It's like witchcraft compared to a few years ago.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 21/02/2017 17:17

The midwife had to point that out to me with dc3 on the day 10 visit as I hadn't even noticed the line Blush

They get the rotavirus (sp?) vaccine now too. It didn't have the nicest of side effects in our case (screamed for about 4 hours after it each time & had diarrhoea) but as dc3 was hospitalised due to rotavirus when I was expecting dc4 I think it was worth it.

Wow i have alot to learn!! Ive just had my flu jab (another box ticked) and urine test showed no uti. Thanks for the advice ☺ i feel much more at ease now. Apparently less wee than water being drank is likely to be baby using it or its squishing blood vessels making me feel I need to go...anyway....me being paranoid again Blush doctor's are alot nicer when your pregnant

Jelly I didn't know that either. Blush I'm really prone to them and cystitis anyway so I'm paranoid something's wrong at the best of times. My waters went at 30 weeks with DD2 due to an infection so I always think it's worth getting checked.

The only other advice I ever give on the pregnancy topic is too ask a professional Grin

Didn't have a clue about the rotovirus vaccine either Bernard.

Jellybabie3 · 21/02/2017 19:45

Totally agree unborn. I have had my fair share of cystitis and although i knew it wasnt that i didnt want it to develop into something. Besides, i always think if your worries about getting a uti, you end up giving yourself one!! Feel much better now (relaxed) but no doubt it wont be the last test i ask for!!

I've been in heels for 10hours today, I've had three meetings and then had to bullshit my way through after work drinks. Just got home and cried because I wanted to share the bottle of wine my DH has opened.

Unhinged pregnant lady with an overload of hormones tonight. 10+3 here.

ememem84 · 24/02/2017 21:17

Work we're talking about after work drinks. I made my excuses came home and made Chinese food (home made stir fried crispy chillie beefnoodles). Poured dh a beeer.

I want a beer. I want my teeth to stop hurting. I want to not have a sore throats.

Misery here today.

Jellybabie3 · 24/02/2017 22:57

When do you think you'll tell work? I told manager this week but my team wont know until i am 14 weeks (we are waiting to tell mums on mothers day if all goes well at 12 week scan)

Urgh. 31+4 here having heart palpitations, horrible rib pain and I burst into tears when scrolling through Facebook earlier Blush
All my anti-natal friends seem to be having baby showers this week, (it's the done thing in our culture and is more about celebrating the new baby and having a girly night with friends, there's usually no gifts! This isn't about me being grabby) Anyway, I'm on baby number 4, and I've never had one. The people who should have organised it with my eldest forgot about us. They tagged me onto someone elses when dd1 was 6 months old Blush it wasn't the same and so completely obvious I was an afterthought. The party was all geared up to her eg there was a cake with her name on it, not one for me, all the balloons and decorations said baby boy, I had a DD etc. Second time around they forgot again Sad and didn't even bother to cover it up. We moved areas and in this area they don't do them for subsequent babies, just the first (which I totally understand) but it still feels like a kick in the gut whenever I see friends having them. It's so stupid, but it would be nice for someone to make a fuss over me for once. Anyway. Whinge over. Back to real life :)

Ookmybanana · 24/02/2017 23:28

I've already moaned about this on another thread but I have a cold. 18+1 today. Colds suck at the best of times but even more so when you can't drug yourself to the eyeballs!

I feel like a fat snot filled moose. I just look fat, rather than pregnant. Serves me right for getting pregnant before losing weight. I wanted a lovely neat bump. To look all wonderful and serene not moby bloody dick!

I'm so hit, thirsty and full of pee. It's a glamorous business this pregnancy. But I did start feeling baby moving this week. Which has been lovely to get a little reminder that something is actually happening.

I feel like I do nothing but whinge being pregnant. My husband has been most tolerant. I'm sure I wouldn't be so kind if the positions were reversed.

ememem84 · 25/02/2017 07:32

I've told my manager (who told the others - he was out of the office a lot so we felt it was better to let the bosses know just in case I needed time off or went weird) And my team mate. Again same reason. If I'm not there she has to pick up the slack.

I'll tell everyone after 12 week scan if all goes well.

JessieMillz25 · 25/02/2017 07:40

Another week done ladies Grin 31+4 now. Going at a snails pace. Have a lovely weekend all!

abeandhalo · 25/02/2017 07:59

I'm almost 34 weeks & I'm quite ready to exchange all this nonsense for a baby soon.

My PGP has made me basically infirm now. Yesterday I took my own car to work for the first time in weeks instead of getting a lift & then went to the supermarket on the way home to grab stuff for dinner & I shouldn't have done it, it was too much I couldn't carry the basket or walk properly.

Can't believe I've got 6 more weeks & going to the supermarket by myself is now beyond me! I feel terrible for my partner, he is having to do everything.

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 25/02/2017 08:17

Hi Jelly I really like the mum & me range. Hope you enjoyed your bath & curry.

I was finally booked this week. My sickness hasn't been quite so bad this week as I've no pressure to get up & out (half term so no school runs). I'm hoping it continues next week when they're back at school but I won't be surprised if it doesn't. I was 16 weeks yesterday & I'm now feeling quite a lot of little movements each day.

Oh abe it sucks doesn't it. I can't offer any advice as nothing helped my spd last time really (a belt helped a little but not drastically) but you are getting closer to the end & it is worth it. Do you have small things you can focus on to get you through the next few weeks?
