Hiya I'm 28 weeks and since becoming pregnant hardly ever feel hungry! I'm worried my baby isn't getting enough food - don't think I'm getting 2,000 calories some days let alone an extra 2-300! If my body needed more do you think I'd start getting hungry? I'm forcing myself to get meals in at the moment :( it's unlike me I'm someone who loves my food - and lots of it lol.
My BMI was normal to start with - iv put on a stone and at last appointment my measurements were all fine - so baby is growing well but i don't want him to be hungry or go without!
What have you eaten today - yep I want your food diaries so I can get a rough idea if I need to try fit more food in, or perhaps I just ate too much pre pregnancy and am normal now lol.

Thank you xxx

with a glass of limeade

justhayley · 07/02/2012 21:13

Grin so glad so many of you are getting involved - thought it might end up one of those threads everyone ignores lol.
Iv been particularly rubbish today, iv eaten a decent amount compared to normal but I must admit it's all been pretty crap!
Just polished off a pizza - although did have salad with it! I'm exhausted today & couldn't face cooking. DPs in the Army & when he's about I deff eat better - help with the cooking makes me less lazy. Just deciding if I should open the bag of harribos I am supposed to be sending him, like the biscuits I fear if I open them I'll finish them lol.

Ps Beyondthelimits - of course post away every day, think it will help me too - we can shame each other into eating our veggies Grin

B- honey hoops

L- chicken, chorizo and salami, a tsp of dairylea, rice crispy cake Blush

D- I few bites of pasta bake

S- skips. Blush

It's horrendous. It's all I've wanted though.

Dozeyland · 07/02/2012 21:25

i'm worried about my 28 week check and check for GD now.....

MrsHoarder · 07/02/2012 22:27

Special K with blueberries and whole milk for breakfast
Bannana and yogurt for "second breakfast"
Peanut butter on wholemeal toast for elevenses
Reheated hotpot for lunch
Tea loaf (homemade) for afternoon tea
handful of cashew nuts for snack
Filled pasta with cheese (with frozen peas for bonus veg) for dinner
More cereal and milk for supper

All those portions are tiny though: a bit of a hang over from first trimester nausea. I can't make myself eat more in one sitting but having lost a lot of weight need to get the food in somehow. It helps to always have healthier food to hand though: feel much better about toast than I do about chocolate biscuits!

ChineapplePunk · 08/02/2012 00:54

Today I had:

Breakfast: Bowl of bran flakes with skimmed milk. Glass of pineapple juice.

Teabreak: Yoghurt and banana

Snack: Chunky kitkat

Lunch: Quorn cottage pie and an apple.

Dinner: Two bagels with quorn sausage. Packet of WW crisps and WW choc cookies. Grapes.

Jesus! I need to start eating my greens! Got a bag of spinach in fridge :)

SwivelHips · 08/02/2012 03:06

Right now 2 rennies and black tea. Bloody heart burn in the world......

Boomerwang · 08/02/2012 03:23

Just ate a load of salt and vinegar crisps :D Before that I had some crinkle cut chips and half a can of sainsbury's hot chicken curry (surprisingly delicious!) sent over to me by DM. That's it. Hmm.

I wouldn't worry about your baby not getting enough nutrition, your body will drag it out of your reserves. As long as you chug the multi-vits you should be just fine.

34 weeks tomorrow, and yesterday I had:

Breakfast: Cup of tea and 4 biccies

Morning snack: Wotsits, dried apricot bar, 1 slice of cheese sandwich, orange

Lunch: Jacket spud with beans, butter, cheese and chilli relish (could eat that all day, all week if it not give me dodgy stomach and I know I have limit myself to one a week Sad )

Afternoon snack: chocolate m & m's milkshake

Tea: egg and toast, glass of orange juice

Before bed: cup of warm milk and some more biccies.

always have water on the go, throughout the day.

Blush oh dear, that is not looking very healthy.

mrsallcock · 08/02/2012 12:49

eat what you fancy I say, and it show in your measurements the baby is growing well They say it goes in families like if your mum and sister had small babies then you will, but that might be an old wifes tale.
I'm 24 weeks and feel always hungry but like simple things, never in mood for cooking but do as off work. Pregnancy has encouraged my sweet tooth though.
Started eating Ben and Jery's ice cream never done brought any before.

PoppyS34 · 09/02/2012 13:40

So far today I've had crumpets, a doughnut and some brazil nuts.

I just posted on the august thread about my dinner last night - it was 5 slices of cheese, a few brazil nuts, some veg and potato!

I'm only 14+5, but have just gone off eating a bit .. :(

must do better! :)

Dozeyland · 09/02/2012 14:12

Today i've had

Porridge with chopped banana
chocolate milkshake
lasagne with sweetcorn for side
cadburys creme egg.

i really dont eat enough fruit or veg. getting me down now. I just crave crap! tonights dinner will be last nights chicken & tomato pasta...

My goals are to eat more F & V, and drink more fluids! probably why I'm finding it so hard to go to toilet! :( Blush

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 09/02/2012 14:21

Bananas are binding Dozey they wont be the best fruit choice to help you "go"... Wink

I had frozen summer fruits in my porridge today, chucked them in the microwave frozen with the porridge and it went all nice and purple Grin

PoppyS34 · 09/02/2012 16:09

I really want a creme egg too now! Eggs are good right? :)

Dozey I am with you on the diet/toilet troubles Blush Blush

ariane5 · 09/02/2012 16:15

Iam 28 weeks and am starving every single dayso far today ive had:

blueberry muffin
yogurt
banana
4 slices wholemeal toast and butter with marmite
cucumber slices
2 raw carrots
big bowl of watercress and spinach
3 homemade egg/dairy free choc cupcakes with dairy free buttercream
bowl of pasta with mixed vegetables
2 bars of turkish delight

MrsLister · 09/02/2012 16:18

Yesterday I had:

Breakfast - Two boiled eggs and toast with fruit salad

Lunch - bowl of cornflakes

Dinner - two bowls of cornflakes (!) and 2 slices of Jamaica Ginger Cake

Cornflakes with ice cold milk appears to be my #1 craving along with Guinness which is bloody annoying as I'm only 11 weeks so can't have any yet!

Concerned I'm not eating enough veg but I'm taking Pregnacare Plus so hopefully they're helping...

MandaHugNKiss · 09/02/2012 16:29

Breakfast - black coffee, two (brown, unrefined!) sugars. The DF got up and made me a cup of black tea again with two sugars.

Lunch - curtesy of pret a manger: tomato soup, italian chicken salad

Mid afternoon - also from pret, half a cheddar ploughmans sandwich on granary. Few slurps of cloudy apple juice.

Feeling thirsty now... do I make myself a semi-skimmed latte or more apple juice? Decisions, decisions! ANd I know it looks terrible that I skip breakfast but it's made up during the day (I will eat the other half of that sandwich, probably soon, and have dinner at about 9. So I just eat later...)

ChineapplePunk · 10/02/2012 17:02

This is bad. Had shortcake biscuits and water for my breakfast. A tuna sweetcorn sub and coconut bun for lunch. And I've now ordered a cheese and tomato pizza from Domino's with two tubs of B & J's. Only wanted the ice cream, but couldn't reach the minimum order with just ice cream. :(

I'll be good tomorrow....

SarryB · 10/02/2012 17:53

I'm 29 weeks today.
Bowl of fruit and fibre with milk
4 shortbread biscuits
A bagel heaped with crunchy peanut butter
An apple
A roast venison dinner.
And I'll probably have a mars ice cream at some point

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 10/02/2012 18:04

Today so far...

Purple porridge with summer fruits, coffee, multivits
The last three homemade biscuits
Pesto pasta with veg
Half a digestive bar shared with DS
Turkey and chickpea chilli with cous cous

Hugely jealous of your food chineapple!!

PeahenTailFeathers · 10/02/2012 18:14

Blush at the tiny amounts of food most people eat on here when compared to what I'm shovelling away!
Almost 27 weeks and today's meals were:
Breakfast - large bowl of Special K with blueberries, strawberries and whole milk, a banana, 3 dried apricots and 4 dates
Lunch - tin of M&S bean, vegetable and chilli soup, 2 crackers with butter and cream cheese, 1 satsuma, 1 plum, a tub of yoghurt
Dinner - will be having 2 soda bread sandwiches, 1 Quorn chicken and stuffing slices, 1 cheese, tomato and pickle, both made with plenty of butter. Might have a couple of potato waffles as well.
I also have a giant bag of Monster Munch and a large Galaxy caramel that need eating up Grin

HardCheese · 10/02/2012 18:22

35 weeks, also taking a daily Pregnacare multi-vit.:

Breakfast: cup of hot milk, sourdough toast and hummus, an apple.

Lunch (restaurant): salad of mint, blood orange, greens, pomegranate, pancake filled with fontina and jerusalem artichokes, more salad with mustard dressing. Mint tea.

Dinner: banana, orange, two kiwi fruit, apple.

My appetite seems to have dwindled lately - there doesn't seem to be enough room for the baby and the contents of my stomach. Looking at this day (yesterday), it doesn't look like I'm getting enough protein - I'm vegetarian - but I think I average out OK, and my bloods are all good.

I think I ate less healthily earlier in the pregnancy, when nibbling dry starchy things was the only way to stave off sickness.
