I'm due 1 week today.
This is my 3rd.
Ds was born on his due date. Dd was 3 days later.
With them both I had sore BHs. Huge amounts of discharge. Increased bowel movements. For a good couple of weeks before baby came.
This time. Nothing. No bh's at all. I haven't even needed to get up and pee in the night - ever.
I seen mw yesterday and babes head is engaged, and I'm measuring 41, but it certainly does not feel like I'm anywhere close to giving birth.

Me neither, prammy. Although I didn't have any symptoms last time either.

I really wanted him to come a little earlier to avoid a Christmas birthday. Smile I'm due on Thursday. Do you know what you are having?

PrammyMammy · 14/12/2013 18:59

Did it just spring on you last time then? I remember thinking my contractions had started a good 4 times over a couple of weeks when it was just bh.
Did you go over due last time?
Fingers crossed they don't stay in until Christmas day.
I don't know what we're having. Did you find out?

I'm due Tuesday and don't think baby will be arriving then either.... no signs at all! Boo!

Wishfulmakeupping · 14/12/2013 19:11

Have you both got festive names picked out in case :)

Showy · 14/12/2013 19:12

I went into labour both times with no signs at all. Just sudden waters breaking. A due date is just a guide for care. Babies come between 37 and 42 weeks generally and you're well into that window. Won't be long!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 14/12/2013 19:51

I had no symptoms at all then was induced the day before due date due to severe preeclampsia. She came on her due date.

Yes, we know we are having a boy so will have one of each. Smile

Names were chosen years ago so not Noel or Nicholas or Robin Grin

How are you feeling, prammy? I'm very comfortable, I just want him to be as far away from Christmas as he can be.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 14/12/2013 19:52

How are you feeling emmac?

tracypenisbeaker · 14/12/2013 20:40

Don't worry, you'll get there! I've had virtually no sign of baby coming, I'm 41+4 and getting induced tomorrow. I've had three failed sweeps because he wasn't engaged/ I wasn't dilated enough. Last sweep was meant to be yesterday. You wouldn't think that he was fully cooked! What has got me through it was deciding early on that my 'due date' was really two weeks after the real EDD to avoid disappointment because I just knew (knowing my luck, because nothing is ever plain sailing for me!) that he would be awkward and refuse to make an appearance on time. It's just Sod's law, isn't it?

If you clockwatch every minute then it will drag. Avoid clinging on to every twang or period pain sensation, or else you'll drive yourself crazy, brush it off. You will get there. Even if you have to be induced, he will be in your arms soon.

Remember, no baby was born at 10 months. Wink

PrammyMammy · 14/12/2013 21:17

We don't have a Christmas name either, in fact if we have a girl she's nameless. :(.
Ahh Tuesday is so soon. Come on little baby!
2 weeks after edd is great too. Any time, except the 25th please.
My dad was born the 23rd. I bet my nana went through the same thoughts 50 year ago.

Actually, Tracy, one of my students was born at 10 monthsConfused . Honestly. Not sure how it happened. His mum must have been off grid, so to speak, or something. True story.

I'm having very sharp pains at the bottom of my bump right nowHmm Not sure if they are significant though.

Stom91 · 14/12/2013 22:43

Hi just thought is pop in and say I'm due 21st too with my 1st DD - and I've got absolutely no signs at all. Not even BH I'm so desperate for her to be here before Xmas!!

I hope things starts happening for you soon OP

BlackholesAndRevelations · 15/12/2013 07:55

You haven't been up in the night for a wee? Ever?! Argh I'm so jealous!! I'm up 5 times every night!! I'm due Friday too and no signs at all. Fingers crossed we all drop this side of christmas!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 15/12/2013 07:56

Ps I was having lots of sore bh and period pains but that all stopped!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 15/12/2013 11:15

Just been seen by midwife. Apparently he's not even engaged Sad

Come on, baby!

emmac3616 · 15/12/2013 11:32

I am feeling OK - went to the gym and ran 5k on the treadmill this morning which is keeping me sane every day - very pleased i can still do all that, though the constant nausea is very wearing! tracypenisbeaker your advice yesterday re. "moving" your EDD back 2 weeks is the best ever. I have now decided my EDD is Tues+10 days, so the 27th and I already feel better - I have a few Christmas parties this week that I have booked hair appointments for now and am planning outfits etc. (hadn't done that before because I was 'tentative' about whether we could go) and I am planning stuff for my husband and I to do next weekend, and I feel MUCH better! THANK YOU!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 15/12/2013 12:49

Emmac, you did what?! Sheesh Shock Brilliant Grin

emmac3616 · 15/12/2013 13:05

Ha ha ha - to be honest going to the gym each day is the ONLY thing that has kept me sane for the duration of this pregnancy! I was very active beforehand so have managed to keep exercising each day, though clearly running slower and for less time. I feel very thankful that I've been able to do it, otherwise at this point I would be spinning out! :-) Thank you though!

PrammyMammy · 15/12/2013 14:52

You RAN 5K? Wow are you super woman? I can hardly waddle to the shop. Good for you lady.

I was up all night peeing with my other 2dc, but this time, not at all.

How are the bump pains now??

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 15/12/2013 15:48

They've gone now, prammy Sad. I think he was head butting my pelvis Grin

I couldn't run even before I had my babies Grin

I'm making mince pies with home made mince meat.

kimbaker1991 · 15/12/2013 23:15

I'm due Thursday, starting to feel like this baby might never come.... Maybe he's just a little too comfy ! Pleased to know I'm not alone though !

PrammyMammy · 15/12/2013 23:19

Making mince pies is more my thing than running too. Yum.

Aww he was just getting you excited. Do you drive? When baby moves when I'm driving it's really uncomfortable right down into my pelvis.

OP posts:
PrammyMammy · 15/12/2013 23:20

Kim, is this your first? Tuesday is so soon.

OP posts:
kimbaker1991 · 15/12/2013 23:29

Yes first. Ohhh I know that sharp pelvic pain its like he's bouncing his head off my cervix, takes my breath away! Mmmm mince pies think I might go raid my cupboards now ;)

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 16/12/2013 07:16

Hi Kim, you me on Thursday!

Prammy, I do drive but haven't noticed any pain when driving.

Hey, I wonder which of us will be the first to pop deliver? Grin

Artesia · 16/12/2013 07:20

Room for another on this thread? Was due last Wednesday, but starting to suspect i have the gestation period of an elephant- this child shows no signs of arriving any time soon. So frustrating, bt good to know am not the only one getting impatient and fed up!
