DD1, DD2 and DS without properly trying. Have been ttc no. 4 since Jan tho

hana · 24/09/2006 23:52

dd1 - about 4 months
dd2 - about 3 months
dd3 - about 2 months

a trend there I think - but no more little ones for us!

snowleopard · 24/09/2006 23:56

8 months, I was 34 and was told the average was 9.

hunkermunker · 25/09/2006 00:11

Oooooh, Flossam!

DS1 - took a year and one cycle of clomid.

DS2 - think DH hung his trousers on the end of the bed and winked at me

lemonaid · 25/09/2006 00:15

3 months to get pg -- ended in m/c. Then another 7-8 months to get pg again.

jennifer29 · 25/09/2006 02:09

Good Question flossam, I'm trying as well for my 1st, almost 5 months and no luck so far!

jennifer29 · 25/09/2006 02:14

DrMalorytowers did you have symptoms that early? What were your early 1st symptoms?

jabberwocky · 25/09/2006 02:37

ds - 2nd month
this baby - 2nd month

dejags · 25/09/2006 04:03

DS1 - 14 months
DS2 - one month
D?3 - two months

agrimum · 25/09/2006 05:08

my first - due in 4 weeks, and took 2.5 years. In fact had given up really and gotten used to the idea of never having kids so was all a bit of a shock when I found out!

bubbaloo · 25/09/2006 08:04

Hi Flossam.

Ds took 7 years and this one took 1 month.

liath · 25/09/2006 08:09

dd - took 4 years

This one - no contraception used after dd born & conceived when she was 14 months old - wasn't "trying" as such, just not taking steps to prevent it IYSWIM.

trinityrhino · 25/09/2006 08:18

dd1 errm we weren't trying, happened in like 3 weeks

dd2 we were trying took 1 year, but to be fair dh was in a submarine for four months of that

dc3 weren't trying, fell pregnant when dd2 was 12 months about 4 months after AF returned since stopping bf

Tutter · 25/09/2006 08:21

it took 18 months of trying to get pg with ds. but we had 3 failed pgs in that time - 1 ep and 2 mcs - so 4 pgs in 18 months.

katierocket · 25/09/2006 08:24

DS - first time of trying
pregnant now - took 2 years and course of IVF (unexplained infertility)

Flossam · 25/09/2006 19:09

Sorry GN - didn't realise, didn't mean to be tackless.

I'm not actually enjoying the whole thing - I thought DP would be chomping at the bit but says he feels he is product not a person. So I think perhaps I am being a little over zealous poor soul. Today I fell down the stairs top to bottom (big big ow) so if any little potential cells were to survive that I would be incredibly shocked.

'tactless'

foundintranslation · 25/09/2006 19:17

1st pg 2 cycles - mc
2nd pg 3 cycles - ds
3rd pg 1st cycle (not actually ttc as such) - mc
4th pg 1st cycle after mc - mc again
Now waiting to be able to try again.

Booboobedoo · 25/09/2006 19:25

Hi Flossam.

If you want to meet some fellow ttc obssessives, the conception boards are fantastic. I'm PG now, but found them a tremendous source of support.

Flossam · 25/09/2006 19:37

Thanks Booboobedo (love that name!) I have been hovering there, but am very much trying to keep it light hearted and not get too absorbed into it all yet IYSWIM. I will see how things go - but I do bear it in mind!

FIT - I saw your thread, how are you? Did you manage to enjoy the remainder of you hols at all? Sorry it happened - you mentioned to me you were worried it might.

It's OK Floss, it was 6 years ago now and all water under the bridge as I was lucky to have 2 sucessful pgs afterwards.

TTC can get a bit stressful can't it. I can't really advise there as I always got obsessive about it! The 3 times I did get pg though were months I really didn't think I would (for e.g. I thought the timing was wrong)! Hope you are not too sore after your fall BTW.

FIT I hope it works out for you.

girlygale1 · 25/09/2006 20:33

not sure what ttc is - but following on from another lady who sounds similar to me ...

fell straight away - then miscarried
then fell straight away 2nd month - miscarried
diagnosed with PCOS, no luck for a couple of months, perscribed Clomid - day I was meant to take it found out I was pg with dd (now 2 1/2).

Am 36 weeks pg now - took the risk once that month, not thinking anything of it and am due in 4 weeks!

Seriously don't understand how the body works!

Lizzylou · 25/09/2006 20:37

Both DS's were conceived in first month of trying, which was fantastic at the time but am always worried now until DH gets disarmed as deffo stopping at 2!

foundintranslation · 25/09/2006 20:48

I'm fairly OK now Floss - thanks for asking. Medical opinion seems to be that the 2 mcs were unrelated chance events so that gives me hope it will work next time.

foundintranslation · 25/09/2006 20:48

girly - ttc = trying to conceive
