Are Aldi nappies really that good?

I keep seeing good reviews for aldi nappies and wipes. Can't believe how cheap they are compared to pampers etc.

My best friend prefers them to named brands. She said she had less leaks with them.

flanjabelle · 04/04/2015 16:07

Yep. They are the best I have used on dd.

Hellohellohowareyou · 04/04/2015 16:08

I would say they are on par with pampers, we use them all the time

Kim82 · 04/04/2015 16:11

After 4 kids I've used more than my fair share of nappies and I've definitely found aldi the best. I've used them from birth with my youngest and they have never leaked and she's never had a problem with nappy rash. Definite value for money.

Bippidee · 04/04/2015 16:21

They are brilliant! They don't smell funny like pampers can do, they are great overnight and they are not bulky either.

afreshstartplease · 04/04/2015 16:22

They give my dc a rash!

Crownjewel · 04/04/2015 16:24

Might not be very helpful as I've never tried the Aldi ones, but thought I'd mention that I've found the Morrisons own-brand ones to be much better than Pampers (and about half the price).

TheWhiteRoad · 04/04/2015 16:24

I quite liked them for my DCs. I found them fine as a day nappy but not quite absorbent enough for overnight. So I used Aldi nappies in the daytime and Pampers Babydry at night.

hagred · 04/04/2015 17:07

I really liked aldi nappies when DS was little and getting changed regularly through the day (5+ times a day), but when he got older and was getting less dirty nappies I moved to pampers as they stay dryer longer meaning that they were able to last longer without changing.

JamesAndTheGiantBanana · 04/04/2015 17:09

There's nothing better than pampers, I do buy Aldi nappies when I'm skint but I do find they leak.

purplecloud123 · 04/04/2015 17:11

They gave my DS a rash too.

trilbydoll · 04/04/2015 17:12

I like Sainsburys / Morrisons - they're usually on offer to bring them to around 10p / nappy which I think is similar to Aldi?

ilovelamp82 · 04/04/2015 17:12

Yep. Best ones for my boys. I would buy them even if they were more expensive than Pampers.

TelephoneEggGnawingMachine · 04/04/2015 17:12

They aren't as good as Pampers IMHO, but they are amazing for the price! Like a pp, we found that they sometimes leaked overnight, so used Pampers at night & Aldi for daytime.

LadyDeadpool · 04/04/2015 17:19

Morrisons ones are my favourite 2 packs for £8 too so cheaper than Aldi.

Missymum6 · 04/04/2015 17:20

Havent used Aldis but lidls are very good. Those and tescos are the only 2 my little chunk doesn't leak in x pampers are ok for daytime for us but no good for long periods like night times

littlejessie · 04/04/2015 17:22

Yes- just took part in a product test and they are ace.

mumxof3x · 04/04/2015 19:00

I tried every nappy going for my DC's as they have all drank so much through night and I found with mine I changed them much less overnight with aldi nappys then any other. Price is fab too, I get a big box about 78 nappys for 6.50 (or something like that) I have started stocking up on newborn ones too for my current pregnancy (1.50 a pack) I would definitely recommend them, but of course it is different for everyone.

Brilliant thanks. Think I'll give them a go!

I get staff discount on Pampers but still buy Aldi nappies and wipes. Just steer clear of Asda Smartprice wipes, they are rubbish.

puddleduck27 · 05/04/2015 20:50

have they changed recently? I brought some about 18 months ago and.found they leaked. a few friends found the same. Will give them.another go if they've improved? Grin

SmileAndNod · 05/04/2015 20:53

I'm on my third DC and just been given them to product test. They were fab! I'm just annoyed that I found out so late on (dd probably won't be in nappies too much longer). Hate to think of the money I would have saved on pampersShock

BlacknWhitePanda · 05/04/2015 20:58

I like the aldi ones, we also agreed with asdas little angels and, boots own although we did have to change overnight.
We use pampers overnight and others during the day.
Morrisons I found leaked all the time with DS's pooamis

Carrierpenguin · 06/04/2015 07:37

No.I've found Aldi nappies crap, the only good thing is the price. Pampers, Sainsbury own brand and Tesco are much better ime.
