First try after 10 years on the pill. MMC discovered at 12 week scan. Conceived again 2 months later. Baby born healthy at 37 weeks. (I was 34)

When TTC DC2, conceived first time again. Miscarried at 7 weeks. Then conceived again 2 months later. Baby born healthy at 37+2. (I was 36)

Smerlin · 15/08/2013 14:21

3 weeks- we were very surprised at how easy it was, esp as I had been on the pill for over a decade prior to that!

MrsPatMustard · 15/08/2013 14:31

3 weeks. Am 39 and DH is 40 - so the speedy conception was something of a surprise.

PinkApple86 · 15/08/2013 14:59

second month off the pill

keepitgoing · 15/08/2013 15:00

Almost 2 years. And ivf.

YorkshireTeaDrinker · 15/08/2013 15:05

DC1 16 months, second pregnancy 23 months, just miscarried. Hope it will be much quicker for 3rd conception.

MissAntithetic · 15/08/2013 15:08

3 years in total.

1.5 years of not using contraception but not actively trying. 1.5 years of trying

BurbGirl2013 · 15/08/2013 15:11

4 Months for us

mistlethrush · 15/08/2013 15:13

4 yrs - but things went wrong, followed by a year of being ill, year not allowed to ttc - then another 5 months...

coffeewineandchocolate · 15/08/2013 15:18

a long weekend away with too much wine and no caution ;-)

Londongirl84 · 15/08/2013 15:32

What an amazing mixed bag. It took us 7 months and IVF so I consider myself to be on the lucky side as there are people who have had many years of pain and anguish. Amazing how something can be so simple for some and so tricky for others... The end result is always the same though :)

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 15/08/2013 16:35

Chilli81 · 15/08/2013 16:37

2 months 1st time (but ended up miscarrying)
then 8 months with DC1
1 month with DS2

Rollermum · 15/08/2013 17:29

Not TTC, just a night of lacking caution! So surprised because have thyroid problem and been paranoid about fertility for years.

Lucyadams184 · 15/08/2013 17:45

My son took 2 months and my daughter wasn't planned when I fell pregnant she should have been about a year later although having 14 months between them is great now that they are older.

Dogsmom · 15/08/2013 18:09

3 years, was 37 when I conceived.
I'm sure it was down to my weight, I decided to do a low carb diet, lost 50lbs in 3 months and was pregnant soon after.

YouAreMyRain · 15/08/2013 18:11

12 years, plenty of investigations that found nothing wrong with either of us, two adopted dc and finally divorce, a new DP - bingo!!

BunInMyOven93 · 15/08/2013 18:15

8 months after being on cerazette for 3 years :)

LateBear · 15/08/2013 18:49

4 years. Was diagnosed with PCOS so had 6 rounds of clomid that didn't work. Surprise natural conception in the end :)

Daffodill27 · 15/08/2013 19:22

2 cycles :) I used an app on my phone too tells you when you are ovulating :)

Feminine · 15/08/2013 19:41

One go for first child
one go for second
one go for third.

We were very lucky.

I was 26, 31, and 37. DH was 39 -43 - and 50! Shock

Timpani · 15/08/2013 19:45

Two years. We were lucky. Our IVF worked at the first go otherwise it could have taken much longer. Didn't suspect a problem for the first 12 months of trying (both young in 20s, healthy etc.). Number 2, however was a natural surprise whilst BF number 1...!
