Depending on my cycle this month I'm not due AF until either Sunday or Tuesday. But, I am getting a lot of stabbing and stretching pains and I'm wondering if this is actually my month? I'm too scared to test too early as a negative test will deflate me, but I'm just too impatient! I think I'm going to wait until Saturday as then DH will be home, but again, it's being able to wait that long!' (Even though I know it's not very long at all...)

I got a bfp 4 days before my period was due. Like you I had some twingey pains and felt that I just knew.

Good luck!

Whoknewitcouldbeso · 13/10/2015 15:48

8dpo.

Autumn2014 · 13/10/2015 15:49

Not super early but I got mine this time at 25/28 cd. Id previously promised never to test before cd 28/28 as if you get a negative then there is always the doubt that it was too early for a positive and it leaves you in limbo. However I was going away and it felt weird to pack a test like I was tempting fate. So I tested early and got my +, so I packed another test just to confirm it on cd 28 anyway! My only symptom pre testing was I had a lot of excess saliva. I.just could not stop swallowing, this then turned into the metallic taste thing

Autumn2014 · 13/10/2015 15:50

P's good luck!

jusdepamplemousse · 13/10/2015 16:06

5 days before period due - day 23.

I ultimately found it really stressful knowing so early and think you're better off holding out until you're a week or so late (I will do next time) but I know the urge to test is pretty irresistible too!

Good luck!

Thank you all for your replies.
Eminy I feel like i know too, but again I'm just worried that I'm jumping the gun a bit and jinxing things. I'll buy a test on Thursday when I go shopping and then I'll hopefully be able to hold off until Saturday!! Ive seen a lot of good things about First Response tests, so do you recommend I buy them?

Absolutely use first response and use first wee of day as well. I've been 4 days early too

Don't bother with clearblue - waste of time until bit further along

NotSoYummyMummy23 · 13/10/2015 16:37

Thank you Brummie. I used clear blue with DS and they came up straight away, but he wasn't planned so I was almost a week late. Time to keep my fingers crossed!!

I got my bfp 5 days before af was due, using a frer. My cycles were 31 days though which might be a factor. Good luck OP! Thanks

Autumn2014 · 13/10/2015 16:53

I used a cheap asda test at cd25/28 and got my +
I used.a regular clear blue at cd 28 and that was positive too.

ProbablyMe · 13/10/2015 17:01

Day 23 of a 27 day cycle using a First Response.

Lucy61 · 13/10/2015 19:42

Definitely get a first response if you are testing early.

IdaClair · 13/10/2015 19:45

nternet cheapie stick positive at 8dpo

NotSoYummyMummy23 · 13/10/2015 20:25

8dpo is amazing!! So if I decided to test Friday, if there's enough hcg and I used a First Response, then I should get a positive?

OP posts:
toohardtothinkofaname · 14/10/2015 07:33

9dpo. Tested because of triphasic BBT

ValancyJane · 14/10/2015 07:44

I had a 'is that something?' at 8dpo (after ten mins convinced myself I was going insane and threw it in the bin), a 'that actually looks like a really faint line in the right light' at 9dpo so bought a FRER, and a proper line at 10dpo with both FRER and cheap internet one! Agree that First Response brings up a far clearer positive than the internet cheapies. Good luck!

NotSoYummyMummy23 · 14/10/2015 08:51

Thanks guys, I'll buy the test tomorrow!! Grin

I'm on the other side. 3 pregnancies. POAS addict (so it wasn't that I wasn't taking tests).

Earliest was CD 32 latest was CD 35 (my DS).

So don't be too disheartened by early BFNs!

Tangoandcreditcards · 14/10/2015 08:58

I should add I have v regular cycles with ovulation CD 13-14

fizzysweetie · 14/10/2015 09:03

I got a faint but definite + at 10dpo with a FRER. I'm not sure I could say that I "just knew" but the two days before I tested I had brief but strong waves of nausea at breakfast time, which I'd had when pregnant with DD. Good luck!

NotSoYummyMummy23 · 14/10/2015 09:31

Thank you everyone for your replies. I will keep you all updated and hopefully, the next time you hear from me, I'll be showing you my BFP!!!

Are all First Response tests early response? I've gone to my local Sainsbury's and they don't sell First Response at all, and ASDA just sell First Response. There's nothing on them to say about the early response? And they're the 'results in one minute'?

9 DPO on an internet cheapie, did first response same day and got a strong line.

NotSoYummyMummy23 · 15/10/2015 07:41

Well I took a test this morning and it was negative. I knew I shouldn't have done it. Anyway, I think I'm just going to wait until I've missed my period now. I'm due AF on Sunday so it won't be long until I know for sure.
