Bella23 · 03/01/2007 21:09

Yes BF is tough going at the beginning. Sounds like he is thriving though being such a healthy weight - well done!

This parenting lark is hard work - who would have thought it !!!

Nemo2007 · 03/01/2007 21:12

Will be mooing with you in spirit

MeAndMyBoys · 03/01/2007 23:11

Helloooo I found you. Happy New year to all my beanie friends and hope the year brings all that you wish.

I'm sorry that some people are struggling, i hope it get's easier for you soon. Debbsy if you need a bit of extra nutrition have you tried meal supplements as well as eating? We run a health and nutrition business and i have been having vitamin shakes twice a day and 3 meals a day to keep up with DS2's demands and I have still lost over a stone since he was born - 10 weeks and he's almost double his birth weight did one week where he put on a lb in 7 days . He's slowing down a bit now though.

Damn being called...... I will catch up properly in the next couple of days xx

Bella23 · 04/01/2007 07:51

Nemo - best of luck for today, hope all goes smoothly, I am sure it will xx
Sorry to hear about your sister, hope she is ok

Frizbe · 04/01/2007 09:57

Nemo, hope all is going smoothly for you and your Sis is ok {{{Hugs}}}
Bella {{{Hugs}}} sounds like its time to find some mother n baby groups/your local toy library??? its so weird parenting at times, I still find myself missing my old job on occassions, don't know why as have more than enough on my plate with these two! guess its a re defining of identity thing. (and even tho I've been running my own business for the last 3 years part-time! lol)
Debsey, keep up the good work with the BF, the 1st 6 weeks are the worst as they say, then it does get easier, although expect a 12 week growth spurt too, but all will soon start to settle down honest!

Munz · 04/01/2007 10:03

just a quick one from me - nemo hope all's going well for you.

debs - agree with M&B- althou my h/v used to tell me to eat whilst I was feeding J - he was real sick every time thou so i'd be eating after feeding him and whilst burping him - keeps all energy up accept for on a night when I didn't. (had a late supper instead)

bella - agree witht eh rest find yourself a M&T group - we have 2 we go to, and i've just met a fellow wife over the road from me who's going to introduce me to another group as well I really would go mad if it was just me and J all the time! it's better now he's older and can play with the others more but for me it was good just to get out for some adult conversation.

hope everyone's ok thou, will come back later on when listing yet more ebay things!

Debbsyandson · 04/01/2007 13:06

m and mb poiunt me in the right direction please

MeAndMyBoys · 04/01/2007 20:50

There are several on the market things like fortisip I guess you know? Complan, build up? This is the one I'm using:
Formula 1 ignore the bit about weight-loss that's only if you're replacing meals which you wouldn't be.

Alternatively, you can eat lots, have 3 good meals a day, and several snacks - mid morning, mid afternoon, after tea and then supper, protein based snacks are really good - chicken, ham, fish, cheese and fruit of course. Although I struggled to find the time to get the snacks with the 2 boys, and the shakes are just easier lol, I was on about 3000 calories a day, to help me recover from the birth and keep up with guzzle guts demands.

Hope this helps? if you want more suggestions mail me? harrizeb at bigfoot dot com. Take care.

H x

Bella23 · 05/01/2007 08:22

Cadeauxmum · 10/01/2007 09:15

Hello all!

It is nice to see that you all still meet here semi-regularly.

MN simply would not load on our computer over the holidays... I have no idea why but I am glad that it is cooperating again as the PIL went back to Canada this morning and I would imagine that I will need the èvirtual company again.

I have been thinking about Wendy as well. Seding you warm wishes for 2007.

Cadeauxmum · 10/01/2007 09:15

Guess I should change back to my non festive name now too!

Munz · 10/01/2007 18:28

ahy come on S when's your due date?

how's things nemo?

I haven't heard from Wendy at all - would she be accepting CAT's?

anyhow just a quick stop form me, went for an interview today but don't think I'll take it if offered - not sure hours are 9-5.30 Thurs and Fri then to be 'on call' as/when for holidays and sick etc. for my branch, and 2 others - one being a 40 mins drive away. the more I think about it actually - hoping I don't get the job in a way. anyhow. we're TTC again - YAY! I did join the TTC thread but without sounding mean they're all about TTC lol - duh! lol. you know how we all used to just chatter away about random stuff - this is all focused on TTC, so I don't think I'll bother- going for the easy time this time! lol.

anyhow hope everyone's OK x

Bella23 · 10/01/2007 19:21

I often think about Wendy - really hope she is having some good luck in her life as last time she posted she was having a rotten time. Would be lovely to hear from her.

Is everyone having a good week so far?
