Where are your stretch marks?

Hi all :)

I'm currently 15+4 and I've just found my first stretch marks. No one told me I'd get them on the inside of my thighs lol! I have a few on my breasts (I think) on they're not as prominent as my thigh ones.

I'm just curious to know where yours might be and whether you have any in any strange or unexpected places?

My mother has none. I am covered. Thighs, boobs, stomach, hips, inner biceps (??) , calves, managed to avoid my bum!
I used to get bio oil until I reaslised it will never work! (Stretch marks are too deep within the skin for them to reach)
I live with them.

Everywhere Sad Well not exactly but upper thighs, hips, lower bump, and now ALL DOWN MY LEGS Sad

Also why are people posting to say "none" / "nowhere"? WHY?! Please go away and stop making us jealous!

I've also been very lucky and not got any. Saying that ttc#3 now so I may have tempted fate

Didn't get any in 2 pregnancies and not having any more babies. Feeling smug! Grin

The rest of my body is destroyed, mind!

dorisdog · 27/02/2017 08:27

Lots around my tummy. They've never bothered me. I had a slight wobble about them when I met my current partner, but it turned out he had quite a few from adolescence anyway.

TwoDogs9 · 27/02/2017 08:41

I was convinced I'd be covered because I got terrible stretch marks on my hips and thighs during a growth spurt in puberty. So from early pregnancy I started applying vitamin E oil every night and Palmers Cocoa Butter lotion for stretch marks every morning and managed to escape any! Wish I could say the same for haemorrhoids!!! 😩😩

MrsPringles · 27/02/2017 08:51

I've got a couple on my hips but none on my tummy
I have one DC

BottomlyP0tts · 27/02/2017 08:54

All over my bum - they are thing and white but make my ass look terrible

bobbis · 27/02/2017 11:31

Currently 35 weeks and none in this pregnancy so far crosses fingers
From my last 5 years ago...inside my thighs that haven't faded and on my hips that have.

Could be true in my case about the age theory! I had DD1 at 21, DD2 now at 24. Also living in a hot climate and letting my tummy get a tan was a baaaad idea. got 90% of them in the two weeks I went overdue, my tummy itched like crazy despite latherings of cream! My mum had 4 children, the eldest when she was 19 and through to the youngest at 40... and doesn't have any!

doubletrouble41 · 28/02/2017 06:55

Hmm going to chip in on age theory; I was 23 when I had DD1; no stretch marks AT ALL; had my DDs 2 and 3 last year (twins ) at ripe age of 42 and have developed them on my thighs boobs and arms. I assumed it was my age, though it could have been my epic weight gain. I was HUGE.

Orangebird69 · 28/02/2017 10:04

I was 40 when I had my ds. It's nothing to do with age. Neither is it genetics. Both my DM and dsis have substantial stretch marks.

Oh2weealone · 28/02/2017 12:02

Could have written this myself!! No stretch marks but everything else!

BembaNugget · 02/03/2017 15:28

Thank you all for replying! It's definitely been a really good insight and I enjoyed reading some of your theories.

I was a little upset about my new stretch marks at first, but I've come to accept them. I think I'm going to have a fair few but I've come to just laugh about them and brush them off.

I seem to have some underbump ones appearing along my bikini line.

khajiit13 · 03/03/2017 21:29

Yes, I have them on my bikini line too

WantingBaby1 · 04/03/2017 21:44

Fortunately I haven't got any yet, but I'm using Bottle 'o Butter after my morning shower everyday - I cannot recommend it enough! Super cheap and doesn't smell like cocoa butter normally does. Doesn't have much of a smell at all. Puts loads of moisture in your skin and that helps with the stretching. You can buy it in other places but I got mine here www.amazon.co.uk/BOTTLE-BUTTER-COCOA-MOISTURISING-LOTION/dp/B007DH6ER6?tag=mumsnetforum-21
