I'm 6 weeks pregnant and it is going sooooo slow! Someone tell me it speeds up? I feel like I'm clock watching. Not only that but I feel like crap, no appetite, feeling sick all the time - please tell me it gets better than this? How are you ladies coping?!

I'm 26 weeks and it still feels very slow. I don't think I can remember not being pregnant!
However, the feeling crap does get better! I felt sick all the time up until about 13 weeks and then it went completely. Even if your appetite is low I would try eating little and often. It helped me a lot! Also the tiredness went around the same time... but seems to be returning now :-(

Gemzybelle · 01/03/2015 12:13

I have found with this pregnancy it has gone much quicker than I realised. Before you know it you will be in third trimester - THATS when it really starts dragging (silently sobs) Grin

Guyropes · 01/03/2015 12:15

It all feels more real when you start showing, and feeling movement, I think. So another couple of months!

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 12:16

OMG I would kill to be in the third trimester! The thought of another 32 weeks or more is killing me right now! I'm living on crackers and strawberries, I miss my appetite!

I think second trimester goes really quickly. First you feel exhausted and sick and you can't tell anyone, third you are uncomfortable and counting down the weeks!

Tigger31 · 01/03/2015 12:43

Congrat's Ladypug!!! Flowers

I've jst passed 9 weeks and can totally understand your post: the last few weeks have been pretty grim to say the least. I've never felt so pathetic!

Starting to feel a bit more human now - so I hope the same happens for you, (although - sorry to say - still nauseous and disgusted by/obsessed with food in equal measure...)
I keep reading posts by mums who are further along & thinking "ooh I can't wait for the NEXT lot of feeling like shit" : a change is as good as a rest?! Hmm

Oh yeah and the weird food things... I'm jst entering a tangerine diet apparently ha, after last week where only lemon yoghurt would stay down.

There was one night in particular where only the smell of a lemon stopped me wanting to vomit: I slept with an actual lemon held to my face! WTF!

Hoping I get less weird as things progress...! Blush

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 12:49

Haha Tigger31 you really made me giggle, I feel loads better hearing I'm not alone! Of course, I haven't told anyone still so I don't know how I'm going to face March at work, I need this month over as soon as possible! All I want right now is a chicken pasty! lol

Glad to hear second trimester goes quick Gunpowder I just want to get into third trimester ASAP, turns out I don't like being pregnant but it will all be worth it in the end!

Yeh, sorry, it does go slowly! I'm 32 weeks and feel like I'm going to be pregnant FOREVER.

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 12:56

Hahahaha noooooooo!

37+3... It does not speed up though does start to seem more real which really helps. That was around 26 weeks for me... It is all worth it though - hang in there!

Also sickness, tiredness etc comes and fits and spurts - 1st trindefinitely the worst from that perspective.

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 13:05

Phew, ok just got to get out of the first trimester! X

Tigger31 · 01/03/2015 13:20

I reckon that's part of what makes it so yukky: you can't tell anyone when you could most do with a bit of tlc!

My super supportive partner's fave new phrase is "man up" - I can't promise that HE will survive the first trimester...!

Siarie · 01/03/2015 13:22

The first trimester dragged, second trimester flew by and I'm 32 weeks tomorrow. Some weeks feel fast others slow, I'm huge now so it's getting uncomfortable.

Ladypug · 01/03/2015 13:26

OMG that made me laugh! If my DH told me to man up I think I'd kill him! Sounds like the second trimester is way better and moves faster so just got to hope that gets here soon!

Every single day on turtle speed here. 18 weeks today. No idea what everyone's talking about time flying etc, that's bullshit. Time has stopped!! Me too barely remember myself not pregnant and it feels like having yummy food like pink steak and other forbidden stuff along with wine was in previous life. And I wasn't even sick in my first trimester. I gotta say, not a happy preggo here and I'd love to punch someone in the face. Sad

applecore0317 · 01/03/2015 14:39

It does go slow, but when I look back at the last 24ish weeks since I found out I kind of realise how quickly its gone :) 27+4

Tigger31 · 01/03/2015 14:58

SueV14 - aww don't tell me I'm going to start missing wine!! I'm taking solace in the fact I couldn't stomach it right now...

Sorry you're having a rubbish time of it - hopefully there will be a point where it becomes at least bearable for you. That, or you'll get to do the punching bit & get away with it cos, y'know, you're preggo _

SauvignonSash · 01/03/2015 15:36

21+3 and it's and dragging and draaaaaaagging! Just want to meet her now BORED!

WindyAway · 01/03/2015 15:41

I think your first pregnancy drags as you just want to meet your baby and get all the 'fun' stuff happening like looking pregnant, not fat, and feeling movement etc. Subsequent pregnancies fly by as you're so busy with no 1. I'm 20 weeks and it's gone quite quickly as I'm not really counting. Second trimesters quite nice as hopefully sickness has gone, and you're not too big that you can't move/sleep. Third trimester is not fun and if you go overdue it's the longest week/s of your life!

CBo79 · 01/03/2015 15:47

24 weeks here, and yes, I also feel like I've been pregnant forever. Although some weeks are better than others. Agree that first trimester dragged, but the second is going in faster, and now baby is moving regularly, that does help. I am counting the weeks though...but then I get scared about what lies beyond!

SueV14 · 01/03/2015 16:34

Tigger, oh bless you! Thank you so much for your words of support. Really needed some. DH is travelling until Tue, I've had a very stressful week (incl. agents and strangers wandering around my flat as the landlord has decided to sell + we have to move!) and being on my own these few days I miss my friends so much who I left back home when I moved to London 5 years ago. So it all came together and I even cried a bit thinking of all this and my varnishing waistline. But a good sob did me well, feeling a bit better now.

As for the wine, you're lucky you feel the aversion! I am a wine and food blogger and it suck for me. However the last two days I feel rather like downing a double scotch, straight up. Want it to go straight up my head rather than enjoying sipping smth. Grin

blowinahoolie · 01/03/2015 16:37

I am 15 weeks soon and it's going fast as I've two DC to look after each day. The days are just flying in!

SueV14 · 01/03/2015 16:37

I stuck my nose in the neck of a Balvenie bottle and took a few deep sniffs yesterday. Grin Was a great moment but straight back to sad a second later...

Well it sounds like the first trimester is the worst so the sooner that's over the better! X
