They've told me to come in for 7am.

Soooo much adrenaline flowing now that I can't feel the pelvic pain that has been kicking my ass since January.

Exciting times Wink

Ooooh exciting!

Be prepared they may say "you arent dilated please come back either when cxns are at a certain stage or 24 hours whichever is first"

Id try and get the MW on side and if you are even slightly dilated try and get her to guve you a Sweep while she is up there.

Lizkmg · 24/03/2016 06:18

Ooh thanks I definitely will do. My contractions have started but they are really, really mild and 20 mins apart. I will ask for a sweep though definitely thank you for the advice

Good luck op!

stolemyusername · 24/03/2016 09:13

Yay! You're going to have a baby!!

magratsflyawayhair · 24/03/2016 09:37

How exciting. X

Lizkmg · 24/03/2016 11:06

I have been sent home with instructions to come back when contractions are more painful and every 3 minutes. They are already every 4 minutes, but on a scale of 1-10 pain wise I'd say they are about a 7 only. Luckily we only live 10 mins from the hospital so can get back there nice and quickly. Midwife said she expects she'll see us again this afternoon, but if not I'll be induced tomorrow at 10am!

So one way or another baby is on her way !!!

Oh the excitement! marks place

I love a good labour story me!

Lizkmg · 24/03/2016 17:40

Still at home, contractions very sore now. Called hosp again they've said to come in when it becomes unbearable. It's not far away now that point.

Liz. On a scale of 1 to 10 how excited are you?

PennyHasNoSurname · 24/03/2016 19:15

Ahhhh I was so excited to come back to this thread after work and hope you were snuggling a baby.

Hopefully not too much longer!

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/03/2016 19:18

I'd be careful with the warning of waiting until unbearable. Mine never got to that point with first baby. Good luck x

Luckystar1 · 24/03/2016 19:22

Would echo Merkin, I lied and pretended mine were bad to get admitted... DS was born 1.5 hrs later.

Good luck!!

Ps Merkin I'm not liking your mention of 'first pregnancy' I'm holding out for the same for #2...!!

CatsCantFlyFast · 24/03/2016 23:26

Me too luckystar

Hope you're getting squish cuddles op

icklekid · 25/03/2016 03:14

Hope all is going well op not long now if your not already cuddling your baby /sleeping!

Nowthereistwo · 25/03/2016 04:52

Hopefully your cuddling a baby already (or more importantly sleeping).

Agree don't wait till the pain is a 10 as you don't know how your 10 is to average.

I did gas & air with both babies and I didn't think I have a high pain threshold

PennyHasNoSurname · 25/03/2016 21:00

Waaaaaa!

Hope you are post birth and blissful OP

Lizkmg · 26/03/2016 01:08

Baby arrived earlier today :) it was a pretty traumatic experience with a few things going wrong and an emergency c-sec at the end. But it's done now, my DD is here and healthy and that's all that really matters.

Exhausted but happy! Goodnight all & thanks for the well wishes x

Oh congratulations and well done. Sleep well and if you have trapped wind (which can present as pain in your shoulder as if you've slept oddly), peppermint tea from the midwives will help!

icklekid · 26/03/2016 04:37

Congratulations on your daughter! Well done for getting through it now enjoy and don't push yourself too quickly Flowers
