Hiya, just wondered if theres anyone like me whose 9 weeks expecting baby number 4?I am excited, anxious, nauseas and knackered! This wait for a scan has been excruciating. Keep thinking what if I've got it wrong! Am gonna look like a right idiot!Having baby number 4 was a huge decision for us but decided it was what we both wanted and didn't take long at all which surprised me as I am 40 now.Havent told other boys yet as waiting for good news at scan first, but so looking forward to it. At the moment, each day consists of a count down to when I can put my PJ's on again!Feel like I am in hibernation!anyone out there to share tales and experiences so far?

I'm so sorry it wasn't a clear cut scan with a obviously fantastic outcome. But there is still hope - they didn't say there was nothing there or that it was definitely not going to grow.

Is there any friends/family that you can count on to take your mind off the upcoming scan (well I know they won't fully succeed but even 5 mins respite from worrying would help I guess).

At least they saw a flutter

All gone quiet again.... How are you bumasbigasabump?

I have been through the mill - chest infection and fever followed by another virus a week later which has had me in bed shaking uncontrollably and temp all over the place. Completely paranoid now as I know fever in first trimester is associated with birth defects.
Sad
Hoping to feel there is a bloom at the end of the tunnel somewhere!
How is everyone else?

TruthSweet · 06/03/2012 17:55

Sorry you've not been well Bear - I seem to catch everything going at the mo too (had 2 chest infections in Feb alone!).

I had my booking in today and I have a meeting with a prospective doula tomorrow so it's all gearing up now.

Hope everyone else is doing okay

Bearhugs43 · 07/03/2012 09:22

Hope your meeting with the doula went well Truth. I am a doula - got 3 births coming up before I'm 20 wks! It's an incredible privilege Smile I love doing it.

Feeling bit better now- just constant nausea which is very debilitating Sad

Come on bloom..... !

Hello ladies mind if I join you? dc4 on its way here too and it is lovely to see there is plenty others. Non pregnancy related but has anyone thought about upgrading the seat capacity in their car...Its just occurred to me that we wont all fit anymore. but Im only 5 wks along so plenty of time

TruthSweet · 07/03/2012 13:59

Donna - DH has just bought a VW Caddy Maxi Life (7 seater van conversion with the holy grail - a BOOT). It's fab I really recommend it (not that I can drive but it's great from a passenger point of view. DH is 6'2" and can sit in all the seats even the back row (though it's a bit of a squeeze in the back row) and it has two ISOFix seats too.

DonnaDoon · 07/03/2012 14:01

Oooh thanks Truth Ill check it out

TruthSweet · 07/03/2012 14:56

We looked at Quashqui +2 (crap the children were the crumble zone as their heads would have been about an 1" from the boot window in an accident), touran (bit better but no boot to speak of really), S-Max (our next choice as it had a bit of a boot but DH said no as if I needed picking up with the pushchair we would have had to abandon the pushchair if DH had his workgear in the car).

Caddy was the best

DonnaDoon · 07/03/2012 15:33

You ve been ever so helpful ta x

TruthSweet · 07/03/2012 16:00

Crumple zone not crumble zone - can I blame baby brain?

Bearhugs43 · 07/03/2012 19:15

Hi Donna

We've got a Renault grand scenic which is great too- more boot space with seats up than the zafira we had before . Congrats on dc4 Smile

DonnaDoon · 07/03/2012 19:20

Thanks Bear

Yorky · 07/03/2012 19:43

We grew out of our zafira when dc3 arrived as you can't get 3 seats across the middle and because it's a bench seat it's a pain getting to the seats in the boot, not to mention not fitting the buggy behind both back seats. We got an Espace and loved being able to remove seats individually, that had the grace to die at the right time financially so we replaced it with a grand Espace which is roomier and very comfy, but an undeniable bus!
