Hiya I'm 28 weeks and since becoming pregnant hardly ever feel hungry! I'm worried my baby isn't getting enough food - don't think I'm getting 2,000 calories some days let alone an extra 2-300! If my body needed more do you think I'd start getting hungry? I'm forcing myself to get meals in at the moment :( it's unlike me I'm someone who loves my food - and lots of it lol.
My BMI was normal to start with - iv put on a stone and at last appointment my measurements were all fine - so baby is growing well but i don't want him to be hungry or go without!
What have you eaten today - yep I want your food diaries so I can get a rough idea if I need to try fit more food in, or perhaps I just ate too much pre pregnancy and am normal now lol.

Thank you xxx

So far today, one black coffee with two sugar, one glass of cloudy apple juice and two pieces of white toast with jam and peanut butter.

Not good, nor very much Hmm

BUT! In my defence * ALERT! Stealth boast approaching!! * i'm going out to dinner at Chez Bruce at 7.30 so I'm 'saving' myself for their culinary delights which will include dessert! Grin

JambalayaCodfishPie · 12/02/2012 17:08

Today I've had

2xbowls cereal
2xtoast

2xmini pizzas
2xbags of skips

2xrice crispy cakes.

Everything's in twos today!

Having Scampi, Chips and Peas for tea - just the one portion! Grin

PoppyS34 · 12/02/2012 17:28

Today I've had:
Bacon and egg sarnie for brekkies, de-caf coffeee and some blueberry yoghurt

Quesadilla for lunch

and having roast lamb for dinner

Doing much better today than yesterday, when my diet consisted mainly of chocolate. Blush

ChineapplePunk · 12/02/2012 22:27

Bad again today!

Breakfast: Bran flakes with skimmed milk. Banana. Glass of pineapple juice.

Snack:Beanscene skinny hot chocolate and piece of victoria sponge.

Lunch: 3 wholemeal rolls (they were quite small) with cream cheese and smoked salmon.

Snack: Some Caramel Chewy Ben and Jerry's. (quite a large portion of 500ml tub) :(

Dinner: Some olives and a glass of pineapple juice.

All meals punctuated with water, Pregnacare, and iron tablets (as usual).

I need to kick my arse very soon. Need a veg boost.

bonbonpixie · 12/02/2012 23:17

Really thought I was doing well today until I started typing...
So breakfast was 2 yogurts and 2 apples with orange juice and decaf tea.

Lunch was um.. 3 bacon rolls with loads of tomato ketchup and a few handfuls of dried cranberries.

Tea and homemade carrot cake muffin as snack.

Dinner was a Cajun pepper casserole with red rice and a lot of natural yogurt and um.......2 chocolate oranges (and not the bars) I did share a little bit but mostly I scoffed them all by myself. Oops

ChineapplePunk · 13/02/2012 19:52

bonbon, Two chocolate oranges! That is awesome! The other day I had two coconut buns, one yumyum, a mars bar and a picnic, in between my normal meals, which were gargantuan! :) I may also have had some B & J's ice cream in amongst all that.

PoppyS34 · 13/02/2012 21:12

today was a better day...

one crumpet and porridge for breakfast and de-caf coffee
satsuma and kiwi

lunch was ham and cheese sarnie with miso soup
(and a packet of crisps)

apple

and homemade pie for dinner with salad
:o

Kiwiinkits · 14/02/2012 10:55

God, I scoff more than all of you. Won't even list what I eat as I'm too embarrassed! (34 weeks)

Side note: I noticed that only one of you has mentioned oily fish. Omega 3s during gestation are exceptionally important for skin and brain development in babies. Lack of omega 3s are also linked to post-natal depression in mothers. So think about upping your fish quotas, ladies. If you can't stand fish, try flax oil on your cereal every morning.

puddingnazi · 14/02/2012 11:09

yesterday:

breakfast:Toast and marmite
Brunch: packet of smoky bacon crisps
lunch: ham and wotsit sandwich
dinner: chicken kiev with roasted charlottes and salad
pudding: grapefruit with lots of sugar...

healthy

im craving carbs so badly !!!

PoppyS34 · 14/02/2012 11:18

Thanks for the tip kiwiinkits, does tuna count as oily fish? I've got that for lunch today.

Might have to find other sources as gone off fish a bit :(

PoppyS34 · 14/02/2012 11:25

Phew, i'm saved. Just read that other sources of Omega 3 include:
Eggs
Dark green veg
Walnuts, Brazil Nuts, Hazelnuts, Pecans :o
Sunflower and flaxseed oil
Sesame seeds

MandaHugNKiss · 14/02/2012 12:40

Oh, if you can only face eating pringles all day long then do as I do and take the pregnacare plus, which includes a capsule of 'pregnancy grade' omega oils... there are other brands available too. I think boots and superdrug probably do an own brand one.

justhayley · 14/02/2012 12:55

Keep telling myself its all ok because I hardly ate a thing between weeks 10-16 (just havent stopped since!) whoops!
