38 weeks tmw. last week the Midwife implied that baby was ready to go any time. I wish she hadn't - now I can't think of anything else other than every little twinge etc.
Anyone else in the same boat want to share their impatientness (is that even a word) to help get through the next few weeks (or hopefully days)!!!

I'm so impatient - I think it's cos I don't know what I'm having. last time I knew it was a girl so think this time waiting to find out is making the wait worse!! Grin

Same here - 38 weeks today and I've been saying and thinking "any day now" for what already seems like ages. My midwife suggested it could be early and I really latched on to that. My last baby (now 2) was a few days late and was induced and I don't want a repeat of that. Good idea to make a nice dinner each night with leftovers that can be put in the freezer - will try to focus on that. Other than that I'm trying to do a preg. yoga DVD each day and go for a walk. I have a midwife appointment on Tuesday - can I ask for a sweep when I turn up??

Ok so today I have period pain and my back aches from my bra strap down. This is new for me and I'm due tomorrow!! It's not coming in waves and definitely no contractions, but OBVIOUSLY I'm thinking this is a sign and contractions must be just around the corner!!!

I'll keep dreaming

HotMommy, the rules seem to be different in different areas. In some they will offer you a sweep at 40 weeks, some at 41 weeks, some depend on whether this is your first or not and some on general obstetric history and risk factors. There's no harm in asking I suppose. I guess it depends on whether you're dilated/softened/effaced enough for them to get a finger in there!! My midwife didn't even do an internal on my 38 week appointment! This is my first so I routinely have a 40w appointment but I see in my notes that 2nd+ time mums aren't routinely offered a 40 week one... But I expect this varies from area to area too!!

Basically, I have no idea!!

I'm due tomorrow and seeing my midwife tomorrow. I think I'll ask for one if she doesn't offer, but have a feeling I will need to wait till 41 weeks :(

I get a sweep next Wed, and will be booked for induction the week after. I keep telling myself that baby WILL be here in the next two weeks, so it's not that long to wait.

Fingers crossed for you bellyrub. I've got sweep booked for my due date but really hope baby will be here by then.
