Grand WJ: It has been so long since I have been here that I am to say I don't know who you are... but to clarify I am NOT NOT NOT pregnant. Sorry for the confusion! At this stage I hope never to need maternity clothes but I was trying to tease Bella because I sent her most of mine last year and joked at the time about how the last time I gave my maternity clothes away I was pg again within weeks.

I am not too sure about moving again soon. Thankfully, DH has been offered another 1 year contract here so we do have the option to stay.

Bella, Friz and Munz: As usual, I am humbled by your kind offers of help. I honestly don't know what I need. (Perhaps just a swift kick up the back-side?!?) I am just really finding things completely overwhelming and as a result feel that life is passing me by and my children are the ones who are suffering. Intellectually, I know how spoiled I am to have four healthy children and a husband who adores us all but I am just so and lonely here. Even the people that I do spend time with are just not the sort of people that I would normally talk to and I miss home (wherever that might be !!!)

DH is on his way to London for 3 days this week and I am sick with worry about how I will cope on my own. I don't understand how I have become so pathetic since I used to spend months and months without him. I am also full of since I would love to go as well. He goes to Berlin for 5 days next week and I could just vomit thinking about that.

My mum used to be aware of how crap I was feeling and made an effort to call often but she is really busy with renovating their house and likely tired of making suggestions that I ignore. Everyone else seems to think that I am getting along beautifully and that my life is a giant adventure. Even my real (old) friends just don't have a clue...

Sorry for the ramble. (Another reason that I don't come on here often is that I don't have anything to add except whingeing!!)

So sorry you are feeling rubbish at the moment. You have gone through an awful lot of upheaval in the last year. Sounds like you need a good dose of TLC. Have you told your DH how you are feeling?

Friz and Debs, I'm with you with the nightmare of top teeth teething. Jake is nearly 15 months old and they are only just coming through now so we have been through a few nights of constant wailing. Glad it's monthers day tomorrow and I get a lie in!

Caddy - oh dear, sounds like you are having it rough at the moment!
Right - my advice would be to shout up and ask for some help. You need to phone your Mum and your really good friends and tell them how you are feeling. Friends and family need to rally round and ease life for you at the moment and suffering in silence helps no-one.
Poor you!!
I am not a believer in soldiering on - you need to let people know how you feel and let them help you. Even a few phone calls with some moral support can help when life feels very sh*te!

I know what you mean about being lonely, its horrible having to spend time with people who you wouldn't normally speak to rather than be on your own. Just try and take one week at a time, see people when you need to and keep a look out for the few sane/fun people who might become good friends. Sometimes it just takes time.

Make sure you speak to DH and your Mum and try and come get them to help you with an action plan on how to make life a bit easier / less draining than it is at the moment.

Hope some of that makes sense and that you are feeling so low xx

Thanks again everyone for your kind words. I hope to be able to look back on this year and laugh but for now it is rather stressful to say the least.

Friz: DH was actually in London yesterday. His flight left at 7:15 am... He had a lovely dinner at friends' last night and did the dishes so that the mum there could just relax with their two. He did call several times yesteday which was helpful.

Argh, Caddy you should have come with him, then we could have mumsnet kidnapped you round to CSWS's and given you a fabby day Sure you wouldn't mind would you CSWS??

I really need to get these monkeys off to bed (tis 8:00 pm here and they are all still getting their jammies on!) Must try to do a proper catch up over the next couple of days.

I really wish that I had gone to London with DH but it was too expensive to even consider. His was paid for by the 'client'.
