How are you all doing ladies? Am thinking of you all (in a sick kind of way by hoping having sympathy means I won't go over myself lol)

caledonianclown · 29/03/2014 08:25

Woke up at 5am with overwhelming urge to scrub the kitchen floor. Is this finally nesting?? Might also do the bathroom while I'm at it, be a shame to waste the energy surge!

East1985 · 29/03/2014 08:29

Still very much overdue! Day 10 now and just had a clary sage bath so we will see if that takes effect soon.

I've resigned myself to having induction on Monday morning so two days left until I meet my LO.

I thought something may have happened yesterday as had tiny but of spotting and bump was uncomfortable all day, but nothing!!
Haven't slept great as just can't get comfy now. Just had upset tummy- I know it's sometimes a 'good' sign but not getting my hopes up. I too am resigned to induction. Such a shame it won't be in time for Mother's Day. Am also anticipating that induction won't necessarily mean a baby on Monday as I know it's sometimes a drawn out process, could our little ones be born on April Fools day?!?!

greentshirt · 29/03/2014 09:14

I've said for ages I think my baby will come at 38+5, which is actually april fools day. Not sure how good my mystic meg predictions are though!

Fingers crossed for all of you this weekend!

East1985 · 29/03/2014 09:18

I was hoping a Mother's Day delivery would be nice, but yes funnily enough I've been thinking April fools day!

Nice to know we are not alone anyway. Good luck, lets keep each other posted.

On the plus side, an April Fools day baby will have date of birth 1/4/14

East1985 · 29/03/2014 10:22

Very true...These babies will be well worth the wait in the end. They are just stubborn! Lol

I'm another overdue one! 40+6 now. pretty fed up of the back and pelvic pain but plodding on!

caledonianclown · 29/03/2014 17:47

Welcome K8eee

Went for a long walk in the sunshine this afternoon and now I'm having crampy tightening every 7 mins lasting for around 30 seconds, is this the start of something? Have got up and moved around and they're still coming, painful but can still talk through them. Trying really hard not to get my hopes up...

greentshirt · 29/03/2014 17:56

Oooh sounds good caledonian, get the clary sage open and start bouncing on your ball if you have one! Keep us updated!

K8eee · 29/03/2014 18:01

How exciting! I wish I could manage a walk but my pgp is giving me awful pain Sad probably doesn't help I've been lazy all afternoon and used my huge surge of energy yesterday Angry keep us updated!

Mummyk1982 · 29/03/2014 18:25

Oooooh, exciting caledonian :-)
I've been out shopping all afternoon- so heaps of walking. Occasional cramps but no regularity or length to them so not significant- probably just tiddles rearranging herself.
Have mades lots of plans for tomorrow so hoping that makes her come along!!

East1985 · 29/03/2014 19:40

I'm having lots of strong bh too! Lets hope labour starts tonight and we have our babies in our arms for Mother's Day tomorrow.

Have concluded that my discomfort was simply little lady fidgeting. She's been at it for hours, my bits feel like they're being ripped apart. Only discomfort is when she moves, otherwise no pains at all. Ho hum!

CristaBell · 29/03/2014 23:01

Good luck Caledonianclown sounds exciting, mothers day baby maybe :)

I'm a week over now and mw couldn't even do a sweep today as membrane still to thick :(

These babies are just to comfy x

Mummyk1982 · 30/03/2014 05:52

Urgh! Minimal sleep. Woke a couple if time, first time really bad tummy cramps- like needed bowels to work, went to the loo, loads of pressure but nothing. Got back to bed, managed to fall asleep with some discomfort, woke again 2 hours later in agony across bottom of bump, only just made it to bathroom- turned out to need biggest wee ever- pain resolved. Get back into bed, lower back ache, and lower bump ache - laid for an hour but too uncomfy. Now on sofa trying to get comfy upright. So tired!! Need sleep! And none of these pains are coming and going or spreading up my bump like i imagine labour pains do- I wouldn't mind so much then :-)

K8eee · 30/03/2014 10:05

Sorry to hear you had a rubbish night mummy k. must be something in the air as I too suffered last night. I think I managed 6 wees last night Angry am absolutely shattered with that waking me, being unable to get comfy, and I had to odd twinge but nothing like a contraction, oh and the clocks going back has made me mega tired

East1985 · 30/03/2014 10:48

Sounds like none of us had a great nights sleep. Oh well hopefully tomorrow is DDay which means one more uncomfortable night!

I can cope with sleepless nights from baby!

Happy Mother's Day to you all whether or not you have your LO's here already

CristaBell · 30/03/2014 11:15

Sorry to hear you've all had an uncomfortable night, I didn't sleep to bad but losing the hour from the clocks going forward wasn't needed.

Hope you all have a good day and lets hope today will be the day something will happen for us :) I've had a little bit of blood stained discharge (sorry for TMI) this morning but only a little bit.

x

caledonianclown · 30/03/2014 19:12

DD finally arrived at 2pm this afternoon, 24 hours after contractions started! The walk obviously did the trick. She was 10lb 2oz but managed to push her out with only gas and air and a tiny graze. She's asleep in my arms now and is the best Mother's Day present ever!

Good luck to everyone being induced tomorrow, I hope it goes well for you Thanks

East1985 · 30/03/2014 19:47

Wow congratulations. That's amazing news! It gives me hope that labour at least was a good experience.

K8eee · 30/03/2014 19:55

congrats Caledonia! Smile lovely news and perfect present for Mother's day Grin Thanks

Mummyk1982 · 30/03/2014 20:29

Huge congrats!!! Wow a ten pounder!! You did well :-)

I've been really uncomfy all day, some tightenings and a lot of sharp pains but no regularity. Really hope something happens over night. If not will be asking them tomorrow to stick the monitor on before doing anything to see if in having contractions, cos if I am I think I'll ask to postpone induction to give her chance to do her thing. I'm also struggling to sit down as it feels like I'm sitting on her head, and if I kind of sit lay down (difficult to describe) she kicks lots so I don't think she's comfy now either. Her movements last night and today are so forceful and painful- feels like she's really pushing down below.

How's everyone else getting on? I think I may have to go check my hospital bag as it was packed for a quick trip in to hospital to have a baby, not a potential say if a few days for induction!! Packed it so many weeks ago I have no recollection of what's in there!!!!!
Where's everyone going for their induction?

East1985 · 30/03/2014 21:13

My hospital is local (st helier) so I am sure my dh can come and get me some bits if I need to stay longer. I thought I'd be worried but I'm so ready for this now.

Apparently they are going to use a tampon with hormones which can take time but my cousin said her dd was born within 3 hrs so a success story at least.

My dd1 is away tonight so at least I'm feelin prepared!

Lets pray for a nice quick induction and hopefully the babies age not too big to push out! My dd1 was 8lb 2oz and they used forceps!
