i had a baby in february.
after the lochia setelled i had a normal period.
but last month the period came 3 days earlier,it was just spots of brown mucus.
yet i counted 27 days for my next one.
i have sex almost every day and surprisingly i found that i was wrong in counting for my ovulation and i`m now terrified that i might be pregnant again.
any support or advice?

I'm not suprised you are back in a size 10 if you have daily sex!!
Have a word with your gp about contraception.
I got pregnant while using persona for contraception, so wouldn't reccomend that method!

jomana · 08/05/2006 13:19

anyone tried coil? is it painful?
after birth i don`t think i can cope with pain anymore!

I tried coil and got pregnant with that, I wouldn't recommend it but some say its effective.

jomana · 08/05/2006 13:26

im still very confused cause no method is 100 percent effective
crazy: did it hurt when they put the coil?

throckenholt · 08/05/2006 13:32

the only method that is 100% effective is to abstain Sad

crazydazy · 08/05/2006 13:32

A little uncomfortable but no worse than having a smear I would say.

It was worse when they wanted to remove it when I was 8 weeks pregnant and told me I could miscarry Sad thankfully I didn't.

jomana · 08/05/2006 13:44

i had smears beforeand they were fine.
im really confused now may be because i just need to be reasured that im not pregnant. i`ll do a test for now, avoid any more sex untill i figure what to use

the persona was discredited a long time ago as an aid to contraception..it is now commonly used as an aid to conception

I really don't mean to be rude, but how anyone can have a 3 month old baby and be having sex every day and not think more carefully about pregnancy is beyond me. You need to take care of contraception and sort yourself out.
I can't stand it when people carry on as though they don't know what causes pregnancy.

If you didn't want to get pregnant, you should have sorted out contraception first.

LucyJones · 08/05/2006 13:51

why do you find condoms uncomfortable? there are lubricatns you can use to make it easier. I'm shocked you thought pills might make you infertile!

jomana · 08/05/2006 13:54

i read that in somecases a woman who takes bills and tries to have babies again it takes her alot of time to get pregnant even if she had no problem the first time

OP posts:
LucyJones · 08/05/2006 13:55

why do you keep calling 'pills' 'bills'?!!!

HappyMumof2 · 08/05/2006 13:56

the pill doesn't make you infertile. It can sometimes take a while for your cycle to get back to normal again - that's all, just like with pregnancy. It's not a permanent thing.....

jomana · 08/05/2006 13:56

happymom
you`re absolutely right
i just was counting and thought it would work but periods became strange and irregular
