I'm 6 weeks pregnant and it is going sooooo slow! Someone tell me it speeds up? I feel like I'm clock watching. Not only that but I feel like crap, no appetite, feeling sick all the time - please tell me it gets better than this? How are you ladies coping?!

The thought of whisky is literally making me gip. Uuuuurgh. Not a chance.

Feel your pain re: food blogging though. I'm a baker. Currently the smell of baking is NOT an enjoyable one...! Never thought I'd say that!

OMG I'm so lucky I don't work with food. The other day in the staff kitchen I could smell EVERYTHING - all at once. Had to leave the room instantly. I can also smell every single perfume every woman is wearing, from metres away! x

Just passed the 5wk mark and today mentioned to DH that I've only known I'm pregnant for a week, we both said it feels like so much longer! 7 more weeks to go til we can tell people.... I'm sure it will go quick enough, but feels like soooo long. Not had proper sickness yet, but I feel sick if I'm hungry. The thought and smell of making/eating food makes me feel pretty yucky, but I feel much better once I've eaten. And I want alcohol :'( 8 months of pregnancy then however many months of breastfeeding..... will I ever be allowed to drink again?!!

Those first few weeks really dragged for me. I felt horribly sick constantly, exhausted. Had to eat though, it did help the sickness, but didn't really fancy anything. Was just.....waiting and crying a lot! (v.emotional at that stage for some reason!) since then though, its been a blur. 18 + 1 now and its flown by since 11 wks. Still tired, not exhausted though and the sickness has gone!!

I am missing wine though......

lol don't speak too soon ladypug the second trimester was worse than the first for me.

Topsyloulou · 01/03/2015 21:53

The first few weeks go so slowly & then there is a rush of activity between 12 & 20 weeks with scans, midwife, heartbeat heard, movement felt etc. The second trimester flew by for me, still lots of energy so trying to get everything done. The third one flew by until I stopped work & then time seemed to stand still. Didn't help that DS was 2 weeks late.

geme it's soo sooo incredibly difficult but totally normal! I found saying to myself 'today I am pregnant' really helped. You canmt do anything at this stage and 'today you are pregnant' so try to enjoy it and keep this mantra in your head.

I was just like you.

I am now 37+4

I'm 19+4. I feel like I've been pregnant forever and it's been winter forever. We got MORE snow this weekend, argh.

The nausea is mostly gone for me, replaced by being hungry all the time. I'm not as tired as I was, but I'm still more tired than normal.

Sparrowlegs248 · 02/03/2015 19:08

M33r ooh so close!! Hello, nice to see 'old' faces. :-)

Baby just moved again! Started last weekend, just little flips but its unmistakable.

Re worrying - I can't help with that. I have found it increases before a scan or appointment. I have my 20 wks scan next week so am worrying myself silly now. I took reassurance from the sickness, tiredness, sore books and now the movements. Fx all will be well.

If anybody tells you to "man up", kick him in the balls. Then tell him to man up when he starts crying.
