I keep seeing good reviews for aldi nappies and wipes. Can't believe how cheap they are compared to pampers etc.

Haven't tried the Aldi ones but absolutely swear by the Lidls ones, and wipes. Brilliant quality and value.

I HATED pampers, they are awful. Now we only use pull ups at night, and i like lidl best for pull ups.
Ive used, and liked nappies from Aldi, lidl, sainsburys, and morrisons. For a while i liked wilkos own brand too.

I found them terrible for DS, loads of leaks but I know others who love them. We've found asda little angels to fit DS really well and don't leak overnight or else pampers.

I got tesco nappies once and clearly had a faulty batch. My ds weed, and it just poured through the nappy as if it were just underpants. Bizzarre. I got a refund.

GinAndSonic · 06/04/2015 07:45

Oh yeah, asdas were good too

Roseybee10 · 06/04/2015 09:08

I've just started using them and wouldn't go back! Was having leaks every nappies with pampers, Asda sbd Sainsburys!

I have leaks with these, poo seems to come up the back?? Doesn't seem as bad with tesco and preffered superdrug ones to pampers when he was tiny

They're not as soft as Pampers but other than that they're great, I bought a box in the last baby event and a few did split at the front and gel burst out but that was overnight and dd 1 sleeps 12-14 hours so they were very full.

Dd2 is 5 weeks old and I stocked up on Pampers because of the softness but they've leaked badly, not when there's only wee it's when she's pooed they don't seem to be able to absorb wee afterwards and so it all comes out around her legs. It's ok if I notice the poo as she does it but if it's left more than 20 minutes or so they leak.
We've been and bought Aldi ones today and are chucking the remaining Pampers away.

Love aldi nappies for the smaller sizes. We found the bigger sizes a bit pants though.

berrypicking · 07/04/2015 21:53

Aldi were great for us for a while but then ds starting leaking every night with them so we changed to pampers active fit which have been great. I am now pregnant with dc2 and will use Aldi again for the first few months as they were a great nappy for a while, so much cheaper too!

Topsyloulou · 07/04/2015 22:39

I've tried boots, pampers & Aldi & Aldi are by far the best for DS. We only get leaks when it's time to move up to the next size. It's also meant I've started doing my shopping in Aldi so I'm saving a fortune buying Aldi nappies.

docpeppa · 08/04/2015 12:57

I've found them great, we now use their pull up pants for my toddler when she's in bed at night and no leaks.

I used pampers for when she was newborn

sycamore54321 · 08/04/2015 17:13

Like a lot of others, I use Aldi during the day but definitely Pa, pers at night - the only time I tried Aldi at night, my baby was soajed right through the nappy, clothes and bedding within 5 hours. This has never happened with Pampers, even those miracle nights when he sleeps through, or the nightmare nights when he demands two 8oz bottles overnight.

Having said that, I do find Aldi by far the best of the cheapies and as I don't like leaving him unchanged more than 4 hours in the day at most, I never have a problem with them. If going on a car journey or somewhere I won't be checking him regularly, I do use a Pampers during the day though, as in my experience they deal with poo better if there is any risk ypu won't notice it right away.

So if I had the money, it would be Pampers 100% of the time but I am happy with my budget compromise.

On avoiding nappy rash, I have only ever used WaterWipes and never had so much as a moment of nappy rash even during difficult teething periods; all my friends who have used them or switched to them say the same. They are very expensive but 100% worth it in my opinion. So save on nappies, splash put onthe Water wipes!

Eminybob · 08/04/2015 17:18

I use them on my 9 mo, they are fine. They are not as soft as pampers but they don't leak and DS has never had nappy rash (don't know if this is anything to do with the nappies though). Plus they don't smell funny like pampers. Defo worth it.
I'm not a fan of the wipes though. When you try and pull one out the whole bloody packet comes out which is a pain when you're trying to do it one handed. I like the fact they have a plastic lid though.

Honeypot1 · 08/04/2015 17:40

They don't have that horrible chemical smell that pampers do, have never leaked & unlike pampers I've never had issues with the tabs either. Smart choice Grin
