Can it happen right away? Or does it take a few months?

For me it was right away, which was a bit of a shock. I was 39, and expected it to take about a year, but I had one period after stopping the pill and then I was pregnant. Everyone's different, though - tippy really can't tell.

2 cycles - I also thought it would take a while! I'm 26, on Ovranette for 11 years.

MmmMalbec · 16/04/2017 07:30

2 proper cycles but I'd had 5 months of totally messed up cycles when I came off the pill so felt like a lifetime until we could try properly!

BellaGoth · 16/04/2017 07:32

Conceived on the second cycle with both of mine.

Stopped pill just before wedding. Got pregnant on honeymoon. Bit of a shock but a lovely extra souvenir - our little surprise from Italy!

eternalopt · 16/04/2017 07:40

Took 3 cycles the second time.

6 months, but my periods were months apart! And I wasn't tracking ovulation or anything (wasn't fussed about getting pregnant straight away). As soon I started using OPKs I got pregnant straight away.

3 years Hmm

GrumpySausage · 16/04/2017 08:05

2 cycles for me. That was after 2 years of the injection.

DeliciouslyHella · 16/04/2017 08:16

I took my last pill on the Monday (mid packet) and according to my dating scan, fell pregnant on the Wednesday. Blush

Rockandrollwithit · 16/04/2017 08:19

A year Hmm

Eeeeek2 · 16/04/2017 08:39

9 months

beaches1 · 16/04/2017 09:06

On my youngest two, it happened the first month off the pill.
On my first, I came off it 6mths before we were going to start trying to let my cycle settle etc and it happened the second month of trying. But I think that it was more down to luck on our part and me paying v close attention to my cycle in terms of ovulation etc.

Piehunter · 16/04/2017 09:09

10 months and counting (cycle 11 in less than a week if AF turns up as I expect!) it was cerazette, progesterone only pill.

Starfish83 · 16/04/2017 09:45

Stopped taking the pill in December, fell pregnant in January! x

EchoesOfLeon · 16/04/2017 09:48

About 3 years!

Onemoresliceofcakewonthurt · 16/04/2017 09:55

9 months; I was on the Evra patch for roughly 2 years prior, I had 9 months of irregular or near to no periods so made it difficult to track ovulation but now had my perfect little 2YO.

arbrighton · 16/04/2017 11:12

First cycle we tried after 3 months of being safe in other ways to try and get some idea of my cycle

4 years and a round of IVF

froofroomcgoo · 16/04/2017 11:30

2 cycles, but we were only trying for one of those!

Rinceoir · 16/04/2017 11:33

It's very variable. I had a positive pregnancy test 3 weeks after stopping the combined pill. It's not unusual for ovulation to be delayed a few months after stopping the pill though, and in occasional cases if there is an underlying issue like PCOS the pill may have masked the symptoms and delayed the diagnosis (although it certainly won't have caused the problem).

kel1493 · 16/04/2017 11:35

I stopped in July 2015, and became pregnant in November 2015, so 4 months it took us

PotteringAlong · 16/04/2017 11:38

7 weeks
17 months
6 months

UnbornMortificado · 16/04/2017 11:39

Between 2 months and 2 years. I believe the average is 9 months.
