregnancy (ended in an MC - baby had died at 6 weeks but I'd felt sick up to 12 weeks) and the worst so far with this pregnancy (13 weeks so far).

I've always had a bit of a beef against people who say 'sickness indicates a healthy pregnancy'. Bollocks! Everyone reacts to pregnancy hormones in their own way.

ellie1sttime · 08/06/2009 20:16

This is the first time I've logged on to anything like a forum and thought I try and put my mind at rest. I'm between 8-10 weeks pregnant (dates indicate 10 but the sonographer at my early scan a few weeks a go said no way!) I've been bleeding for about three weeks now and am bricking it! This is my first pregnancy and I have no symptoms other than the lack of period and pink line that appears on the many many many tests I do every few days...paranoid or what!

I'm off work at the moment and felt a bit of a skiver until I saw the doctor had put 'threatened miscarriage' as the reason I was off.

I'm really worried I'll go for my 12 (or14) week scan in a few weeks and there'll be nothing there!

MuppetsMuggle · 08/06/2009 20:25

no morning sickness with my DD. I had MS with my pregnancy last year but sadly ended in miscarriage. having the same symptoms at the moment, but pregnancy still hasn't been confirmed yet.

notnowbernard · 08/06/2009 20:26

Never had it with my pregnancies... not even the faintest nausea

brightonbleach · 08/06/2009 22:04

I'm 19 weeks & have had no morning sickness at all - have been diagnosed during this pregnancy with diabetes, interestingly they told me that low blood sugar contributes to morning sickness and as I've been having a problem with high blood sugar then thats why I haven't been feeling sick at all... so not actually a sign of something wrong or the sex of the baby! so if people ARE feeling the MS woes they should reach for some glucose-releasing carbs like bread if they can get it down, or something sugary like icecream or even fresh orange juice (which has so much natural sugar that I'm not allowed any :-( ) and it should really help stop the sickness

mowmi · 09/06/2009 18:10

Thank heavens I found this thread - 7 weeks and not a hint of MS yet. I too have been really worried that this = weak pregnancy.
Thanks ladies x

Grammaticus · 09/06/2009 18:12

Just to add - two healthy boys in this house and I never felt sick when I was pregnant. Don't worry - be thankful!

nickyspooner · 11/06/2009 13:49

Hi I'm new t this site. I didn't have morning sickness with my first three pregnancys, all boys. I am now 8 weeks pregnant with 4th and have suffered really badly this time, until the last few days and it seems to have subsided but now I am convinced that somthing sinister has happened. I have already had a scan at 6 weeks and saw a heartbeat, will be having my dating scan on the 3rd july. Does anyone think I should be worried?

No sickness with DD or DS. Both totally normal pregnancies (apart from being 4 and 5 weeks early..)

JemL · 11/06/2009 15:11

I had no morning sickness at all with DS - and as my first pregnancy ended in MMS, I would have been grateful for it! This time round, I did get sickness, but it was about a week and a half of constant nausea, which stopped at 8.5 weeks, followed by 8 weeks of on and off mild nausea. And it is another boy, which scuppers my theory of girls=ms! So there really are no hard and fast rules.

EstherOnions · 22/06/2009 14:20

Hey Peachy,

I hope you don't mind me asking if your baby was conceived naturally (and hearty congrats, btw). I'm 41 and desperate...

Thanx

EO

Nixies · 23/06/2009 13:41

in my first pg i felt very nauseous for the first 3 months, only actually sick a few times but felt constantly queasy. DS was 12 days late, 8lb11.

this time, i had no nausea which did freak me out a bit, but i did have the same exhausted tiredness and constant hunger (for anything stodgy and carb-loaded) at the beginning. now 32 weeks and all fine!

as my midwife said - every pregnancy is different, and as long as you feel fine and have no other warning signs then you just need to trust your body and go with it!

lynniep · 23/06/2009 13:44

Nope never had any morning sickness with DS. In fact the only troubles I had were a few headaches, heartburn and swollen hands and feet (and that was all in the 2nd - 3rd trimester)

This time around, I have had nausea - fortunately has passed now. You are lucky!!

devotion · 23/06/2009 17:50

emmaij - my friend had no sickness second time an dhad heaklthy boy. dont worry

x

sl003 · 23/06/2009 18:22

Hi i am in my second pregnancy and both of my pregnancies i am suffeing with bad morning sickness. For my first one until the last minute i had it and my baby was healthy. This time untill about 19 week i had that bad morning sickness.I feel bit better these days.

Anyway I think you all who dont have the morning sickness are really lucky.I think no one wants to suffer with it.Be happy about it.

jabbawock · 04/07/2010 10:38

hi there
i had two nausea & sickness ridden PGs then had three pgs with barely any symptoms which went onto m/c. I am pg again and have had all sorts of pg symptoms - but all have been mild and seemngly taking it in turns - ie sore breasts, some morning nausea - mostly heaving, extreme tiredness, crappy moods (lots of short temper), light sleep - early waking and the dreaded diorrhoea - nothing seems too consistent so am hoping all will be well.. good luck x
