Just wondered if, although am sure there are, other mums/mums-to-be on MN due in March? I'm due on 27th :) How are you all feeling?!

Due in the 7th and feeling very inpatient now. Was early with my 2 dcs so everyone keeps saying I'm going to be early this time,.,.,,.therefore I'm sure I will be overdue!

Spookey80 · 02/03/2014 17:54

*on not in.

Mummyk1982 · 02/03/2014 18:36

I was planning a home birth, now it has to be at hospital :-(

Pantomime · 02/03/2014 20:43

I am due on the 22nd of march, wishing baby could get here sooner!

IWantAnotherBaby · 02/03/2014 21:34

Due on 30th. Still 2 more weeks at work to go...

CrispyFB · 02/03/2014 21:55

I'm due 27th by ovulation date (100% sure due to temperature taking, BFP at 9dpo etc!) but the NHS is going by my 12 week scan date which puts me at the 23rd. For medical reasons I am having an ELCS at 38+3 which is 12th March! So not long to go at all.

This is DC4 - DC1 and DC2 both arrived before the gestation I am now, that's part of the reason for the early ELCS. It's 50/50 if I get there - monitoring every twinge. It's physically impossible for me to deliver naturally (an attempt could end, uh, badly) and with good traffic it's 30 minutes to the nearest hospital, so I'm hoping to make it to the 12th.

First time I've ever had a baby in my due date month - my other three were the month before!

JenJoWilson · 02/03/2014 22:57

I'm due with my third on 27th, hoping for a waterbirth at the hospital (having only given birth on "dry land"). Excited and nervous!! :)

Due on the 7th with my first. Hoping for a home birth, pool already inflated and having to dodge round it to get to the kitchen...!

CalltheMadwife · 02/03/2014 23:45

I'm going against 'guideline' as well with BMI of 37, I was due 1st March and have all the birth pool and home birth kit in a pile in my kitchen ready and waiting, just need this baby to engage and get going now!

Stevie77 · 03/03/2014 00:30

Due 23 March but have my section booked for 19th. I can't keep up with the antenatal club either, so many people there...

Sooooo tired and heavy compared with #1 pregnancy :(

Loopylouu · 03/03/2014 03:25

My section is booked for the 26th, but I have a feeling she will arrive a week or so earlier as ds did.

yummychocolate · 03/03/2014 04:10

Just wanted to say good luck to you all and hope you get to meet your babies soon. I was in your position this time last year now I have a nearly 1 yr old gorgeous ds sleeping in the next room. Smile

Hope you have a wonderful time with your babies, it goes so quick.

tertle · 03/03/2014 08:59

Due with my first on the 13th. Feeling impatient but apprehensive...! Good luck to everyone Smile.

Seff · 03/03/2014 09:16

I'm much more relaxed about "due" dates this time round. I know that anything from 37-42 weeks is classed as "term" and I'm just trying to enjoy the time I have left as a mum to one.

I'm also a lot more tired this time round, I'm not sure if that's pregnancy, having another one to look after, or if I'm just noticing it more because I can't spend all my time in bed this time!

Birth pool, home birth kit and a box of towels and other bits are piled up in the corner of our living room ready to go :)

However, the messages are already starting, and despite being yelled at told otherwise, even DH is counting down to EDD!

Hi all

I'm pregnant with my first child due on the 5th March. Bump finally dropped last week but I don't expect this one to be on time what with it being my first. Just hoping it doesn't go the full two weeks over as I am so uncomfortable already!

Got a sweep booked for Thursday and one for the 11th so hopefully one of them will get things moving!

Good luck to the rest of you and hope you're managing to get comfy if nothing else!

Pixielady83 · 03/03/2014 09:48

hi everyone! I was due yesterday. I was convinced I would already have a baby due to DD having been early. I am feeling a bit Angry

Being assessed for possible induction end of the week, if no go I will be booked in for a section next week. still hoping for a vbac...

good luck to all!

JenJoWilson · 03/03/2014 11:00

pixielady83 I went 8 days over with no.1 and 3 days over with no.2 and each day felt like a week!! The whole time you are pregnant you have that date in your head and when it comes and goes its sooo annoying!

I went to see midwife on Thurs, she said baby was extremely low and wouldn't be surprised if he/she makes an appearance a couple of weeks early. I am certainly not holding my breath though!

Anybody else have "poppy/cracky" pelvis at night? Every time I turn over (which is a struggle as it gets so painful) I hear all sorts of noises coming from my pelvis...!

When has everyone been offered a sweep for? It seems, just like induction talk, it's another thing that varies widely in each area. I've been told I can have one (if I want one, which I don't) after 41 weeks, but it sounds like some women get offered them much earlier.

I had my first in a different area, and was going to have a sweep at around 40+4 but the MW wouldn't do it in the end because she said the way DD was positioned, it wouldn't have done anything.

DD is out for the day, I'm doing minimal tidying and probably shouldn't be sat on my arse on here but never mind. I'm 3/4 of the way through an OU course, so should really crack on with that but I'm enjoying the peace and quiet before this baby arrives! I might even have a sleep later :)

Good luck for your vbac pixielady.

JenJoWilson · 03/03/2014 11:22

I was offered a sweep when I was 3 days over with my first baby and I live in Derbyshire :)

Hello, due 5th march with dc2.. Went into labour with dc1 at 38+3 so already feel overdue at 39+5. No signs of labour approaching.

Planning a homebirth in response to question up thread..

Pixielady83 · 03/03/2014 12:15

I'm thinking of asking for a sweep at my next mw appointment when I'll be 40+3. I don't know if they'll do it or not but thought it might be worth a try to get things going.

jen you're right every day does feel like a week! I've had pelvic problems throughout this and previous pregnancies so yes mine does make some strange noises too Grin they're under a lot of pressure now! I'm finding it near impossible to roll over in bed!

SaucyJack · 03/03/2014 12:38

I haven't seen a MW for three weeks- let alone been offered a sweep, but am assuming I'll be offered one and fucking better be or there'll be trouble on Wednesday when I'll be 41 weeks.

Least no-one can accuse BSUH of over-medicalising the birth process (!).

JenJoWilson · 04/03/2014 19:37

Who else has been watching OBEM with only a short while before they will be in hospital/at home doing what the screaming ladies are... I'm not going to lie, this is my third and I am shitting it more than I ever have with the other two!!

OP posts:
SloeGinFizz · 04/03/2014 21:20

So my sweep one day after due date seems really early then, perhaps I should just let nature take its course (...more likely if I weren't so impatient/uncomfortable!)

I watched One Born, love that show! It's not easy to watch sometimes but I just love that bit after the baby has been born when everyone seems so happy and everything is hushed. Not sure if it's like that in real life or just good editing but it's like seeing all the pain being made worthwhile.

Clearly I may change my mind after experiencing the actual event for myself!

CristaBell · 04/03/2014 23:08

Yes I've been watching OBEM I've never missed an episode, but I must admit while watching yesterdays show I did feel a bit twitchy for the first time... Not sure how I'm going to cope with the pain as not sure what I've got coming, I'm just hoping I can stay in control! X
