I was supposed to be off to bed. DH is in Berlin and I am on my own with 4 outrageous children.

Berlin! crikey, has he been at home at all this week hon?

DS1 is not even 10 but seems to be a teenager this week.

DD1 had her birthday party on Saturday at our house. 11 7-8 year old girls and one friend each for DSs. CHAOS...

DS2 is charming during the day but a NIGHTMARE in the evenings when I need to concentrate on homework/tea etc etc,

DD2 is teething and into EVERYTHING!

I have health issues that I keep ignoring but they are not going away.

So more of the same!

I hate it here on my own. My neighbours give me the creeps.

OMG I'm so dreading those birthday parties when my dd's get to that age did she have a good time?
dd2 is so into everything as well, you can't put anything down without it getting swiped she now has 4 teeth, hurrah!!
All is ok here, just swigged a nice glass or two of wine, ahem!! had a bottle left over from the weekend, our 2nd wedding anniversary!!

Oh so you got to see him for a few days then, better than not I guess.
So what's the story with your neighbours??

I wish there was a good story but basically we are outsiders so they don't like us. I try to maintain a positive attitude because Hey-ho! If they are talking about us it means that they are leaving some other soul alone.

Oh hon, that sucks are they local, local's then? do you have to have much to do with them?

The birthday party went really well but it was a lot of work! I was feeling really blue about having spent so much time cleaning and tidying only to have the entire house turned on end in 3 hours but dd1 was really happy about the whole event. It was really nice to see all of her friends but rather odd that not a single parent stayed for more than 10 seconds. I was so used to our old group of friends that stayed around to chat but maybe they have even outgrown the tradition...

How are things for you? I really need to drag my pathetic self to the post office as i haave a small gift for you and one for Nemo as well. Where does the time in my week go?

We live in what used to be a village and they considre the Viennese to be outsiders as well...

It only worries me when dh is away because I don't like the dirty looks but he makes it a sport by either laughing or glaring back as the mood suits him. I am just wimpy in my old age!

I imagine it goes to the same place as my time!! there's a big black hole full of time somewhere out there!! or could it just be a houseful of kids eh!

Yikes, local locals, no matter where you are in the world you can always find them eh! you have my sympathies, is the whole village this bad?

Someone left a note on our car a few weeks back telling us not to spread 'our mud' on their road. This is especially odd as it is a gravel road and there is a new house being built at the end that is literally a mud bath... It is just the little things that get to me. The really grumpy neighbours won't even spare a smile or kind gesture for dd2 an they really worry me!

Our 'nicest neighbour' tortures me by telling me what the rest of the willage are saying about us. I fear that it is a rather strange passive-aggressive thing where he lacks the courage to just tell me himself.

Our garden really needs work and dh is always away so that never helps. Did I mention the NO WORK or noise on Sunday laws here? I was told off for doing laundry..

Now that is odd hon do you think they got the wrong car?? maybe they think you're building the house at the end of the road???? you know how country gossip can go?!

Agree its odd about the parents at the party, but to be honest, we're starting to get that with dd1's friends and she was only 3 at last party

Cadders so sorry i had to go,ds is teething so was very clingy i was still in my pjs at 7pm last night he wouldnt let me put him sdown for longer than 5 mins.Good god your neighbours sound awful have you asked them outright what there problem is?You sound very alone whilst dh is away,you need a break too,it sounds like you hava a lot on your plate right now.But you must get back to the Drs as you still have these health issues it is very important that you look after you too hun.Keep talking to us and i hope that it helps you take care xxxxxxxx

Cadders your neighbours sound horrendous hun I can really understand you being so low..as I said you have my number so use it!!!!

Been to my nans funeral today which was hard but am glad she is at peace now. Took C with me and left other 2 with DHs parents, they cant cope with all 3..lol Things are up down and roundabout here but then thats the norm!
