I'm due 1 week today.
This is my 3rd.
Ds was born on his due date. Dd was 3 days later.
With them both I had sore BHs. Huge amounts of discharge. Increased bowel movements. For a good couple of weeks before baby came.
This time. Nothing. No bh's at all. I haven't even needed to get up and pee in the night - ever.
I seen mw yesterday and babes head is engaged, and I'm measuring 41, but it certainly does not feel like I'm anywhere close to giving birth.

Hi Kitty ! It's nice to meet someone with the same due date ! Do you know what your having ? I hope we all pop before Christmas anyone else getting incredibly hormonal and cranky ? My poor dh I think he thinks he's living with a monster !

emmac3616 · 16/12/2013 09:15

mmmm mince pies!!! I think I'm going to make some too... did you buy the pastry? I am a hopeless cook / baker but LOVE mince pies!!! Think I'll go buy the pastry! :-)

Tiredemma · 16/12/2013 09:17

Prammy- I had DC3 in september. I had no signs at all that DD was about to arrive until 2am on the morning of her birth where i woke up having mild contractions.

I had her by EMCS at 11pm that night.

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 16/12/2013 12:09

No Emma, I made a sweet, shortcrust pastry. As I said down thread, I make my own mince meat too. I make it in January so it's sat for at least a year. I make almost everything. But then again I'm not regularly running 5k Grin

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 16/12/2013 12:13

Hi Kim, we are having a boyGrin We will have one of each then. Do you know what you are having?

I'm not at all uncomfortable and not irritable unless I've not had enough sleep, but then I can turn into a hellcat!

Emma. let me know how your mincies turn out...clotted cream?

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 16/12/2013 12:15

Sorry, Artesia Smile. Hi. gosh, I bet you thought yours would be well out by Christmas. Are they talking about intervening yet?

emmac3616 · 17/12/2013 09:05

Just been to my 40 week midwife apt... pretty uninspiring... they won't induce until 41+5!!! 12 more days!!! Booooo

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 17/12/2013 12:41

Oh EmmaSad Sorry about that. Have a mince pie Grin

It had gone so quiet I thought everyone had gone into labour apart from me Smile

emmac3616 · 17/12/2013 13:45

Ha ha ha - no such luck! Mince pies are DEFINITELY helping!!! :-)

On the up side, the midwife did say that induction was very much a last resort and she hoped it wouldn't come to that - that only 1 in 5 of their women end up with induction and that baby would probably come before then... guess its good to have a date in mind!

How are you feeling?

PrammyMammy · 18/12/2013 15:47

How are we all today?
I'm booked in for a sweep on Monday - I've lost mucus plug today though. So I hope I won't need my sweep.
Any babies yet?

Hi. I've been having period pain and back ache for 24 hours now. Shock Grin

Was it obvious when you lost your plug, prammy, or something which could be missed? I've didn't have any of the usual steps last time so feel like a first timer, really.

Glad mincies are hitting the spot, Emma!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 19/12/2013 09:45

Kim, today's our day Grin Grin

Come on babykim Thanks Smile

Artesia · 19/12/2013 09:47

Am booked in for induction for Sunday, but had proper (ie not BH) contractions on and off for a couple of days now so hoping things will start before then. Is just so frustrating- will have 3-4 regular painful contractions, then nothing for half an hour or so, there is no pattern to it at all. DH keeps looking at me as if am an unexploded bomb, saying nervously "is it happening".....!!

Hope others are having some progress now?

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 19/12/2013 10:34

Grin to your husband, Artesia. Sounds exciting in your house.

So how can you tell the difference between Braxton's and real? I didn't have any contractions last time so genuinely don't know what I'm looking for. Do my waters have to break first? Should be asking my midwife these questions I know Smile

Artesia · 19/12/2013 10:47

For me, BH just felt tight all over my bump, whereas these are painful, and start really low down then spread up and outwards if that makes sense?

Waters not broken - with DS they didn't go until just before he was born all over the poor doctor who was head down examining me at the time. For some reason I expect the same this time, so will be shocked if I get a sudden gush before then!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 19/12/2013 10:54

Ha ha, great story, Artesia Grin

Thanks for the description too. I wonder if I'll have any true contractions then this time...

Please keep us informed if you can. You might be the first of the lot of us Grin

Good luck

PrammyMammy · 19/12/2013 19:48

It was obvious yeah. It was like a tangerine made from orange jelly. Lovely.
Nothing else happened though, NOTHING! Confused

It's obviously way too cold for these babies to come out.

Artesia · 20/12/2013 03:36

Thanks Kitty.

Quick update- not quick progress but regular contractions(roughly every 8-10 mins) all day, and not stopped when I went to bed this time. Just had a show, and contractions picking up a bit, so hopefully we are underway now. Watch this space, and fingers crossed the rest of you get going soon!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/12/2013 06:19

Oh Artesia !Shock Smile You might be snuggling a little bundle eight now! Very good luck, let us know when you can Smile

Prammy, eww Shock Grin excellent description Grin Wink I'll not miss that then!

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/12/2013 08:34

Erm, I meant right now. Not eight bundles Wink

Artesia · 20/12/2013 14:22

Thanks Kitty. Alas, no such luck- things seem to have stalled again. Am so frustrated, and shattered now, so hoping to at least get some sleep, and that things start up again soon. Honestly feel as if this baby will never arrive....

KittyAndTheFontanelles · 20/12/2013 23:05

Me too. My back ache and period pain has gone too. It'll be Christmas day, I know it!
