Anyone get pregnant with #2 first try?

Hi ladies, this is my first month of ttc #2. We've dtd every day before and during ovulation. But with #1 I got pregnant on first cycle trying. I think I might be setting myself up for disappointment hoping for the same again. Anyone here fall pregnant with number 2 on the first cycle of trying?

Yes. It took 7 months first time round so we were a little surprised.

Me. No1 was over a year. It was somewhat of a shock second time round.

Yes, I did, despite being told we would have difficulty ever conceiving again after DS's birth. Bit of a (welcome) shocvk to be honest, we thought it would take years or perhaps never

Yes, not even on a proper cycle, as had just stopped breast feeding. So no LMP dates, midwife told me it's pretty common. Hope it works out for you but don't stress too much if it doesn't happen straight away, there are some good stats online about how long it takes the average couple to conceive. I imagine that with my personality if we'd been actively TTC, instead of just seeing if it would happen, it might have taken longer.

Yes but then had an early MC. Then fell pregnant straight away after first period. It took 2 cycles for DC1. Good luck!

We tried for five months, got pregnant and miscarried. Pregnant again first cycle after and miscarried again. Fell pregnant with dd1 fourth cycle of trying after a six month break.

Got drunk one night when dd1 was 18 months, didn't use condoms and fell pregnant (only did it once that month) and now holding my three month old dd2.

My friend fell pregnant first try with dd1 but took 8 months for dd2.

Yes, I got pregnant straight away. I was convinced I'd have trouble conceiving as I was still breastfeeding.

No. 1st cycle with no 1, and 6th cycle with no 2 (resorted to ovulation kit).

Yes, and I was still breastfeeding. It was quite a shock because it had taken almost a year to conceive DC1, and because DC1 was only 6 months old when I got pregnant. We expected it to take ages. Third time around I also got pregnant at the first try.

Yup first time with both dc and first time with current pregnancy too. I think we've been very lucky!

Yes, first cycle after it taking four months with number 1. Number 2 turned out to be number 2 and 3, but that's another story!

We did, both times we were pregnant on first cycle which considering I am 36 this year (currently 7.5 months pregnant) and overweight was a bit of a surprise!

number 1 took 3 months, number 2 was a ons with my sons Dad (who I then got back with very complicated) and number 3 we weren't trying, he is a contraception fail. who is due in just over 9 weeks!

DD1 took 3 months after chatting and DD2 was first try. In fact we only had that month to try before having to wait six months before trying again because of various factors. Seemed as though she just really wanted to join us. Grin

Yes my sister did. She thought she would never have a baby then fell pregnant first try with a new partner when she was 37. #2 was after dtd once while breast feeding #1!

More or less immediately with number 2 having spent so long TTC number 1 that we were on the ICSI waiting list.
