Hi ladies, this is my first month of ttc #2. We've dtd every day before and during ovulation. But with #1 I got pregnant on first cycle trying. I think I might be setting myself up for disappointment hoping for the same again. Anyone here fall pregnant with number 2 on the first cycle of trying?

I'm liking all these stories... In theory if it has worked, there is already a little fertilised egg inside me. Weird thought... But now the 2ww...

Nope! 1st cycle first time around (but had MC) then pg with DS 3 months later. When trying for #2 took 7 months!! No idea why but a few of my friends have been the same. Don't want to be a party pooper but better to be prepared in case it doesn't happen straight away. In my case we will now have a 2 yr age gap which I'm now relieved about as toddlers are hard work and a smaller age gap may have tipped me over the edge Wink.

Tried 3 months then miscarried. Tried 6 months then miscarried. Tried a YEAR and was diagnosed with "undetectable" ovarian reserve. Started fertility treatment. Fell pg on 5th cycle of super ovulation. Miscarried. Started super ovulation again and fell pg. Dc1 born. Didn't want sex for months. Dc1 20 months and we had a half hearted shag on day 9 of my cycle. Fecking immaculate conception is now kicking away and I'm 23w with dc2. So yeah, dc2 was first "try".

Yep absolutely. And weirdly, I just knew I was pregnant too.

StrawberrytallCake · 17/05/2015 19:19

Yes!! 5 months with dc1, once with dc2...once....not one month...we dtd once. You can tell by her personality too, she's certainly an energetic child.

NickySummerbee · 17/05/2015 20:20

DC1 accident, DC2 first try, MC 4th cycle, DC3 1st try afterwards.

Alanna1 · 17/05/2015 22:42

Yes.

Redtrousers · 17/05/2015 22:45

Yes first try with my first and second.

Ivytheterrible · 17/05/2015 22:57

Yep first try with one and two. 5 days with unplanned #3.

DirectorOfBetter · 17/05/2015 23:01

Yup.
Told I'd likely not be able to have kids.
DC1 on 3rd month DCs 2 and 3 both on first month.
That showed 'em Grin

BikeRunSki · 17/05/2015 23:03

First cycle both times, despite being 37 first dc and 40 for second dc.

Unplanned DC1 after first ever slight risk of my life. Fortunately only 4 months before intended month to start trying. Only downside was not being able to eat/drink freely on honeymoon! Second unplanned pregnancy due to second ever risk - much wanted but MC at 11 weeks. Didn't want to delay too long before trying again due to bring closer to 40 than 35 so convinced my husband we should get on with it. First cycle of trying again 5m later - twins. Am clearly very lucky in the fertility stakes but you always need to be prepared for it to take time, especially later on in your reproductive life. Fingers crossed for a BFP for you

Christelle2207 · 18/05/2015 09:12

Yea. Literally had sex once.
It took nearly two years for dc1 thoShock

CityDweller · 18/05/2015 10:46

First cycle of 'properly trying' (i.e. having sex at the right time of month) for both. I was expecting DC2 to take much longer, as I was older (39) and stressed and knackered, but nope.

sianihedgehog · 18/05/2015 11:25

Literally got pregnant on the first and only shag in the cycle first time, had a miscarriage, and then got pregnant on the first and only shag in the first cycle after it! I'm in my late 30s and was not expecting it to be that easy.

Handsupbabyhandsup · 18/05/2015 11:28

Yip - with twins!

fatballerina · 18/05/2015 11:31

First try with both-quite surprised!
