38 weeks tmw. last week the Midwife implied that baby was ready to go any time. I wish she hadn't - now I can't think of anything else other than every little twinge etc.
Anyone else in the same boat want to share their impatientness (is that even a word) to help get through the next few weeks (or hopefully days)!!!

I'm 37+1 with dc3 and am just keep thinking I have up to 5 weeks left which I think helps make me less impatient.

BumpOct2014 · 23/10/2014 16:13

I'm very impatient lol
39+3 and no sign of baby wanting to make a move yet.

Bellyrub1980 · 23/10/2014 16:16

I'm 39+4 and feel the same. Even though I'm not at my due date (and 80% of first time mums go over) the fact that it's so close and could feasibly happen any time now just increases the anticipation. I'm analysing every twinge and symptom possible!!

I also can't help but think about the fact that with each day the baby gets a little bit bigger... I must admit I'm getting more and more nervous about the labour itself.

ElleOhElle · 23/10/2014 16:17

I keep telling myself that I've got another few weeks but it's not working!!! I'd be quite happy to go into labour anytime - baby is expected to be a good size! every twinge or back ache or little pain is driving me mad.

I am now 41 weeks with dc 2. its bloody dragging. its even later than dc1.

bronya · 23/10/2014 16:50

40+1 - bored of waiting, at least there is an end in sight now!

purplemunkey · 23/10/2014 16:51

I'm 39 +4 and really hoping for baby to come in the next few days. Unfortunately pretty much everyone I know was overdue with their first baby so I think it's more than likely I'll be the same (80% probability you say bellyrub? Boo!).

Third week of mat leave and I'm bored, heavy and tired. Come on baby!

hartmel · 23/10/2014 17:47

39+5 weeks and for two weeks ago when I was at my appt my doctor said he will not be surprised if baby arrived last weekend! Well she is still in my tummy! I have for two and half weeks now contractions every day and night. But cervix is stubborn and does not want to open.
I'm fed up! I have pelvic pain and apparently from the walk in doctor yesterday building up an infection!
Seeing my birth doctor tomorrow and I'm going to beg him to get this baby out!

I have a 13 month old son! And DH is staying home from work unpaid to help me with DS as I can't lift him that much I'm in pain in the last couple days!

Right now he is downstairs and I'm in bed because I'm so grumpy and in pain that I told him I need space because I'm scared that we will end up fighting today! Grin

Hi Elle, I think we were on a 2WW thread together!! Yes, it's definitely worse :) I'm 38+4 and been suffering with BH, rib and vagina ache for weeks now. I got excited at first but now know it's part of the slow build up.

On a positive note I'm making lovely dinners each night, which I'm unlikely to be able to enjoy for a while if DC2 has colic like the first. Can you think of anything like that you can do?

Bellyrub1980 · 23/10/2014 19:03

purplemonkey yeah those are the stats :( but hopefully we're in the 20% right?!!!

Both due on Sunday :)

ElleOhElle · 23/10/2014 19:30

Hi Muriel! yes we were Grin !!!

Hartmel that sounds rubbish - hopefully you'll have baby soon!!

Getting so many niggles, twinges and aches surely that means things are getting ready (for a slow and tedious build up no doubt)??!! Confused

OP posts:
urterriblemuriel · 23/10/2014 19:30

I've never heard that percentage split before but my first was 5 days early and I recently know of two first time mums who were a bit early too, so it can happen!! :)

ElleOhElle · 24/10/2014 17:08

Feeling a bit tight across abdomen - guessing it's probably just mild Braxton hicks but secretly hoping it's the start of something??

OP posts:
urterriblemuriel · 24/10/2014 18:14

It may be either but time will tell... more waiting I'm afraid. Keep us posted!

Bellyrub1980 · 24/10/2014 19:29

I'm getting loads of Braxton Hicks nowadays. Esp from 6pm (or whenever I have dinner) and then all through the night. It's like a cruel joke! They are usually accompanied by huge amounts of baby wriggling.

You'd think I'd learn to ignore them but nope!! Still think it might be the early signs of labour starting every single time!!

Now wondering if I'll go over the whole 2 weeks!!

ElleOhElle · 24/10/2014 20:11

I had an encouraging pain in my lower back earlier and a few more Braxton hicks but all stopped now Sad one of has to be lucky soon!!

Bellyrub1980 · 24/10/2014 21:49

I'm a bit fed up with trying all the natural ways to induce labour now. All seems a bit futile. Given up already and my due date isn't even until this Sunday!!

purplemunkey · 24/10/2014 22:42

That's fun that we have the same due date bellyrub! Nothing happening yet but sane as others - lots of braxton hicks, belly tightening & strong baby movements. I've got a sweep booked on Tues so hopefully if it hasn't happened by then that'll give it a kick start, really don't think I could take another two weeks of waiting! Good luck all :)

hartmel · 25/10/2014 02:07

Had a sweep Friday afternoon! Cervix was 2 cm open. Hoping that it will progress now! Had since then cramps every 4-5 min but still not the real ones!

I'm seeing my midwife tomorrow but can't see her offering a sweep there and then. Might ask her to do one anyway!!

bronya · 25/10/2014 05:57

I'm quite relieved last night wasn't 'the' night - circumstances dictated that we'd have had no childcare last night or today. Any time from this evening onwards would be just fine though!! 40+3 now...

ElleOhElle · 25/10/2014 10:09

still loads of period pain type twinges. anytime now please baby!!!
hartmel that sounds good - keep us posted!!

Right I'm off the scrub the floors - at least I'll have clean floors even if it doesn't get baby moving Grin

DC3 here and know i should be embracing these final couple of weeks as it will be the last time, but i am so uncomfortable right now. I feel like baby is pushing down something fierce on my old mini. Constantly aches even when sitting and trying to stand up is a joke. Still 2 weeks till my due date, but just want him/her to decide to come about now! (realising just how impatient i sound!)
